One of my favorite songs of the Black Rose LP. Had never seen this clip until this evening. A bit corny in comparison to the rest of Lizzy's videos. Almost fell off my chair in laughter when Scott comes out in the end and starts mouthing the lyrics. What a great band filled with such talented players. Long live Lizzy!

It's one of the most corny clips ever, but then the whole Scott thing at the end saves the whole clip. If he didn't come out this would have been truly horrible. I love the girls coming on one by one and looking at the camera crew for their cues to get off the stage. And honestly, couldn't they have got a sligthly cuter girl for the bit playing with the dog? She creeps me out slightly - apoligies if she ever reads this, but her haircut is awful.

It's funny because Scott Gorham didn't even play on this.

By the way, the song was co-written by Gary Moore. It's only Phil, Gary, Huey Lewis on harmonica and a drum machine. It was originally meant to be on Phil's 1980 solo record, but was put on Thin Lizzy's 1979 record "Black Rose".

Gary's not in the video because he'd left the band a few months before (in the middle of a US tour) due to Phil & Scott's drugs. Phil was already a major cocaine user, but started heroin in 79.

Where I said phaser I could have meant an echo/reverb thing set very wobbly. Don't think they had digital delays back then. In the intro its obviously a (Roland) drum machine. Very analog. Time flies... :o)
