  • Folligen and minoxidol trust me.

  • @suprajazz Hey I seen your comment on a different video for alopecia or hair loss. Can you tell me where to purchase those oils? I see too many sites and want to be sure to get the right stuff.

  • My hair fell out in clumps 3 yrs ago. Derm diagnosed Alopecia Areata. Blood work - normal. Depressed. Medications did nothing. Wigs. Self Conscious about dating. Had to stop chems but didn't know how to care for natural. In my despair I asked God to show me the lesson in all this. He said "Black hair is beautiful & so are u". Now I love natural. I baby it. Most grew back w/essential oils and dense curls disguise the rest. People say they're jealous of how long and healthy my hair is. Be blessed.

  • I have the exact same problem. Mine started when I was 15. I am now 35. I too did the collagen shots- which were very painful with little results. I wanted braids but was too self-conscious of the many bald spots I had. I they seem to be growing now. I have learned to live with it but now I am going natural and using all natural products to hopefully slow down the hair loss. It is a really emotional thing. Thanks for the videos!

  • THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO ON HAIR LOSS. I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CENTRAL CENTRIFUGAL CICATRCIAL ALOPECIA. DOES YOUR COMPANY HELP PEOPLE LIKE ME WITH HAIR LOSS GRANT THEM A FREE FULL CRANIAL PROSTHESIS. IF SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO RECEIVE THIS GIFT.

  • u should try emu oil! i lost some hair in my hairline from braids and started using emu oil in 2 weeks im already seing hair growth

  • 2 of the 3 that I went to were almost over joyed in breaking the news to me that my hair was never going to grow back. It is a very hard diagnosis to get especially when you are a woman. Thanks for making your video, it's good to know I am not alone. Let me know if you know of any suggestions.

  • I was told that I had traction alopecia and I had it in 2 spots in the front. Now I am finding more spots in various parts of my head??? Does traction alopecia spread? I went natural earlier this year, and I agree with you 10000% that the kinks and curls really do help to mask alot of it. But my big fear is that it is spreading and one day it isn't. I have been to several dermatologists and I am afraid to go back because the ones I went to were not sensitive at all.

  • Great information, from a personal view. I'm blessed not to have this problem, but I do see it as that, a problem. The more information for those that are going through this, the better. Education is key! My hat goes out to you for sharing, again...great info and video ;0)

  • I thought my hair loss was due to my IUD (I had both copper & hormones) So I tried the ovatation cell therapy and it worked wonders! My hair grew back in ALL my bald spots! Problem is it's 60$ and too expensive for me right now :0( but I now I have another bald spot and can't afford the therapy. I also take vitamins & exersie :0) but that Cell therapy really does work!

  • You are a very beautiful woman, I like your natural hair very much, I wish you the best!.

  • Have you tried Emu Oil? I was researching it and it is know to treat Alopecia. I haven't tried it yet as it is expensive but I will in the future.

  • I 'm almost 40 and I've lost my hair at the of age 12 I do have Alopecia, I am so sad always been sad, I wish I could be like my sisters, I have a twin and an older sister who does not have the same problemle , I do prey to GOD why me I was only 12 years old what did I do to get this!!!!!!

  • You are very pretty if that is you!

  • Have you tried to reduce the amount of times you wash your hair?

And, even more important, have you tried to quit using (most) hair products. I wash my hair once a month and only use pure Olive oil as a conditioner. I do not comb my hair anymore (i am growing locks), and it seems like I have stopped losing anymore hair.

My hair will not grow back on the scarred areas, but the rest of my hair has grown back full and thick .

  • Thank so much for your strength, courage and willingness to share and help others with this issue. Your beautiful.

  • What do you think about laser treatments?

  • @laurap19 havent tried it...heard about it tho...i personally dont trust any of the rememedies out there any more to be honest, it just embraced what i have left, and try to work around the hair loss w diff techniques.

  • thank you for posting i cry about my hair loss often

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • You're not only a brave and amazing woman for posting this video you're also beautiful! Thank you for sharing :-)

  • I watched your video and I cried. For so many years I have felt like I was all alone and nobody understood what I was going through. You don't talk about it to other people with hair. I always keep my hair fabulous, but just like you said it doesn't feel the same when you are wearing fake hair out of necessity. I am really into natural products and vitamins but you did suggest a few things that I was not aware of.Thank you so much for your positive energy. You really gave me hope.

  • I commend you sista. Either way you're beautiful. I was diagnosed with scarring alopecia four years ago though I was suffering from it for about 12 years. I'd recommend going vegan for a few weeks just to see what happens. For some reason by me shaving regular I keep the symptoms down.

  • I have seborrheic dermatitis and I have hair loss in the crown area. I went to a dermatologist and he had me on pills and creams which did not work at all. It was not until I went to the health food store and started trying natural products, such as neem oil, biotin, and tea tree oil based products that I saw results. I have been taking GNC ultra nourishair, biotin and using natural hair products. Now, my hair is growing back and NO itching! Thank GOD!

  • Thanks 4 your video. Diagnosed with scarring alopecia about 4 years AFTER going natural. My hair grew beautifully with no perm; it was down my back. Today it is thin and dead and short. The dermotologist called it pseudopolade. Any suggestions since I am already natural, exercise and take vitamins???

  • @stormiemonday I take many vitamins (but not as consistent as i should be) i take flax seed, vit C, vit b, biotin, iron, MSM and blood clense pills

  • omg i am so happy that i found your channel i have been suffering hair loss for over five years now and i am so depressed about it my scalp gets so itchy and is at times red raw and it causes me pain. it started off the size of a penny i had taken out my weave and there it was now my whole top area of my head is bald. reading your comments and watching your video has given me hope

  • very good advice

  • This is also cause by fungus that is found in weave hair. The cheaper hair especially, which this makes sense to me. Only god knows where that hair comes from, is stored or packaged and fungus grows in the package. A friend lost all of her hair in the crown of her head. A biopsy was done on piece of her scalp and it was fungus which was eating her hair. After taking an oral antibiotic and steriod injections her hair is finally coming back. After three months of severe hair loss.

  • oh sweetie thank you for your video...i must admit that i got the same problem....but i have to treat my hair loss with ellcranell and minoxidil... i would like to have my beautiful hair back but what can i do? it´s very strange cause i had such a beautyful hair and my sister (thanks to the lord) haven´t this kind of problem.

im a mix of german/ latino (black)...and i live in germany ...but here and in my homecountry i received the same medication.

i would like to recommend my shampoo ANAPHASE!

  • Thank You so very much. I was just recently told that I have CCC. I have lost just about the entire crown of my hair. I searched and this was the first female video that was true.

  • Have you seen a significant difference in hair growth since starting the scalp treatments?

  • @MsChocolate75 no, not at all. it slows the alopecia down not stop it nor does it promote growth :(

  • Thanks for the video. I have hair lost at the top and my hair is NOT thick. I cut all of my hair off last year and was wearing a "boy cut"... now I have started to let me hair grow out and I have locked my hair... Its an easy style that allows me to wear my hair w\o weaves or wigs.

  • @Nadiakbrown im glad you found something that works for you! thanks for watching.

  • Hi Upscalehair -- I have been on a 3 mo treatment of doxycycline and clobetasol topical treatment that works for about 2 wks -- I relapse -- then it works for 2 wks -- and so on. I will be going for my 1st check-up since my initial diagnoses to discuss what the current treatment has done for me. I noticed that you said in your video that you had scalp injections. Can you advise me on how well you done with the injections and how long it helped you? Your response will be greatly appreciated.

  • @mrsjnicole1 to be honest, i have not been keeping up w the injections..to many emotions for me...every month..my doc also stated that it would only slow it down but not necessarily stop it from spreading.

  • @upscalehair Oh! Ok! Thanks for your response back to me.

  • Oh! Ok! Thanks for your response back to me.

  • Have you considered a new diet to help stop the spread of your alopecia?

  • Thank You so much I am newly natural and I have some alopecia that was getting worst with relaxing my hair. Since going natural I am noticing that I have some hair growth in areas that was very thin almost totally bald. My daughter whom is 14, her alopecia is very bad on her sides. Thanks so much for the insight.

  • @MsBrownsugar79: there is a naturopathic approach on my site - but for only a few days.

  • Thanks for this video:-) I really felt your heart on this issue. Hair loss can be very painful. I know you said that your type of Alopecia will continue to spread in the coming years. I want you to know that that God can heal and totally restore your scalp and provide a full head of hair. I am a Bible believing Christian African American woman experiencing some hair loss at the crown. I was down at first but my mother reminded me of what God can do...:-) I share the same with you!!

  • Thank you so much for your insight and sharing your experience. I have considerable hair loss on both sides of my head by my hairline. I currently have locs and have been natural for 16 years. I've been told my hairdressers there's nothing that can be done. I'm embarrased and conceal my hair loss by wearing scarves. Most people think it's for fashion purposes, but it's to hide the loss. There are styles I wish I could wear but because of the baldness I'm too self-conscious.

  • this makes me feel kind of hopeless because I have been steady losing hair. I lost hair a couple of years ago in my temple area but this past year it got worse and I don't understand why because I've been natural for a while. I guess it was the pulling but I haven't gotten braids in years. my hairline has started thinning more and more and I just noticed I have a bald spot in the back at my hair line which probably came from braids in the past. I don't know what to do.

  • Thank you for this Information! You are a blessing

  • Thank you so much for this information. I was just diagnosed with Central Centrifugal Scarring Alopecia which used to be called hot comb alopecia in July of this year after suffering with a severe itchy scalp for about 10 years. Fortunately, I haven't lost any of my hair because my situation is very slow progressing and I am now being treated with antibotics & steroids. It is such a blessing to finally be able to put a name to what was going on with my scalp. I am now wearing a boy cut.

  • @mrsjnicole1 youll see...if your rocking a boy cut unrelaxed..the longer it grows the less noticable it will be...you have the same alopecia i have...but mine is agressive and then it slows down (its aggressive when i stress)...Had to learn that bit of knowledge the HARD WAY!! :-(

  • @mrsjnicole1 OH YEA..THANKS FOR WATCHING!

  • Comment removed

  • @mrsjnicole1: Antibiotic and steroid do not work you need something stronger in the naturopathic approach. I will leave it posted on my site for only a few days.

  • Thank U so much 4 the information!!! I didn't realize people talked about this subject. I, unlike you, have very fine hair. But I keep on pushin. I'm sure I can look better by wearing a front lace (or the like). But i'm not willing to compromise myself, yet. I like myself (bald and all). But I do deserve to look my best. So, I'm still battling the issue with myself. Also, I feel that once you go extremely glamorous (weave), you can never go back. Again, THANK U so much!!!

  • @Tmoricalero youll go back..(to your natural hair) .if you love your own hair more! :-) thats how i feel...no weave, wig or any other form of extension..will make me feel better then wearing my own hair! :-) especially when your losing it! i wont give up ...just like ur not! thanks for watching...

  • Thank you

  • Thanks so much for the advice. You have beautiful eyes....

  • @ddhdearlove thanks, and thank you for watching! ;)

  • Thanks for sharing your hair story.

  • @typ711 You are so right with god nothing is impossible! I use olive oil on my hair to keep it moist and I have also applied it to my bald area that have spreading at one time slowly through the years constant shedding etc but now since I have been using olive oil inspired by god to do so my bald spot is almost gone and the bald scar I can not find it so trust and believe god on this one.

  • @mzletstalk AMEN!!!

    I love what you said.

I refuse to listen to any doctors report but the Report of God is the best !

  • Thank you so much for sharing, :-) God bless you!, I am 26 and have hair loss as well, it can be very hard for a woman's self esteem, it is good to hear from other women who go thru the same, it makes you feel like you are not alone.

  • my hair loss is do to hormonal and yes its very painful. i use lace wigs to go out and one thing that hurts me the most is when it comes to taking it off at night before i go to bed. this hair loss prevents me from being intimate at times for fear of my wigs falling off .. lol .. but thanks for this vid.. it lets me know im not alone..

  • @lovedemtrees1 I completely understand, and I have the same feeling when is time to take it off, I am blessed to have a partner that understands my condition and still makes me feel beautiful, but sometimes its really hard to be feel 100% confident.

  • Please remember with God nothing is impossible!

  • @typ711 you are sooo right!

  • @sunlite732 thanks for watching!

  • Thank you so much for this video. It is really inspiring

  • Thank you... I'm struggling and your vid has helped me to cope... Bless you

  • @mboyd3550: Try the naturopathic approach. I will leave the approach posted on my site for only few days.

  • Your video was very helpful im struggling with a hair loss issue its reoccurring in different spots so i will check into diff resources to help my problem

  • thanks..good luck to you! :-)

  • btw - You are rocking that purple girl!! I love it!! You are beautiful and natural so keep it up!

  • thank you

  • Thank you so much for this video! I am experiencing this same disorder. My hair dresser informed me that this is what I am suffering with but I had already read up on it by visiting websites. I will be going to a derm doc real soon! In the meantime topical rx cortisone is helping with the intense itching and burning and is helping slow down the rate of hair loss. Cicatricial alopecia is a very devastating disease, but it helps to know there is help out there.

  • thank you so much for making this video. i have been struggling with hair loss my whole life. it will grow to slightly above shoulder length and then it will just break off and shed. now my nape and temples refuse to grow! i am forced to wear weaves-not to enhance but to hide. i don't know what to do. shampoos and special medicated hair products aren't working either. thank God for being able to cover your loss. i'm to the point where i hate weave and wigs.i just want healthy hair! thanks again.

  • have u tried dermatologist? mayb they can give u some non over the counter stuff..i know at the end of the day..u want to be natural..

  • Thanks for sharing

  • YOu are so brave for making this video. I have had alopecia areata since I was 10 (14yrs now). I have had significant loss all aroung my hair line. I also went natural and noticed that my hair fell out really bad when I stressed out. Now most of it has grown back but it has been such an emotional journey. Seems like the healthier I am the less active my alopecia is. I'll be trying the shots soon. So much to say here... Stay stong. l love the mohawk!!

  • couldnt agree w you more!!! and thanks :-)

  • This is my story...I had steroid shots, medicated shampoo...nothing works...I have traction alopecia...I was thinking about cutting all my hair off but I scarred my thinning hair will show...my hair is thick, but not kinky

  • depending on where the traction alopecia is..it probably will show . ive done all that too! i wont cut my hair again. and my alopecia is gettn alot worse...cutting it will not make it more hideable :-(

  • Have you tried Toppik or haircube?

  • thx for the help im trying to grow my hair
