In real life the plane would be broke before you've even got the runway in sight. Overstressed plane = Halfway broken. And with an engine on fire for that long the rest of the plane would have caught fire aswell... But I still admire you're cabing view, cause I don't know how to get to that view ^^. So if anyone knows?... :)

You can only fly with 1 engine under 4000 feet which is the safety point

wow, that was something. your flying technique, if you have that, was very very bad. why would you leave the gears down for the entire period? there were closer airports where you could have landed safely. why didn't you cut off engine 2?????? on final approach you play too much with thrust and for that reason you could not land properly. you need to learn a lot, but it was good that you posted the video, at least you learn from your mitakes.

Ok this might be a newb question but why not cut the engine fire extinguishers on? dont they have them. I would have thought by the time he got to the ground the whole airplane would be on fire. Plus i saw a lot of airports. Isnt it your goal to find the closest airport to land at and not ur arrival airport??????

@ryfitzger227 The fire extinguishers on aircraft have the ability to put out the fire, however it is not a good idea to restart the engine after an engine fire without having maintenance check the engine. And, the fire extinguishers do not always put out the fire.

@ryfitzger227 well i dont know what he was thinking but if you use the extinguisher, you have no chance of restarting the engine ever again, which may be bad in some cases. It is also up to the captain to choose which airport he would like to land at. Some that you saw may not have a large enough runway or the captain may have wanted to land at a large airport.

On takeoff you went off the runway- you could see the center-line.

The landing was just downright awful - I think you need a bit more practice before uploading videos of you flying onto Youtube.

C'mon guys, It wasn't the best landing but try to imagine what pressure is on you when you're in such as emergency as pilot. I mean take a look at the air transat, the approach was fine but the pilot landed so hard that he blew 8 tires! That's all tires form the two back gear construction's. Anyways the approach should've been better. There is not much room for error when you have an engine fire!
