Okay, so Terra is lost (really not explained that much) his soul is alive but his body was controlled, thats right WAS controlled by Xehanort before he died and was reborn. Terra and Ven being in the land of departure was just symbolism. Ven is asleep and his heart went into Roxas but his memories gone, that's why Roxas was a nobody with a heart. Roxas going back into Sora, so Ven's heart is still in Sora.

No. Roxas is Ventus and Sora. This is because Roxas was born from Ventus's heart and Sora's body when Sora turned into a Heartless. With Sora a heartless, Ventus's heart had to go somewhere so it went to Sora's nobody (his body that no longer had a heart). That's probably why Roxas looks more like Ven then Sora. Just a theory I came up with.

My Theory: When ansem the wise sacrificed himself, he was sent to the world of darkness (AROUND 6:56) when he got there, it was after KH2 and aqua wasnt aged. xehanort went into terra's body and was young again. ventus went into sora's heart so that it could be repaired. when sora turns into a heartless in KH1, ventus leaves sora and Organization XIII find him. then 358/2 days happens so this with aqua and ansem are actually in around KH2-3. the rest is to come in KH3

Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be released soon! I garuntee it! As soon as Square Enix finished with Final Fantasy 13 Versus they will be working on the series up to the "Actual" core story gameplay. No more side-stories. My suggestion is to look at all of the sides stories as Birth From Sleep is an important one as well as the upcoming Dream Drop Distance.

That leaves the question, what's going to happen to Ven's body? If Ven's heart melded with Roxas, where does that leave his body. Also, what about Terra? He ever going to come back. Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be about Sora saving everyone like Axel, Xion, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra. Sora also has to defeat Master Xehonort who came back because both halves of him were destroyed(Xehonort's heartless from KH 1 and Xemnas from KH2). ^_^ KIngdom Hearts 3 is going to be "the end of the xehonort saga" as quoted by Tetsuya Nomura himself!
