  • Jeff do you still shoot this lil .45 ? Thanks for the great videos ! I really like this and the price has come down to 467 !

  • Jeff, have you ever reviewed an STI 1911?

  • I do not recall doing so. I believe the only STI that I have reviewed was their Texican revolver.

Mike Cumpston wrote an article back in 2007 (it's in our ARCHIVE section), detailing a visit to the STI factory and checking out their 1911s.

    jeff

  • this dudes gotta be a cool grandpa

  • can you recommend any double stack full size 1911's that are reliable?

  • The full-size PARA guns seem to run well.

    Jeff

  • Since your left hand shooter do you have problems with release button being accidentally press? Have you ever had that problem

  • Never.

    jeff

  • I had a standard FX45 in 4" and had tons of FTF's. After I polished the feed ramp and installed a new recoil spring it still had issues. After all that, the extrator broke! I must of gotten a lemon...

  • hi jeff ati called it the fat boy. here in the philippines we call that the crusader made by shooters arms mfg.those are one who manufacture for century arms and iver johnson. well all we can say its proudly philippine made!

  • Another great shortie! Thank you, Mr Quinn!

    tac

  • LOL, loved how your last shot was in the center of the bad guys barrel. =)

  • wish it came in at least a 4inch

  • I love this channel!

  • damn if i had a dollar for every gun safety violation in this video id be rich... ( exaggerated of course )

  • thanks for the quick reply Jeff

I'm trying to track down a dealer in Minnesota that carries these to hold in person

I think I might have found one an hour from me

I like the compact size and only one round less than my glock 21

  • Does it come with one or two magazines

    And what's the msrp

In comparison I just saw a Used Kimber Ultra ten. Compact polymer 45acp

    Any thoughts on that gun

  • One magazine, MSRP is $639.

  • Good looking little compact ! I like the fact that the grip is thin evan tho it's a double stack !

  • How does that extended magazine release feel when shooting left-handed? It looks like it sticks very far out compared to an extended release on a single-stack 1911-style pistol.

  • It is not in the way at all.

    Jeff

  • Have y'all reviewed the Colt New Agent yet? I just picked one up and really like it!

  • I have handled two of them, but have not yet fired one. I have to shoot one awhile before doing a review, but there are some reviewers who do not let little details like that stop them.

    Jeff

  • Damn, living in Canada we cant get em that short :( But I like this little pistol. Jeff, whats your opnion on it after shooting it more? Any more function difficulties? And by the way if your beard gets any more epic you are gonna be able to read the tablets on the mountain with a burning bush nearby :D

  • I knew a girl like that, but she got some ointment from the drug store. The burning stopped after a few days.

    jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom I just laughed so hard I spit my coffee out on my keyboard :P U owe me a test video of the Alaskan .45 Casull in payment for my soaked hardware lol!

  • @shkotay .454 Casull my bad :( Forgot the extra 4

  • What are your thoughts on this pistol compared to the para warthog?I enjoy yalls reviews thanks?

  • The Para Warthog had some teething problems at first, and the ones that I fired were not reliable, but that was about four years ago. I have not fired a recent one.

    jeff

  • is there a company that makes a left handed 1911 or left handed upgrades

  • Several pistol makers put ambidextrous safties on a 1911, and that is all that is needed. The Randall was a true left-handed 1911, but it has been out of production for about 30 years now.

    Jeff

  • Once again, an awesome review.

Per chance is there an error on your website stating; "ATI's FX-45 "Fatboy" pistol packs 35 rounds of 45 ACP into a compact weapon".

This caption is under the second picture situated on the left side of your written review.

Just a heads up as I totally appreciate the endless work you put into keeping your fellow enthusiasts objectively informed. Thanks again for the articles.

I check daily for each new one, and was pleasantly surprised to see two in one day.

  • Boge made a typo on that caption, and he has corrected it.

  • Once again, an awesome review.

  • glad to hear about its reliability, i have been thinking about a double stack 1911 but the stories of reliability have kept me away.

  • Nice!!! Looks like an updated LLAMA MiniMax 45. i own. Have you ever fired a LLAMA MinixMax 45. ??? if so any words about the weapon?

  • I have not fired that Llama

    Jeff

  • Nice capacity 13 round, thanks for the review

  • I like the 12 plus 1 of .45 acp in 1911 format.

  • What do you think of the stoeger Cougar 8000/

  • It looks good, but I have not fired one, so am not qualified to comment.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom My local, gun shop has a beretta, cougar for 600, and the stoeger for 489, and was wanting to know if it was better, or same? Thank's for the reply.

    Joe

  • Pretty close to the same. However, the Beretta will retain its value better.

    jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom, I thank you for your thoughts, on it. I may just splurge, and get the Beretta, they feel the same, ins the hand, and action, the the spring on the stoger feels tighter. I got a few good hand guns, just looking for something smaller in leanght. The full sized guns, they show, and are just uncomfortable, but I keep em in the truck, in the truck.

    Joe.

  • Wow!!! Beautiful gun!!! And 12 rounds!!!! It's mine.

  • I'm sure that Boge is still working on the webpage, but just in case, I'm getting 404 error trying to view it.

  • Yes, Boge is still working on it - taking him longer this time because there are two articles going up together, the ATI Fatboy and the ATI Sultan shotgun. He usually gets the web page uploaded within a few minutes of the video upload completing, I don't know how he does it.

  • @Gunblastdotcom That's what I figured. Just thought I'd mention it in case there was a problem with it. Thanks Jeff.

  • It's up now!

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks!

  • That looks like a nice lil 45

  • Sweet I didn't realize ATI would name a pistol after me :P

  • Nice video not a fan of the sub 1911's but love the full size ones.

  • nice review/pistol

  • Sweet pistol....

  • Great little 45cal.

    God Bless,

    Elba

  • Yea this "smartphone" makes me sounds so illiterate some times.

  • I meant down not dont, phone as crappy auto correct.

  • I hate it when inanimate objects think they know what I'm trying to say, and tries to finish my thoughts for me. Bad enough when the WIFE does it!

  • Damn at 3:42 chould you picture firing a bullet don't the barrel of your enemys gun??? Nice f you to them.

  • Takes p13 mags? or p14?

  • The mag on mine is stamped P14.

  • I'll keep my glock 30, thanks.

  • So will I - and probably this one as well.

  • do you know if ATI will make a Full-size version?

  • I do not know, but will be at a shooting range with some folks from ATI next week, and will ask.

    jeff
