Outsiders have been one of the only books by far that I have read so many times and have never gotten bored of, same with the movie. It's interesting how the rivalry between Socs and Greasers spawned many incarnations through each decade of the popular/rich/trendy clique against the outcast rebels, like in the 70s there was disco vs. rock, in the 90s it was jocks vs. punks, in the early 00s it was preps vs. goths and punks, and now it's gangstas vs. metalheads. Either way Outsiders rule.

Im proud to call myself a metalhead but since its a smaller school in an urban area its more metal head vs the farmers, hicks, and preps and the goths and emos try to fit in with the metal heads. I love these stories from this auther...they show how life can be so much different through a different person's point of veiw.
