  • Real Horroshow.

  • Best movie ever, masspleasures kinda of thing

  • I can say how much I love this trailer. Back then trailers were piece of art now it just damn commercial

  • @whatusee06 back then cinema was actually good

  • whats the name of this sexxxy song??

  • @Xavi827 "Baby did a bad bad thing" by Chris Issak from the cd "Forever Blue"

  • Shell, to serve the Devil, your excellency.

  • does it say somewhere that he put these certain secret messages in this film, because i really can't understand this film being a masterpiece especially with the stupid ass line at the end.

  • @Stormthunderrain 100% disagree. It's daring to have an ending lie EWS had. Can you explain why you thought it was stupid? I thought the humor was well placed after such a dramatic film.

  • @HayduMan1 I just felt the story was so pointless and it took so long to get to the point where there was actually something that would build up to a climax. And i just didn't get the need for the mass amount of sex situations in the film , it just seemed like some erotica rather then something like a clockwork orange by the same guy where you could understand it a bit more. Unno , maybe i should watch it again i guess.

  • Watched this fim twelve years later, only to find out that it's one of the finest Neo-Noirs of it's day.

Another haunting film by probably the greatest director of the 20th century.

  • BEST TRAILER EVER!!!!

  • "Observancy is a dying art" - Stanley Kubrick

  • @josegtrztv

    totally agree

  • @josegtrztv that's actually, and sorry if it's obvious, an amazing pun!

  • if anyone knows what it's called song on this clip?

  • @draganatomica I would also like to know that..

  • @draganatomica I found it! Chris Isaak Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing :)

  • when i was a kid, i thought this movie was porn....

  • @1102nm lol me too

  • @1102nm This trailer is obviously made for a porno

  • awful trailer for an excellent film.

  • @salamsucuksosis

Actually, Kubrick directed the trailer himself. This is exactly what he wanted audiences to see....think about the title...

  • @VforVideo I'm afraid he did not survive the consequences of exposing mind-control and the Network.

  • "Some sources say that Stanley Kubrick did not die because of natural causes but he was murdered for developing this movie, Eyes Wide Shut. Supposedly the director wanted ppl to know about the world of secret sexual rituals of the global elite. It is said too that he had the intention to show that the video of the Apolo 11 travel to the moon on 1969 was a montage in which he participated."

PD: /watch?v=-tAqA-ky2K0 this song goes well with the movie sometimes...

  • Stanley Kubrick is such a MASTERPIECE!

  • awesome movie

  • idk about all this underlying stuff, but i really like nicole kidman's performance, and quite honestly can't wait for Trespass. you should take a second from this arguing and check out the trailer: bitly(dot)com/o7TwhG

  • when i was a kid i used to sneek peaks when one of my parents said"Cover your eyes!" during the intro of the movie.....i heart white girls/Nicole kidman eversince

  • i really dont like tom cruise but in this movie i fell in love with his character ^^ amazing movie!

  • Tom Cruise may not be the most VERSATILE actor of his generation, but definitely has the most impressive RESUME of his generation. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @cinemapsycho91 I absolutely AGREE with you

  • @andrewchungsfsu AWESOME!!! Glad you agree!!!

  • @cinemapsycho91 Ford Coppolla, Riddle Scott,Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone,Sidney Pollack, Neil Jordan, Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spilberg,Brian DePalma, Paul Thomas Anderson, Michael Mann,....who could beat that set of directors? funny though, the bigger he gets the less interesting his acting gets....his early works are his best (Magnolia and Tropic Thunder are excellent though)

  • Comment removed

  • @morik1 Yes. I think his last GREAT performance was Collateral (2004).

  • @cinemapsycho91 Shame that he wants us to believe that we get sick because 75 million years ago an alien overlord threw dissidents into volcanoes and nuked them and their ghosts attach to our bodies.

  • @DevilMaster Whatever...

  • @DevilMaster - your an idiot..

  • @420yendal You can't spell. And you evidently believe in Xenu.

  • @DevilMaster - oh i'm sorry, you're an idiot.

  • @420yendal I'm not the one who believes in space tyrants and alien ghosts.

  • @DevilMaster - how sad... your life is obviously very boring...

  • @420yendal oh sorry, you're.

  • @420yendal On the contrary, rationalism is exciting. On the other hand, it must be pretty sad to be repeatedly told that you would be able to fly or teleport or be immortal, if only you would pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in auditing to get rid of body thetans.

  • @DevilMaster - I've never been told that in my life... and you're full of shit. After what you just said, i think you're just one of those people that takes it in one ear and lets it out the other.. anyways fuck yourself please and thanks.

  • @cinemapsycho91 How exactly do you believe Tom Cruise to not be very versatile? Both his resume AND his performances show a great dexterity in both genre and character. It's only because of Mission Impossible that he's been at all classified as a character actor. Try imagining what he would have become as an actor if the MI franchise had not steered him down that particular marketing path and I guarantee you will find a man who would have blown his generation out of the water >:[

  • @wenenen Versatility is found in the actor's portrayal of many different kinds of characters, not in the different genres of films he's in. And it is safe to say that he has experimented with all movie genres. But as far his versatility as an actor goes, no matter what character he plays, it's that same "ticking time bomb, short-fused, ranting, Tom Cruise" delivery.

  • @cinemapsycho91 The part where I argued your comment was the part where I disagreed with your opinion. I personally don't see that "Mr. Action-packed" Cruise in all of his performances. The point I was conveying is that this "ticking time bomb" persona that people put on him is ONLY there because of his career in the action genre. I'm convinced that had he turned down "MI" his "branch out" performances would have been received with less bias and proven a more universal success

  • @wenenen I understand. I never said that he was "Mr. Action Packed" with ALL of his performances. But, yes, the action/adventure/thriller part of his career has taken over for the most part. Overall, I do think that there is some talent to him as an actor.

  • Kubrick sacrificed himself with this film...

  • "The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise their power from behind the scenes."

-- Justice Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court.

"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes."

-- Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli of England, in 1844.

...Time to wake up and smell the coffee people. "Eyes wide shut" is a classic example of predictive programming. They don't say 'art imitates reality' for nothing :)

  • @FeelGood30 :)

  • Don't listen to the disinformants in here trying to dissuade people from the stone cold truth. Kubrick purposely placed many cryptic allusions and coded anecdotes within his films, everything is there for a reason-the man was extremely meticulous and very clever; 'clever' in a way that he could get the truth out without risking his own immediate personal safety. Satanic secret societies control this planet. Kubrick knew this, and tried to expose this fact in his films. Google Jay Weidner

  • @pmsan29 this. but there is so much more to research. Google William Cooper. Google Kay Griggs. Open your eyes.

  • @pmsan29 Why satanic?

  • @pmsan29 unless u mean "christianity" when u say "satanic secret societies" ur just another bleating sheep

  • NIGGER MOVIE IS NIGGER

  • @SmelDiferenToMidget Cause that made a lot of sense. IDIOT USER IS IDIOT.

  • @DjSickipedia MAD NIGGER IS MAD

  • Hey guys does anybody know the name of the song?

  • this film fucking scared the shit out of me.... thinking about any illuminati type of society is freaky!

  • I adore this film. I find it both mesmerising and shocking all at once. The dreamlike nature of the film just pulls you in everytime you watch it and you feel lost in it.Thank you Stanley Kubrick RIP.

  • NO ILLUMINATI, THIS IS JUST AN UNDERGROUND QUASI RELIGIOUS CULT WHO HAVE ORGIES AND SEXUAL RITUALS!!! OK?!?!? And no, I won't spoil the ending for you.

  • Thumbs up if Novacane brought you here

  • This movie is worthing watchign just to see Leelee in her underware and Nicole Kidman's ass!

  • Ok seriously people????? Stop with the illuminati bullshit and come back to planet earth. Also stop pushing your stupid conspiracy theories onto videos that have NOTHING to do with them.

  • This trailer is so misrepresentative of the actual film, this is exactly the reason why so many people didn't like it. Aslo why does everyone think that the secret society depicted must be the Illuminati? Can't it just be a vague general indirect reference to so group of extremely powerful people? And for those who think the Illuminati had Mr Kubrick killed, firstly what benefit would it have killing him? The film was still released. Also, he was pretty old, doesn't have to be murder!

  • I have the weirdest boner

  • i hate the illuminati they are everywhere

  • Lol, the website is surprisingly still up from '99. It doesn't play the spots (at least on my PC), though.

I remembering seeing this when I was like 12/13 for the naked women, but oddly enough, I ended up being fascinated with the movie because it was NOT cheapened by crude sex scenes, but eroticism (even though didn't know what that meant at the time). This movie, along with all of Kubrick's, has really evolved from my initial appreciation of it into something much deeper and intriguing.

  • I am as handsome as Cruise but for some reason I had trouble finding someone at my same beaulty level to have sex. I'm not that shy... could someone help me out?

  • @lotr450 you're a dumb cunt, don't even need to know you personally to know that

    'nuff said

  • @theeab1993 You need to get educated

  • @SBWaffelmann Yes ignorance. You're fuckin blind or deluded if you think this movie refers to anyone other than the Illuminati.

  • @lotr450 its sad that anyone would go through such lengths to analyze a movie. this movie is definitely not about the illuminati and it doesnt really refer to anyone.

  • @lotr450

i don't want to get too involved in your arguments regarding the illuminati but i'd just like to say i back you up

    100 %.

my grandparents were masons (from the same side). my grandmother was in the order of the eastern star and my grandfather was a high ranking mason who had ties with the illuminati.

it's a sad thing that so many people in this world are deluded and blind. and it worries me truly.

    but keep spreading the truth.

  • @paulunavailable thanks abunch

  • Kubrick was killed for this...

  • @RideMyBMW Yes, he was indeed. And the saddest part about that is that this film was critically panned and didn't open anybody's eyes. Most of the masses are just content with living within the illusion, within the matrix. They are content with living as slaves or cattle. Some hero's just die in vain or for the very few.

  • What's the name of the song that plays

  • @theeab1993 Chris Isaak - Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing

  • I can't believe the highest rated comment here is a freaking bullshit conspiracy theory...Anyway, this film was excellent. One of my favorite movies ever...

  • @sweetymuffin14 poor guy died of a heart attack.

  • Stanley Kubrick was such a genius. He may have only made 13 features but inspired people like Woody Allen, Scorsese and so many others. The music, everything about his films- showing the dark side of humanity- A true artist.

  • TITTIES!!!!

  • First Kubrick film released since Full Metal Jacket 12 years earlier.

  • after watching this, i know exactly what it is about

  • this is artistic porn

  • A fascinating film. Just as A.I is based upon Pinnochio, Eyes Wide Shut is an adult use of the Wizard of Oz as Tom Cruise takes the yellow cab down the road to where the rainbow ends and finds that when the mask comes off, the mighty wizard is a frail and frightened man underneath. Nicole Kidman brilliantly takes off the mask she wears in the relationship and this unnerves our hero. When he sees his own mask is on her pillow, literally, he too finally opens up. Honesty in marriage, Mr.Kubrick?

  • name of song plz !!

  • @ziomal1943 baby did a bad bad thing by chris isaak

  • Did anyone else get the feeling this movie felt like it lasted a whole long night?

  • We are watching this movie in class :DDD

  • @ChewingCharly I wanna go to your school.

    XD

  • can anyone explain to me why cruise cried at the end?

i mean, it was all fake, why is he so overwhelmed??

  • 0:41-0:42 Is there any way you could say no to anything she asked you to do? Nope. Such is the power of women.

  • the trailer is way better thant he actual film

  • @CrazyPerson03832 No it was Warner's fault they cut out all the good stuff from the movie oryginaly it was about Mind controll program that takes palce in the US there were many hardcore scenes with Nicole beeing brainwashed but Warner cut out all thouse scenes and Kubrick died or was killed

  • id of song please??

  • I am in love with this movie now. Originally it was my most un-liked Kubrick, but after watching it again I can really appreciate the structure, and feel it demonstrates.

  • @Schlumberjack101 That's how a lot of Kubrick's films are. The more you see them, the better they get.

  • Probably the best trailer ever. I thought the film was a bit long though.

  • TOP FIVE

    1.CLOCKWORK ORANGE

    2.THE SHINING

    3.EYES WIDE SHUT

    4.2001 A SPACE ODESSEY

    5.DR. STRANGELOVE

BUT ALL KUBRICK FILMS ARE UNIQUE AND SPECIEL.

  • @saqibk1 cool mate, my TOP FIVE is "slightly" different:

    1 - DR. STRANGELOVE

    2 - CLOCKWORK ORANGE

    3 - THE SHINING

    4 - BARRY LYNDON

    5 - 2001 - A SPACE ODISSEY

  • @eurekabach Good top five list also The Killing and Paths Of Glory are great, what do you think about Roman Polanski?

  • The best kubrick masterpieces to me,are both entertaining AND thought-provoking.I would consider the killing, paths of glory,dr.strangelove, the shining and full metal jacket to be kubricks best films.I would consider Lolita,2001,clockwork orange, barry lyndon and eyes wide shut as near masterpieces.Powerful, memorable, original but just not as gripping as the 5 aformentioned films,to me.I think kubrick is the greatest american filmmaker

  • @TheGatorfan93 I thought Clockwork Orange was best,

  • Kubrick always had the best trailers.

  • So underrated. My 2nd favorite Kubrick film by far.

  • @Phabulouso Agreed. This isn't his best, but it damn sure is GREAT!

  • also eyes wide shut describes everyone who is a fan of this movie...jeez...

  • probably inspired by what really happens in hollywood...

  • @stop08it and beyond.

  • anyone know the song? :)

  • kids under 18 dont watch

  • @srinaz IM SOOOO WATCHIN IT NOW

  • I think I will understand this movie only when I'll get married...

  • Is good as full metal jacket and the shining?? or overrated like 2001 space oddysey??

  • Good movie. One of the few that leave interpretation to the viewer.

  • Such an underrated movie. Not much happened, but you were still captivated by the personal journey of Tom Cruise's character.

  • still a very very good film, even if you dont like it, its still Kubrick

  • cool webpage

  • haha, our English teacher told us not to watch this movie cause it's to noughty, guess what the hole class is doin tonight.^^

    ohhh befor I forgett: KUBRICK=MASTER!!!

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken actually she wanted you to watch this movie, so as she can instigate a class-wide literature/drama discussion, at last :-)

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken we are watching it with our teacher :D this week :D

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken

You all just got tricked by reverse psychology, Problem?

  • @n1nja092 hell yeahhh :)

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken you should tell your English teacher it's based off of a fantastic novella by Arthur Schnitzler. The only differences in the film are the time (present day, not early 20th century) and the place (New York, not Vienna). The themes of double lives and the struggle to tell dream from reality are things I'm sure any english teacher would appreciate. Just because it's naughty doesn't mean it isn't brilliant or intellectual

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken Look on youtube there is an interviev with a guy that knew Kubrick wery well and made a documentary about him , the guy said that Kubrick smoked 15 ciggarets on the "Elite only" preemere of the movie to finaly hear that they didnt like the movie and many sceens need to be cut out , Kubrick didnt agree and died the next day , the movie was oryginaly about "MIND CONTROL" There were scenes With nicole beeing brainwashed like alex in kubricks" a clockwork orange" FUCK WB!!

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken - i voted UP because of your comment Kubrick=master!!! yes indeed yes!

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken - Learning to spell? But you're so right about Kubrick!!

  • @Orsley sorry man, I'm from Germany.

  • @Orsley - Oops! Sorry.

  • @IrgendwelcheGurken Your English teacher is obviously doing a terrible job at teaching how to spell and write.

  • haha, our English teacher told us not to watch this movie cause it's to noughty, guess what the hole class is doin tonight.^^

  • This movie was about the illuminati. Stanley Kubrick died shortly after viewing this film to Warner Brothers Studios because he exposed these occult societies. That is no coincidence. It was called "Eyes Wide Shut" for a reason. Thumbs up to let people wake up from their ignorance.

  • @lotr450

    1/10
