Robert Gibbs said the White House was "amused" by the tea parties, but that "nobody out there is making $250,000 a year" as if that were somehow relevant.
President Obama said that he was "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?

Now that my family is financially set (hard work, good decisions and family standards) I can hardly wait for this "Ponzi Scheme" house of cards to fall. Please... This movment is purely anti-Obama bashing. If there was anything genuine about this movement they would've been protesting deficits that had started darn near 30 years ago under Reagan's watch.
Better yet this movement should have started when Nixon took the U.S. off the gold standard. Heck, let's go all the way back to when the Fed Reserve bank was created which took the U.S. on the road to curency ruin, with the evils of fiat money.
