@martinwebber1 "June 2006, a $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to the discovery of an Ivory-billed Woodpecker nest, roost or feeding site.[3] In December 2008, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology announced a reward of $50,000 to the person who can successfully lead a project biologist to a living Ivory-billed Woodpecker" great, find the bird and disturb its natural life cycle -___- do u know how many idiots are going to search for this poor creature
@urbngrla it's comments like those that produce negative evidence for any conclusive findings of these birds. Thousands of reports are generated from hearsay that clog valuable time in the search for any physical evidence of their existence. I've had individuals come up to me numerous times and tell me they have an IBWO in their yard out at the farm, only to find it as a Pileated Woodpecker later on. Please do not say you have seen the "ghost bird" just to act big.
@reptileexperts i have them here my property but i would not want thousands of ass's on my property .i will load a picture of one in afew days . i know what they are and the difference between them and the pileated woobpecker...watch out for pictures or maybe video have to get chance to go down to the woods they are real shy birds..
saw one near "this island" he eludes to 11/27/09. photo soon to follow. i've seen them a few times before i knew about the big paycheck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't be convinced they still exist until someone shows a recently dead carcass of one.

"If indeed it still exists" -R.T.P. I hope they are around still, but seems like there would be more evidence.
