Selena was directed to speak in that way, it's called received pronunciation it's fact that 2% of the British population speak in R.P and Standard English. As it is seen as to be spoken by the wealthy, well educated and pompous, which is everything Cordelia is supposed to be! If they gave Cordelia a regional accent it could be hard for others to understand and she wouldn't be taken seriously.

@Superbook15 It's called a split screen, they film it separately, there was a girl would be in place of Selena at one point as Cordelia and Selena as Grace would cover the girls mouth then they would switch it around another time and Selena would be Cordelia and the other girl would be Grace.
