  • Great job dude!!! Like the Stewie shirt as well....nice touch. Peace.

  • I've been playing this song for YEARS but never got the clean parts in the verses totally figured out (how did you figure that out by ear?!!)... also thanks for showing me where the harmonics are! I think the one at :24 is a pinch harmonic as opposed to a (what do you call them?) natural harmonic.

Totally amazing!!! Very nice work. You are a natural if you had just learned this song!

  • holy shit thts awesome

  • brilliant.

  • I like your nose.

  • Nice cover Young man

  • Well played young man!

  • Great job dude, very clean.

  • awesome job and you look like Tim Lincecum!

  • Very well done.

  • this cover deserves thumbs up... How do you pluck a fret and let go but still keep the note going in the beginning of the song...

  • @TheNicoli12345 called harmonics. two types of harmonics, pinch harmonics and natural harmonics. natural harmonics are the ones you are referring to. at every interval of the string, you can find a harmonic area where you can rest your finger on the string (over the bar), but not fret down, pluck and let go at the same time, and you will get a nice chime called a harmonic.

  • bro..damn nice cover

  • The song is in the key of Ab (A Flat).

  • This is the best guitar cover of this song that I have ever heard. Keep on playing. Your awesome.

  • @Jonahize Thanks mate :)

  • Nice job man.All by ear. That is the best way to do it in my opinion. If you play enough guitar you will start to recognize certain chords and notes immediatly.I have been playing for 25 years and still do it by ear.Rock on!!!!!!!

  • Damn good job. You have a good sound with the music playing in the background. How did you mic it? Or whatever you did.

  • what key are you playing this in? E?

  • WTF Key are you in E? It sound nothing like what I am playing

  • I wish i had the skill to learn by ear!

  • wow one person has no soul! Good job young man!!! keep rocking brother!

  • I cant get over that solo you pulled off... I wish you would cover "Take Hold of the Flame" by the Ryche. To me thats their best song.

  • great job nigga!

  • whered you find the tab for this and sick job

  • ok, powersslave,\props stewie shirt! look, you're a talented guitarist but...watch the jet city woman video, chris de garmo has feel and soul while playing, stop staring at the guitar, you know the finger placement, move around, feel the song and solo!

you my freind, suffer from the guitar school of england, europe, great technical playing but little soul...watch steve clark/def leppard, he had soul... rock on

  • well done...

  • Cool! You´re a good guitar player, I really love that song.

    Greetings from Mexico.

  • It looks so easy when you play it. You're the reason why I'm gonna sell my guitars one day. ;-)

  • Nice work......DeGarmo would be proud.

  • sick les paul.. marshall amp???

  • dont lie....there is no fucking way you found out this song by ear.

  • This song is not all that complicated....And how do you suggest everyone who puts out the tabs figure it out if not by ear themselves??

  • 100% possible to learn songs like these by ear. Play long enough and you know what's going on in most songs just by hearing them. there are tons of commonly used solo fingering patterns and you know them just by hearing them..

  • just means hes better at it then you is all.

  • stfu, there is alot of technical things in the song which makes it impossible to learn just by ear...but i still give him props for learning it....and about the tabs i talked to micheal wilton himself and he told me he has never found any correct tabs for any of his songs.

  • well, did you know, that i have talked to the queen of sheba herself, and she has said that she is the only queen of sheba?

  • wow, your cool

  • There is good, then there is this guy. You got the stuff, son.

  • hey whered u get the tabs from???? and kick ass playing man

  • Thanks for the comment! :D

No tabs unfortunately, all done by ear :)

  • @mikel9054 nice cover and nice username

    up the irons!

    as i presume.

  • You did your note work...now you need to get the vibrato down a bit more.

  • that was great!

man you have a huge room!

  • Awesome. Sounded as if they were playing right there. Great performance.

  • Dude, that was amazing. I'm in awe of how talented you (and by extension CDG) are!

  • cdg would be proud. nearly perfect!

  • Awesome. Geoff Tate, are you listening?

  • AWESOME

  • that was awesome!

  • yea so that was SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH.

    great job man. amazing

its an outstanding song but watching just the guitar makes me realize how kick ass it is.

    man that rocked. thank you

  • That was a great job bud, nicely done. Glad to see younger QR fans.

  • What's up powerslave....thank you for the section tab on Walk In The Shadows. Waiting for you to post The Mission or Spreading the Disease...love to see it!

  • Awsome work! You're right, theres not a lot of QR covers on here...(the few that exist are recorded badley...or just suck)

Seems like your Gibson isn't holding the sustain as well as it could...just an observation...is that perhaps due to a pedal? Anyhow, I look forward to more QR stuff from you! I'm subscribing to you for that purpose. And your talent by ear is amazing!

  • AWESOME!!! I really like the way you played this tune...GREAT!

  • Holly Fuck dude! that was so fucking bad ass!

  • Dude, you rock!

    -FXS

  • love the shirt!!

  • What I appreciate the most about your work is that you have covered all the fillers, all the small arpeggios, slurs, the small stuff that fills out the song, instead of just focusing on the flashy parts...AWESOME job and a Joy to watch and listen to.

Now if only DiGarmo would get sick of driving planes!!

  • Do Another Rainy Night, should be pretty easy for you.

  • Nice amp! I use the ATV100x, a hybrid, and it's pretty good. Put up some more Ryche!

  • It certainly is!

Im working on it :) I realised that Ryche are my fave band and I didn't have much on here, so I'm trying to amend that lol!

  • There`s a pretty good band out of England you might of heard of them... Judas Priest ! A good tune to start with would be Beyond the Realms of death

  • To be honest I'm not a huge fan of JP - I like a couple of songs but not many. They just never really grabbed me!

  • @Jimbo1268

    NICE !

    i want to play how u (;

  • Dude, nice job, what amp are you using?

  • Hey man!

Thanks! Im using a Marshall JVM for this one :)

Thanks for watching - I appreciate it!

  • I am 33 years old, and have been playing guitar since I was 12. I must say....DAMN. I play songs only by ear and this one was always a tough one. Glad I can pick up some ideas from you. P.S. It sucks that I now am the old dog, learning new tricks. Loved It.

  • If it wasn't perfect I wouldn't know the difference. It sounded great to me! I'll show this to my son and see what he says....he's the guitar player in the family.

  • the harmonics are wrong though. Chris played notes high on the fretboard, they weren't harmonics

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry mate, but Chris does play them as harmonics - check ANY live Queensryche vid of this song with Degarmo out :)
