So who was the stunt man that did this was it knievel or someone else, Knievel jumped bike over 24 double deck british buses sided by side in London, he also did 24 greyhound buses side by side in the states.
Just as the drumming starts I remember, wait - the girl cries. And then it happened. Probably last saw it like 25 years ago. It's a nice touch though.
No, Pinky wasn't in this episode. This episode came out in Sept. of 1975. Pinky's 3 part episode came out in Sept. 1976. I believe that Mrs. Cunniham gave Fonzie the scarf and I think she also put it on him. I also believe that the Pinky character was to have a reoccuring role in the series but the actress Roz Kelly and the producers couldn't come to terms concerning a contract. Pinky was a popular character amoung Happy Days fans.
Where in the hell is Pinky in all of this? Didn't she put that scarf around his neck before the jump? This was intense back then... tell me otherwise and watch me shoot a rubberband ito your eye.
i've waited 30 years to see that clip. it was the cliff-hanger in a two-parter. i saw the first part but due to the power cuts in the North East of England in the 70s i never got to see the second part. there was only one kid in my whole class that got to see it as his dad a battery-ran TV, and i had to pay him in sweets to tell me what happened.
This show aired on Setember 23 1975 and September 30th 1975. They talked about 13 cans being unlucky and Fonzie would jump 14 cans. At that time Evel had missed 13 buses in England and jumped 14 buses in October of that year after this showed aired.
The host of the show "You wanted to see it" was Jack Smith who hosted the real show "You asked for it" Jack passed away last year at the age of 92.
I remember reading the TV Guide for part two of this show and it said Fonzie recovers in the hospital. In part one they freeze it as he goes across. I thought he was going to miss the jump but he did make it only to crash into a chicken stand. Very smart writing.
They had the Jumpsuit on a PBS auction here in Maine a few years back. I don't know who did the jump for Winkler but look at the handlebars as he takes off. It was not the same motorcycle Fonzie used. Looks more like a dirt bike.
@beasst94 actually it isnt, this is a triumph either 500 or 600 cc....or a custom bsa....hard to tell....Evel rode Triumphs and laverdas very earily like the ceasres palace jump, after taht he road harley 750s.....now in the early episodes of happy days fonzz rode harleys...but at this stage in the seires it was uk bikes triumphs or bsa
