Coach: That's terrific that your hard work has aided 11 of your athletes in 10 years. Were there any kids in the past 10 years who could have played at the next level that didn't receive a scholarship? I hear no one trying to take the HS coach out of the equation. You help develop players. You provide great references. If you listen to Coach Chmiel at the end of the video, he's only encouraging student-athletes to work more closely with the HS coach. No BS here :-)
BS. I'm a high school coach who has gotten athletic scholarhips for 11 athletes in the past ten years into D-1, (3), D-2 (3), D-3 (1), NAIA (1) and NJCAA (3) colleges. NCSA may perform a service for athletes whose coaches don't do the legwork, but remember that it's out to make a profit and I don't appreciate that it wants to take the coaches out of the picture.
My son Leighton Freeze wants to play college sports but we were unsure if being just a Freshman was to early to inquire. Coach Chmiel gave us some valuable info about the process - Thanks Coach Chmiel & NCSA!!!
takkle primetime is an amazing show and these two guys are very smart, few athletes understand the idea of reliable third party recruiting sources like NCSA
Coaches Chmiel and Taylor really know what they are talking about. I went through the oprocess and they are completely right. You need to be flexible and stay on your toes through college recruiting. NCSA is a great resource.
