I have just received 51 oil pastels as a gift, and I was so inspired by your little video... but I wanted to ask, as I have never used this medium before, or Acrylics for that matter....
I assume that you lay the base Acrylic down on your canvas, then allow that to dry before proceeding with the Oil Pastels?

yes, the background was done in acrylic paint first, then pastels were used when it dried.
