hey grimmgreen, don't know if you solved the problem, probly you don't care anymore cause you know, long time ago, but what I did is postin several its (lol) inside until it fits. vape on. :) great vids u do. totally like
Quick question??? anybody know what the shelf life of juice is?? I've had some in the boneyard for over 8 months and it seems they have got dark and thick and not tasting too good....
grimmgreen my man! I recently purchased a V3.1 from puresmoker and im lovin this damn thing. This video was the deciding factor in my choice of PV mod and Im more than satisfied with it. I think what your doing for the e-cig community is fantastic, your videos give in-depth insight and real world application to multiple devices, sick! I recently purchased a GGTS my question to is do u know of a bulk supplier of high res atty's or atty's that you like the best? I need a good atty supplier. Thanks
@TheNewLushLife oh very cool man! so i have been buying my attys from valuevapor(dot)com , they carry the SLB high res attys, i usually buy the regular resistance from them and the work rad. I know that Ikenvape also carries the high res attys
Hey grimm I just got my V3 in the mail, but I'm pretty pissed. I ordered the 510 adapter with 4 medium resistance atomizers, and I've already burned through 2 of them. I shit you not I killed one within the first 30 minutes of use. What should I do. I know I can't get the money back, but do you think I should switch to the high resistance?
I was having that same issue on my V2, turns out, i was over tightening the attys. You want to screw them in just until you feel the slightest resistance, then give 1/4 turn more, any more that that and you can short em out. Also, I use the high resistance 510's and adore them. Don't know if the tightening issue is your problem, but it can't hurt to try, the V2 is amazing and I'll soon be getting a V3. Hate to see someone having problems with their's, hope this helps though.
Hey GrimmGreen, thanks for all your videos. Been vaping for awhile and just found your site, GOOD JOB on the videos and reviews. This site will help me in deciding on purchasing another for my collection. Bye the way, you also have a wonderful personality, and a little comedic, at least to me, in a good way of course. That "Let me take a toot here" and then you forgot to put some juice in and take a big vape, well lets just say I've watched that a few times........:) Yes juice is GOOD.....:)
OK Grimm. Over 2 weeks I watched all your vids and need to know what your hands down favorite 6 volt vaper is. Im buyin my first 6 v and torn to get the bb. Can I vape that safely or not at 6 volts and 3.7? Should I get a different 6 volt vaper? Does it make sense to buy the extended bottom for the bb vs the starter kit. They say on their site, it will accomodate 6 v vaping????? I need portability vs a bazooka. WTF!!! Im so sick of going through the forums. Im to indecisive. Help me out man.
@johndumitriu you can vape at 6v with the BB , just not very safely. i try to avoid it. Something like the Omega or the SilverBullet are much safer IMO
what happened to the protege and the v2?!?! ive been gone from the vaping world for several months(fell back into analogs) puresmoker it different and they're gone. (well the v2 i understand i guess cuz of the v3)
The Prodigy V2 was garbage! It's just that simple. Drop it the wrong way one time and you're done!
A "good" vaping experience should not be warm. There should be only a slight difference in temperature form the intake air.
This model looks wore than the V2 IMO. Loose batteries? WTF? GrimmGreen is not an objective source for reviews, as he makes friends with the manufactures, and then doesn't want to offend them... Not good
The best 2 mods out there are the Super -T, and the TW "Screwdriver".
@jcoopercam sorry you feel that way. my V2 has worked awesome since day 1 and is still kicking ass even though it's been dropped plenty of times. The V3 is even better, I feel that a good vaping experience should have warm vapor, if you don't want that experience, then stick with a 3.7v device.
I also have a Screwdriver and it's awesome. Say what you want, but my loyalties lay with the viewer and NOT the vendors. If something is crap, it's crap, and if something is good, it's good.
@GrimmGreen How can you say that the V3 is a good PV? It sounds like a freaking maraca! There's no excuse for batteries banging around in the hilt. It's known that you are good friends with Puresmoker - so your review was compromised before it ever began. "...jiggling batteries..." LOL!
The Prodigy V2 was even admitted to have multiple problems from the beginning. The V2 was just release less than 6 months ago - now we have to "V3"?
@jcoopercam it sounds like a maraca if you shake it yes, i got a medium weight spring and the "maraca" sound went away. The reason they shake to begin with is because the V3 was designed to accomidate RCR123a batteries AND an AW17670 battery. I love my V3 and a lot of other people do as well. i'm ok with you not liking it. thats fine.
I'm not going to give a good PV a bad review just to prove i'm not friends with someone. I think by now i have proven myself to be un-biased.
@GrimmGreen Your website is plastered with Puresmoker ads. I purchased a V@, and it had nothing but problems... The 510 adapter at the top became loose after one drop... Butterfingers! LOL! I've dropped my TW Screwdriver multiple times, and she's running as good as new. I've only dropped my Super-T twice (double butterfingers!), and it's also running as good as new! maybe the bottom switch will help?
I'll bet my 1982 BC Rich "Bich" that the P3 will be just as unreliable as the V2.
@jcoopercam i know you're wrong because my site has ZERO ads for anyone. I't unfortunate that you had V2 issues. i know a lot of people did, i had no problems with my V2 and still don't. The V3 worked right away , and is still going awesome.
how about in 6 months i do another follow up with the V3, then we can both see how long it will last.
@jcoopercam Well, it would not have bothered me so much if Puresmoker wouldn't have tried to avoid me - but they did! I had to file a chargeback with my credit card company, and it was only then that PS agreed to my request for a refund.
They may not be actual "ads" for PS (my bad). I know you pride yourself on being the one who designed they "V3" logo... It looks way better than that stupid looking leaf thing of the V3. No doubt about it. I will say that you tend to "lobby" for PS...
@mo654331 i'm not really sure. if you go over the pure-smokers(dot)com forum , Steve has a thread on how to clean your switch. Because it's a mechanical switch like the GG or the xHaler i will need to be cleaned periodically to keep it working a full capacity.
really happy they went bottom switch - the side switch was causing way too may problems regardless of v1 or v2. mako/GGT lock looks awesome, i may recommend this to a vaper looking to go from standard to HV; do you have healthcabin KR adapters? curious to know if the adapter will fit with that juice pooling design
@phee303 YO PHEE! so i don't have the exact adapters from healthcabin , but every adapter i have tried works perfect. and yeah... the bottom switch on this might be the best i have used so far in vaping.
Really looking forward to the follow up on this one, aside from the rattly batteries it looks a quality bit of kit. Hope you managed to sort out the "real life" stuff and good to see you back dude.
one more question i got the rcr123a 3v 750mah tenergy batteries i got a deal on 2 batteries and a charger and a car charger. Will that last me all day. Or do you think i should have got the 900 mah.Im just trying to figure out what i should have got. Im still learning.
@092275erik you should be good with those dude, most of the time the MAH rating on the batteries is exaggerated anyway. 900mah is not usually 900mah if you know what i mean.
I was so excited to see this review up!! its just awesome as always!!! makes me really want to get a V3 after i get my VP Passthru..but ill wait til u do a follow up review...also I really like the word toot..its what im going to call it when talking a hit!!
from the info I've seen on it, 6 volt is the only high volt option availble on it, I was interested in it until I found out it won't do 5 volt, think I want to stay away from 6 volt
@xxhammondeggerxx Just a regular 510 atty running at 6v, always a nice vape. Same camera , but i did have the blinds open, the natural sunlight helps out a lot lol
The batteries don't rattle much at all with the stronger spring. Most of the time they don't rattle at all. Hopefully PS will start to ship with both springs.

@GrimmGreen a fanboy probably wouldn't have mentioned the rattling batteries. :)
I have tried 510 cartos from a few vendors and so far, the liquidexpress ones have been the best by far. Problem is that they are $10 for 5 blanks. Have you found others that work as well, but cost less?
o ya... I for got to ask you I ordered the base kit do you know what comes with that. The other kit was ex 35 dollers. I want the 6 volts and im hopeing that comes with the base kit.
@GrimmGreen Having listened to all of Vaporcast I think you will find they got the incorrect term Toot from you. So what is wrong with using the correct terminology? Or at least come up with a totally new word, or one that means to suck. But if you are happy using a word that is more commonly used to describe a small fart the Toot on. lol
awesome as always sir. ordered mine on saturday...even though of course i didn't need another PV...but hey, it's only money right? plus with the AW 17670 batteries i can use it at 3.7v with LR, so that rocks.
You know, I feel like it's hitting higher than 5v as well. Also, I moved an atty from my V1 Prodigy to the V3 (works great), then moved it back to the V1... won't work on the V1 anymore, but works fine on the V3. Haven't tried it with another atty yet, so it may be a fluke. (regular Joye510 atty). Nice video! <3 fresca :)
Nice video! TIps: Stretch out the spring! It makes you able to sit it down without firing and keeps the battery wiggle to a minimum! Also yes it is 6ish volts. And media blasted finish is where you put something in an enclosure or other controllable environment and blast the piss out of it with a form of media such as sand... Thus the name :D
Hey grimm! thats a nice sexy PV that looks like it performs really well. And I want one lol. As always another great review from the greatest reviewer or all time!!!! lol keep up the good work. And I hope your rough patch is getting better by the way. =) :) ;}
Great review Grimm! The only thing that bugs me is that there's so many little pieces... and I find the fact that replacement parts are put up for sale at the same time as the device a little suspect. I've just heard too much about unreliability with the puresmoker PV's. Aren't these devices supposed to be, I dunno... more simplistic and user friendly without having to get an electrical engineering degree to operate the thing?
Great job, I love your reviews and that is a very nice looking device. I think I would have to go to the thicker spring if it stops the batts from jiggling. I love the bottom locking switch :-)
@Inquisitorj i actually FINALLY got my Mako working , it's a little powerhouse. The V3 uses protected batteries, and the Mako uses CR2 unprotected batteries so there is a bit more risk involved. Should have a Mako review up soon.
@GrimmGreen Really looking forward to that! I have a friend that I introduced to vaping and now he and is GF are totally off of analogs! He has been asking what they should get for their first mod, so I really anted to see your impressions of both the mako and V3 before making a recommendation.
hey I ordered it on friday. It is my first device. I been vaping for about 6 weeks I have a vaporking passthrough for about 20 bucks. It is 6 volts curtis said it on his video. thanks again erik.
Glad your back at the vids. Each one gets a little more polished. Love the font on your text overlay on the closeups. Also, I must admit that I am hoping to see a review of the double barreled pv you hinted at before. :) Thanks for your support of the community. As a solo vaping hobbyist amongst my friends, your vids are nice way to stay connected to the community. Take care.
Thinking if you take the battery spring and stretch it out, it may keep the batteries locked in place. May be able to do the same with the last coil make it bigger so it won't fall out.
Hey Grimm, I was dying to see this review! Thanks for doing it. I read on the PS Forum that if you stretch the spring to twice its length, it helps with batteries being loose problem. Also, the thicker spring should take or that completely. I hear it's really nice at 3.7V with AW 17670 protected battery and LR atty. Could you include that in your follow-up review? Thanks.
@love2vape yeah i did stretch my spring out a bit and it didn't seem to help to much, i might have to grab one of the "stiff" springs for the followup.

@GrimmGreen Really looking forward to that! I have a friend that I introduced to vaping and now he and is GF are totally off of analogs! He has been asking what they should get for their first mod, so I really anted to see your impressions of both the mako and V3 before making a recommendation.

Great review as always, this looks a nice mod and the locking button is a great idea.look forward to follow up
