Population control would be a great way to solve the problem, but would you like to be one of the 3-4 billion people that need to be removed in order to bring back balance to our available resources vs resource consumption? While the commentary was decent, it is left incomplete, bringing up problems that everyone knows about only serves to instill fear, which can be a good motivator in some cases, but creating fear with these problems will only serve to instill despair.

You list possible problems for perceived causes but you fail to provide any concrete data for these problems and you also fail to offer any solutions. I will give you the benefit of the doubt as it is pretty common knowledge that these problems exist. So what of solutions? We obviously can't stop, there are just way too many people to do so and with third world countries modernizing these problems will be compounded. Synthetic material is finite as well and is in it's own right very dangerous.
