  • Wicked! I've got the Cyclic Amp EP :-)

  • @WeHaveExplosive I mean the Concrete Island EP. D'oh.

  • Excellent band!!

  • Outstanding! I've got the "Complete Recordings" tape with "People.." and "Ugly.." on it and I reckon both albums are ace. Nice to see other people appreciate this stuff too.

  • Please, upload "The River" :)

  • WoW. I have 3 Cyclic Amp's Vynil. I buy items when I was 15 years old , but I had not any notice about this band.

    Thanks:)

  • simply amazing. i have collect your vinyls in the early '90, still love 'em. thank you for your music!

  • I have a vinyl copy of this album at my ma's house in Italy.

Great atmosphere, sound and samples (what was the owl-like sample on (i think) 'ugly thoughts'?).

I remember gointo the shop where I bought it and wanting a replacement as my copy would skip some grooves in a couple tracks. They didn't replace it, so I had to listen keeping the turntable head pressed on the vinyl. :)

Good old vinyl times, it was all sexier

  • Thankyou for your comment, have you had a look at our myspace page, its got some of the old tunes and two new ones, let me know what you think, thanks again, Jan (bass player Cyclic Amp) and about the samples on Ugly Thoughts they came from the sixities tv show the saint, part of the theme tune, thanks again, Jan, oh by the way who are you?

  • I'm someone who's going to your myspace page and asking you a friend request there ;)

  • Hi Jan

did you do tea & sympathy (or something like that) or was that an earlier incarnation with John Jones in?

  • Hello, yes it could have been an early incarnation of Cyclic Amp, was it on tape, because they produced loads in the early 80's, have you had a look at the Cyclic amp myspace page it may be worth a look, by the way who are you? Jan

  • Sorry, I'm Andy Mc who used to go out with Kaz in the early to late eighties. My brother, Martin went out with Paddy Coliis's sister for a while. Kaz and I had a couple of jams with you in about 84 i think. I have a couple of recordings from them that i could blackmail you with :).

Re Tea&Symp - it was on tape and i remember now that it was J Jones at the time. I've just re-connected with him thru myspace after too many years.

Great to see you're still out there Jan - all the best, Andy

  • Hello Andy of course I remember you, I often think about you and Kaz and the jams we used to have, I have one of the recordings too, are you on facebook, if you are look me up and we can have a proper chat, I have just sent John Paul a message, but I have not seen Paddy for 20 years, I live in Derbyshire now so i'm not in Liverpool very often, anyway lovely to hear from you, speak to you again, Jan.

ps, is Kaz still around and are you still in contact, let me know, look after your self, Jan.

  • Tremendous. I was just thinking about this the other day! People of the Book is a tremendous record - I just love Dead Cop. Totally underrated band...

  • Thankyou for your comment, have you had a look at our myspace page, its got some of the old tunes and two new ones, let me know what you think, thanks again, Jan (bass player Cyclic Amp)

  • 'kin awesome. My vinyl (Ugly as Power & People of the Book) is knackered. Any idea where I can download? Cheers

  • This is a truly great song, and needs more internet publicity, keep posting music by Cyclic Amp!

  • Great
