Ok, i own a Macbook from 2007 that i upgraded completely. I just wanted to say that most of this video is horribly incorrect. The Mac does get viruses! This week alone i have gotten 3 trojans and 5 viruses from torrenting. Though all i had to do was set my virus scanner to automatically quarantine them so no harm done. Also Macs do freeze, It is an almost daily occurrence for me as i use mine for video editing. (Btw macs suck for video editing!)

By marketshare I mean number of users. And yes It would be nice to take credit for the first Mac virus. But... due to the small population it would not spread that fast and would probably be caught before it could infect more than 5 computers. In addition to that, many Mac users download applications directly from Apple, making it for us to distribute the Virus. I suppose if we could forward the Virus to only Mac users it could work... I'm gonna try it on my hackintosh.

To Clarify:

Unix is in fact inherently safer from viruses but by no means is it impossible to get one on it.

Once a Mac is booted into Windows it is just like all other windows computers, susceptible to viruses. If a Mac running Windows does get a virus, it WILL NOT spread to the Mac side since the HDD is Partitioned and the virus was written for windows.

Hell, even if you Download a Windows Virus on Mac OS X the virus won't run since it's the same as a windows program, unusable on a mac.

#2 I don't own one myself, but my friend owns a Macbook with OSX Leopard. He's only had it about a month, but it freezes fairly regularly.
