  • Hello from West Sussex, England Your blog and this video help influence us into building ours! We've only just started flying it with good results but now winter is almost upon us, am thinking about getting a foam wing for those windy days!

  • I made one of these and had a friend tell me it would never fly and believed him. I parted it out and didnt think about it until today, so as far as memories go thanks for this video so I can seeit fly. Build one, each plane is characteristic of our personality and unique to each person.

  • didnt bring back any memories 4 me...

  • I had a sad old Gentle lady

serch my name or "The Violent Death of a Gentle Lady 2009" if you wanna laugh

    cheers

  • my first sailplane is like urs....greetings from the philippines....tons of mimories we back on the 90s

  • Hey thanks for sharing the video! Good looking color scheme/covering job and very glad to see you have your Family involved too!

I too have a Gentle Lady that I sometimes take along to fly along the slopes of Sunset State Beach......I knew by the way she was washing the second you tossed her off you weren't in great lift.......

    Thanks and many Happy Landings!

  • cool my dad made that plane but he uses a huge rubber band to launch it

  • Nice!

    Brings back great memories.

How do you like the 2.4 radio and which one are you using?

    Thanks for sharing your vids.

    Paul

  • THANKS. It's the Futaba 6EX FASST (Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology). I like it.

  • Thanks!

I suffer from range anxiety living out here I can send my planes out pretty far.

Far enough to have 72mhz give up.

Also, I looked up tail number N3089N.

    "N3089N Nonfatal" ???

    Merry Christmas.

    Thanks again for your input.

I just ordered the very same radio. :^)

    Paul

  • You'll enjoy the radio. Keep the antenna 90°, NOT straight up. The fellow I sold N3089N to flipped it on its back. :(

  • That's 90 in the horizontal plane I assume?

    Thanks again.

  • nice videos, do you have plans for this model? I like to build from scratch and this model sure looks like somthing I would like to make.

  • Thanks. The plans with the kit are good for assembly, but unfortunately they do not show the ribs and other parts that are pre-cut.
