I agree. I would not call this animation, but nice performance art. Stuart Blackman was doing this kind of work on a chalkboard over a hundred years ago. They were called "lightening sketches" Then one day he began to photograph each drawing on the board sequentially. Animation was born. See "Humorous Phases of Funny Faces" 1906.
Interesting. Not really what I would called animation, but definitely art. Reminds me of a movie I saw showing Picasso paint live by filming the back of the canvas (he was using inks that bled through) and then reversing the image to see it as he did.
It's been a one year and I keep coming back to watch this over and over again. This art form is so beautiful and inspirational. I love it.
