Apply a bit of good Olive oil to your fingernails every night before going to bed. Really rub it in. No, it won't feel greasy. Your skin and nails will soak it up like water in a sponge. The Olive oil will help strengthen nails and give them some flexibility so they won't be brittle and break so easy. Just don't use any oil before applying the glue spot for the Rico nail! hehe
why is there someone trolling this video?I think these nails are great, and quite frankly and going to buy these rather than keep my nails long and have those looks when i pay for something haha
They've save my butt a couple of times. Specially for the thumb - I get used to it very quickly. It's great to have a set all prepared. I could see someone getting used to using it all the time.
I am sure that this video is beneficial to those who play the guitar. But it seems to me to have been inappropriately placed in a Classical Guitar group, which is for people who want to listen to classical guitar music and not learn how to wear fake nails. Moreover, this video should be in another place. Thank you. Tammy from Texas
As a classical guitar player who has needed a quick nail repair every now and then, I don't mind finding this video here at all. I haven't tried this particular system, but it looks like it could be really useful...much quicker than a silk wrap.
"Finally a non-toxic, healthy answer to fingernail foibles. I have just returned from playing three concerts with a RICONAIL thumb nail. What is not so healthy is while I was removing the RICONAIL, I could swear I heard it say: I sound pretty great, you better not lose me!"
Comment: A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Rico Stover telling me that Sharon Isbin had used RICONAILS to get through a Concierto de Aranjuez concert performance because she had broken a nail the day before. Randy Osborne, FFSI.
Here's some professional reflection on the use of RICONAILS:
"The RICONAILS system works great. I recommend it to all guitarists."
Jorge Morel
"Rico Stover's Emergency Nail Kit offers the perfect solution to breaks that require a safe, secure and instant replacement, without any risk of damage to the remaining nail. Bravo, Rico, for offering this innovative approach and excellent product!"

Does anyone recommend these fake nails for someone who may need them all the time since his nails are weak brittle, thin, and break easily? Thanks.

@orestesdd Are you getting your vitamins and plenty of water. I used to have the same problem.

Nice idea, but they don't feel natural, and there's no tone.
Nice try though.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Guitar must be the only instrument which actually requires a biological change in order to play.
