I first heard The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem at Gurdes Folk City in NYC in the early 1960s. They really made that little club rock with their Irish songs. But eventually they chose other venues. They didn't like the rather primitive sound system in that little club on Fourth Street.
@UnidosHermanos , the 2 flags were raised on the GPO corners by bulfin , the south corner was the green irish republic flag , the north corner was the tricolour , both corners were on sackville st , they didn't fly the starry plough , remember , easter monday was the day when the all republicans united , and without unity easter monday would never have happened , so now again today we need to unite ALL REPUBLICANS , learn from our past ,PLEASE ,T A L
Another quality video from TomBarry the you tube source of some of the best republican videos on the web, another top marks rating Tom, TIOCFAIDH AR LA!!!
last words is worth a look, letters and statements of the leaders wrote in arbour hill and kilmainham jail, eamonn ceannt statement is the best i think 7 may 1916,u will get none braver
these were the greatest generation of Irish men and women may they never be forgotten and to the baladeers who wrote and sang these songs thanks for keeping alive in our hearts and minds the sacrifices they made.
yep, and that was the beginning of the end of the so called british empire, or rather colonies , ants have colonies, except they have brains too...they will survive the rest wont, thank God, great vid thanks.

This is absolutely fantastic! I wish I was at that concert. I love how they incorporate Yeats poem into there.
