First and foremost, I loved the reviews. They were equal parts funny, thoughtful, and honest. But now to the main reason why I'm posting here.
Flame Hyenard is the biggest asshole to ever exist. If I were to meet him, there would be no force, godly or otherwise, that would spare him from the absolute wrath I would bestow upon him. I haven't seen anything else or even played that game (I won't even refer to it by its name anymore), but now I have every reason not to. Thank you HideofBeast.
I want X back, i was sad when he dies in MMZII i wanted to see how powerful he was, i wanted to see X humiliating Omega Zero's ass, bu oh well, no one would be as mighty as X was ever in any Megaman game i guess :/
and fucking save the world with his life on the line. I thought that was awesome, and I felt so much for Ciel. This just didn't make ZX the same for me. I wanted Zero back. Even if the characters had beliefs similar to Zero's, they just simply weren't him. Even ZX stands up higher than the Zero games, in my opinion, it can't top Zero's badassery as a whole. The series means so much to me, as badly as X1 I can easily say.
In the end, sorry for the rant. I'm writing from a mobile device so the c
a streak of kills for eight bosses in a single Megaman game had never felt more exhilarating to me on my first run. Then there was the final battle with Weil. Again, Zero is challenged to prove himself a hero. The final words before the battle come up, and after so many battles, Zero finally voices out battle, not a single ounce of that belief had dissipated. He would tell Weil that he never called himself a hero, and that he only fought for his beliefs. He was gonna kick Weil's ass either way,

As much as I can forget MMZero4, it simply won't work. The pushover difficulty aside, this game defined my love for Zero as a character. There's just something amazing about the story. The bosses looked down on Zero and clearly he was up against a big threat. Even so, Zero remained cool and under control, regardless of the jeers. The bosses talked so much about his heroism and its unjustified cause, questioning those he protected. Everything boiled down to taking them out one by one, and having
Interesting perspective on the MM games. However, you have now missed a game. ( you certainly didn't miss one originally, heh) I must ask, what do you think of Mega Man 10?
What I hate about Megaman Zero is how they place bosses. Some bosses just don't belong in some places. For example, the end boss for the first fortress stage should be a mission boss. Megaman Zero 2 did a much better job. The bosses are finally paced where they belong. One of my problems is that the ship boss should be a mission boss, not an intermission boss.
You are a hardcore gamer, man. And you truly define what it takes to be a Mega Man fan, and that's earns my total respect for you. I hope to see your kickass playthroughs in the future. If not, I'm subscribing to you anyways.
Amazing run and interesting commentary; notably for Blaze Heatnix, Ground Scaravich and Metal Shark Player - Whether or not you actually see this comment much less feel the need to respond to it, I must ask the question - how much of your commentary was improvised and how much - if any - was decided upon or written down beforehand?
I also agree with your comment about X3 being overrated.
I love how Flame Hyenard popped up as the first related video upon this ones conclusion.
I typically think out the issues I'm going to address for a segment before I start trying to comment on it, because these challenges are very frantic and I'd ramble without a clear idea of what parts I want to talk about. Anytime I'm giving an opinion in general I obviously think quite a bit on what I'm going to say and how I'll present it. From there, though, I rant. I don't write anything down... frankly that image scares me a little. >_> I do put things through editing though.
generally I am like you, I like the earlier games in a series than later, I agree with mm2 improving over mm1, and mm3 improved over mm2, but there was a bit of a decline after that. then comes 9, which BLEW me out of the water with its sheer awesomeness.
These videos make me wonder how you would handle some of the better doujin MegaMan clones, even though RosenKreuzStilette is the only one I'm aware of that has an X-style character instead of just original-Megaman-style characters.
Also, just so you don't feel alone, I also preferred X5 to X4. Largely because X4 didn't have Dynamo's Theme or Hunter vs. Hunter but there are other reasons.
I hate, hate, hate, hate, abso-fucking-lutely hate Megaman X7. One of the absolute worst games I ever played, horrid, unforgivable entry in the series that should never have happened. I went into this game with high expectations, but found no love to be had in this game at all. X7 is the one game in the series I truely despise, and I mean I really despise this game.
what a journey. I laughed, I cried, I raged. but battle network is amazing.

I started watching at X1 for the gameplay. I ended this one for the commentary. Not sure which is more entertaining yet.

Considering what you said in this video and the last video, I wonder where you place Mega Man 10 on your list.

Do you think it would be possible to do a no-damage run like this with Zero in this game?
Or would that just be impossible?
