  • I could never discuss music with Anthony. He just knows so friggen much.

  • Its pretty good for a free album. And YOU my friend just got a subscriber!

  • haven't stopped listening to this since i downloaded it

  • Album sucks.

  • Review Under The Influence by Domo Genesis

  • I really liked LiveLoveA$AP. Yes the production was incredible but I also thought Rocky brought forth a real gangster tip in NY Hip Hop not heard in a while. Rocky comes off as a true thug and the LP for me is great.

  • live love a$ap is just a great combination of the beats especially clams casino. Also asap's personal style which is like a combo of southern rap mixed with bone thugs.

  • rocky, purrp, and lil b are all dope. suck a dick swag swag

  • Dudeee, ASAP Ferg kills it on Kissin Pink!

  • Ayy Anthony I reeeealllyy want you to review some Clams Casino stuff, like maybe that instumental tape he put out or something.

i think that clams is killing it and i would love you hear what you have to say since you are so knowledgable about music and hip hop.

  • REQUEST FOR REVIEW: Untitled EP by Hodgy Beats, check it out on Datpiff!

  • Check out A$AP Ferg!

  • right, reviewing ASAP wearing an mogwai shirt

  • I AM STILL BLASTING THIS>

  • The way you talked about his lyricism made me think you'd give him less than an 8, unless you put production in higher esteem

  • As far as Harlem goes. The only 3 relevant emcees reppin Harlem so far is A$AP Rocky, Vado, & Charles Hamilton. Out of all 3... I'm a bigger fan Charles Hamilton.

Sure he's insane. But he makes great music. I hope he gets better so he can start making more music. But if making music is part of his problem, I can deal.

  • Its whatever it doesn't blow me away.

  • holy fucking shit 8/10 that's almost a perfect anthony-judgment

  • men fuck u jackass get ur info right b4 u start talking smack on others for one he not from new york Harlem and asap is the biggest movement men i wish i can see i wold beat u to fucking death !!!

  • @4407474 lol dude get a life. nobody is scared of you

  • @swagman98 I completely agree

  • A$vp

  • anthony you should grow that mustache out

  • You should review Earl Sweatshirts mixtape Earl

  • @swagman98 he did

  • whats the song on the right behind him?

  • best tape I've ever heard.

  • as always good review Antony!! feel the same about this tape. My favs are Purple Swag & Get Lit. It's kinda funny cause usually I DONT LISTEN to this kind of music.. but there is something with this tape that makes me feel highhhhh

  • You rock. period.

  • "how hes a pretty muthafucka" Gif moment

  • @UrJustaSpeedBump if u listen to it screwed fergs verse is a little more tolerable

    It still sucks

  • Actually sat thru all this shit...

Good Shit BRO, He is Wack..

  • why do you have a cappuccino stain above your mouth?

  • 'THERES SOME TUFF GUY SHIT'<LMAO

  • i like how you perceive music. i felt the same way about this album.

  • dude, kissing pink was one of my favorite on the album, and it was because of fergs flow that i liked it so much

  • kissing pink is my favorite track on this album. when i first heard the beat i already knew it was going right back on replay. then i heard fergs verse and i thought it sucked. but after really analyzing the song it hit me, fergs verse makes the song. something like an acquired taste, the beat gives you the feeling and the words are the taste. "are you in it for the feeling or the taste?

  • please shave

  • I agree about the features!!!! lol

  • stopped watching after he said smoke diza >.<

  • you have to ALREADY know and like ferg to like and appreciate his verse on kissin pink lol - i felt like that at first until i really listened to ferg and THEN i ended up lovin his verse now

  • I personally love this album. I would give it a 10. A 90's feel to Rocky. I think he is great and could go down as one of the best rappers ever

  • next do kelow's Color Pencils

  • Jay Reatard in the back :)

  • Do you get paid for this ? @theneedledrop

  • you hit it on the head bruh

  • OMG asap ferg made kissin pink, for meee; his carefree flow was lyrical syrup

  • Clams Casino is the one who makes the album..

  • @Helsinkisillest Beatiful lou and Dj BurnOne had Nice Beats on here but yea Clams FTw

  • "puts you into the high" You are not lying! Lol i don't want anything to do with weed but I feel like I'm in a smoked out room listening to Rocky. However I've become a big fan of this mixtape recently because of his flow and the beats...I never look to rapper for their lyrics...I read books.

And yea Clams Casino DID those beats!! You my sir have just earned a new subscriber..I love the in-depth review!

  • "Feel good party raps." - this white guy.

  • Is it ok to listen to a rap album just for the beats?

  • Great review, nail on the vibes the ablum gives, never smoked but feel like i did when listening to it, impressive and so different, he is not a lyric master, but has a great vibe and flow, remind me of ez-e

  • i don't always agree with you, but i think you nailed this one. even though i don't always agree though, i like to watch your vids to check out new artists and i like that you have your own opinions and you don't give a fuck if we care or not, and you're like the most musically knowledgable guy i've ever seen/heard of (aside from probably ?uestlove) so i have a lot of respect

  • I love u, u review albums with class and knowledge...and that is SEXY!

  • u should do a review on the mixtape for Kirko Bangz - the progression 2 a young texas playa

  • I've figured it out.

This whole album tells a tragic story.

Listen to it from beginning to end, very very carefully.

  • @AsapNation39 he's actually not from Texas dumbass.

  • I agree with you the beats make this mix tape. I don't really read into the lyrics I think he wants you to listen to the beats. Leaf is so beautiful the chords and singing in the background is crazy. Also the almost gregorian chant sound of Palace is great. Those are my 2 favorites for sure. I like it a lot. And i think that if people are expecting some crazy bars look elsewhere.

  • this dude cant review for ish! A$AP is clearly better then how you describe he is. do you actually listen to music or do u jus skim through it?! dumass!

  • @husler60

They listen to thirty second samples

  • MOGWAI

  • THIS ALBUM IS THE BEST ALBUM IVE EVER HEARD....... THIS YEAR.. HES A BLACK HIPPY ON A SKATE BOARD WITH A BUSINESS MIND LIKE MASTER P......STAY UP ROCKY

  • Pretty much hit the nail on the head.

  • good review, but i don't think he gives rocky enough credit

  • @GodBlessCantona Ya I was thinking the same.

  • Comment removed

  • Puuurple Swaug

  • I'm so glad that he said that A$AP Rocky's song "Bass" was one of the best hip hop beats he heard in a while, because I COMPLETELY agree. He really made a lot of sense in this review in my eyes.

  • LEEEX LUGER!

  • It's Funny you say he doesn't sound like a New York Rapper because he's actually From Texas but as of now he lives in Harlem New york. Just Sayin'

  • @AsapNation39 he was born in new york he lived in texas before tho

  • @SNAPBACKxKICKS

he mos def was born n raised in harlem...where u get ya info from gz?

  • @shaedaghost lots of research

  • @AsapNation39

    hes not from Texas.

  • Did you do "Domo Genesis-Rolling Papers"? You should...

  • Dude I fuckin love this guy. I literally couldn't have explained LiveLoveA$AP better. One long drug enduced coma brought on by weed and cough syrup. I'm subscribing.

  • another good review, I like how this guy articulates.

  • @ryanpalmer19 Agreed. The dude had me at "MOGWAI" haha

  • god i hate you. please stop jamming up my search engines with your ugly retard face... good review or not.... shut up!

  • You sir, got this 100% correct. Subscribing for sure.

  • Pretty motherfucker, Harlem's what I'm reppin. Tell em quit the bitchin we gon make it in a second.

  • The way he said Purple Swag just made me think, "dude, you are such a nerd.."

But this review really hit the nail on the head pretty much.

  • This nigga hit it right on the nose O_o guess i doubted him too much

  • I disagree with his assessment of a strong 7 or light 8. Good album, but I would place it as a 5 out of 10. Strong beats, weak lyricism.

  • that same track leaf is on main atrackionz 808s and dark grapes its called take 1.

  • his production > his lyrics is what kept me listening because his lyrics were too repetitive from top to bottom

  • @jfraz1992

I agree. I think a$ap lacks lyrics, but that's not why I listen to him. I listen to him when I want to chill. His mellow beats and laid back vocals make that pretty easy.

  • @jjjkkk999 lol indeed

  • @toonicekrewskateteam he did already

  • 8 for the beats alone. The production on this mixtape is fantastic.

  • I thought it was sick. Hipsters wanna be trill now and trill people wanna be hipsters.

  • Yessssss finally you Fucking give a good rapper a good review

  • Schoolboy q's biggie, nas, and 50 line is one of the best on here

  • He should be signed with MMG WELL. THAT'S IN MY OPINION

  • WOW! yo son..you hit the nail on the head with this review..this mixtapes is better than most albums that have come out lately and the song "Get Lit" puts me at a high like no other..props to you on this review!

  • This is exactly the way i feel about this album!

  • Kissin pink is one of my fav tracks!

  • Whether You Reviewed This Good Or Bad This Album Is Too Trill For You

  • This was a perfect review! I agree 100 percent with the part about putting you in the High. Which is why I listen to this when I'm High, Thumbs up If you listen to ASAP Rocky when your high!

  • and yes i love it. asap asap

  • Great future rap, kissin pink is the best track on the mix ferg is silly and loose.

  • You have a lot of experience with reviews :) true he is repetitive but his voice and the atmosphere that's created with the beats gets me high...and I'm not smoking or sipping lol

  • best mixtape of 2011, and A$AP rocky aint lyrical but his rhymes are catchy for sure

  • Comment removed

  • Well I havent heard his Album, because he doesnt have one yet....its a mixtape bro,but besides that his mixtape Was fuckin dope ass fuck...Every track on that mixtape is fuckin dope.Very different from other rappers that I've heard and Imm stickin with ASAP Rocky

  • I just dont like him as a rapper, but the songs sound really good doe

  • The only bummer thing about this mixtape is definitely Rocky's repetitiveness. Oh, and Acid Drip, god that song blows. I dunno why I dislike it so much.

  • Best mixtape review ever for a white guy

  • Asap rocky said in a song to get off his dick>:O

  • ASHER ROTH- PABST AND JAZZ.

  • If you get a chance, Roc Marciano- Greneberg, Asher Roth- Pabst and Jazz. Some older material, Ras Kass- Soul on Ice, Clipse- Hell Hath No Fury, Pacewon and Mr Green- Only Color That Matters is Green, Cunninlynguists- Dirty Acres.

  • you didn't really mention A$AP's really unique flow and choice of rhymes, he is a much better rapper than you make him out to be.

  • @ThePrestigiousMusic word up..A$AP is very clever with his rhymes yo!

  • sooooooooooooooooo great

  • i cant stop listenin to asap rocky

  • hahaha. asap fern's part in kissing pink is the best. what are u talking about!

  • wow great review!

  • this review is ON POINT everything you said i agree with

  • i like the rap genius link that website it ill

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM WHICH IS A MIXTAPE BUT YO I GIVE THIS SHIT A 10 ALL THE WAY

  • i love this album but in comparison to your other reviews man.. an 8 is pretty high lol

  • u really gave this an 8? damn lol

  • Your review is accurate and fair. I here alot of influences from Lil B because I lisiten to Lil B.

You should review a DOM KENNEDY LP

  • THIS ALBUM SOUNDS LIKE BONE THUGS N HARMONY'S FIRST ALBUM "E 1999 ETERNAL... WHO AGREES.... CHECK IT OUT

  • @FIASCOEBARStv It does have elements of that. Bone Thugs and that whole Midwest scene always had the weirdest rappers.

  • I like "Kissin' Pink" And I actually like Asap Ferg's verse. Its kinda funny.

  • Rocky is the best! hardest mixtape ive heard in a while.

  • LMFAO Bricksquad!!!!!!

  • Has anyone noticed how Anthony never really talks about personal life. i feel like i know nothing about you! just sayin..

  • Honestly this guy is the best reviewers on albums

    keep up the good work

  • Rockys on his own shit . U just listened to the rapper of 2012s first shit

  • ECHOES OF SILENCE, next. Clams Casino even makes an appearance.

  • @leakhead666 No....he was born and raised in Harlem!!!! I think he even may have lived in the Bronx for a brief period if time but I'm not sure....

  • @twigz36

He was born in Harlem, and was raised partially in the Bronx with his grandma.

He even said it in a interview.

  • @AngelBluhh yes he is most def trippen

  • next biggie smalls

  • The singing in kissin pink is actually a direct sample from a Dj Screw song. Here it is at :25 seconds

    watch?v=G4kS-NJ6cq4

  • Straight up such a clean review Anthony. Ya nailed it.

  • this is a Mix tape, and it deserves a 9/10

  • One time my friend was talking about ASAP Rocky and I thought he was talking about Aesop Rock. Awkward moment.

  • please review cities aviv - digital lows!

  • frankly i don't understand how Black & Brown EP and this can have the same rating. One is lyrical genius, the other is great production w/ some very average lyricism. Don't get me wrong I like this mixtape, but Danny is breaking new ground in hip/hop lyrically. This is more party music, while Danny's is infinitely replayable bc of his complex rhyme schemes, alliteration and flow. I still like this tape though.

  • ASAP Rocky is for sure influenced by Lil B, beautiful Lou & Clams Casino were both Lil B's producers.

And Asap Rocky is the type of person you'd wanna bump in your car, or just listen to when you feel like chilling, I know for a fact when im chilling and in a good mood sometimes i dont wanna hear some lyrical/through provoking shit that will change my mood lol....He's cool

  • Wooo once again another great review, I pretty much agreed on everything you said except for the fact that ive been singing asap fergs part over and over loll.

  • asap rocky has the ability to be a good lyricist, the song "toast to the gods" is a good example.. shame it wasnt on the mixtape though... i did enjoy his signing and his use of melodic vocals (bone thugs influence) on kissing pink and demons

  • The first listen through, I found the mixtape to be just okay, but it really grew on me. Yeah, he is not lyrical but his lyrics get the jobs done, and the production on this is pretty good. Overall this is in my top 5 mixtapes this year. I think its 3rd behind ReturnOf4Eva from Big KRIT

  • Honestly, the other rappers, even though they might not be as talented as him, make him at least seem a lot better. Like the Purple Swag Chp. 2, even though SpaceGoast Purp has a nice verse, when Rocky comes in, he kills it. The other rappers really put him on a pedestal. The only rapper personally that is close to his talent is Schoolboy Q and mayb Main Attrak. Its funny though cause the Asap Nas is really dope (his freestly for Pitchfork) but he doesnt bring it out in this mixtape

  • After listening to this, I concluded (IMO)

Lil B when he's trying > ASAP Rocky

Lyrically ASAP is whatever and sometimes he can't really rap, but the beats really do come through. Really, the guy who makes the beats on this album should get some acknowledgement because without him ASAP would be less than a mediocre rapper.

  • @chimchar545 multiple producers, the clams casino beats are the standouts though (wassup, palace, bass, and 2 or 3 others). i thought kissin pink was decent, it would've been bad w/o the beat but the production makes up for the lyrics.

  • RICANstruction!

  • the beats save him, lyricly he is very average

  • @MrMusicdot exactly,Anthony could have just easily said that and that would have been the whole review.

  • Review any copy of S.maharba! like a psychadelic dilla

  • THANK YOU ANTHONY FOR THIS REVIEW..IM HOOK IN ASAP MUSIC
