I cried again. but these were tears of pain. the game was fucking hard. i remember breaking my controller while fighting Abyss. The RTS thing was fun and I wished they included that in SCIV. i remember finding this game and rushing back home to play it. soul calibur 2 was one of the games i played the most on the ps2 and like 6 years later, i found sc3 and as i watched the intro i started remembering all the awesome memories of playing sc2.

the nostalgia, the epicness, the music, the characters... this is my favourite game opening ever.

Soul Calibur III will be my all time favorite compared to four. I have played both but SC IV was lacking in some areas, and I remember having fun playing this game. Too bad I don't have my ps2 anymore, nor this game.

@animecrazy95 Well there were some differences in my opinion that made me like SCIII better, such as Chronicles of the Sword, which was like an alternate game mode where you created your own character and fighting style and being apart of an army. But the first thing noticed was the story mode, I believe in SCIV it's 5 stages, whereas in some cases in SCIII there were more stages or "episodes" in which you were also given choices which only determined which path you took.

@animecrazy95 And Soul Arena had different events that were unlocked after you beat previous ones if I can remember. I especially remember this mode because of Colossus and Night Terror... But basically in my opinion it had more modes and made me replay the game more etc. You can look up gameplay vids or different modes if you want to see the difference. All and all I like both games, but SCIII a little bit more lol.

Ah good old SCIII. Where my now favorite characters Tira and Amy made their appearances. Tira was bad ass and Amy was cool too. I remember I was trying to transition from Ivy (I used her as my main in SC1-II) to Tira. SCIII was definitely a gem in my eyes. I can't say the same for SCIV though.

No characters (compared to SC3's lineup) Practically no good options for single player gameplay, and character creation sucked because you had to unlock all of them through stupid accomplisments!...I don't want to perform an instant KO, dangit....NOT THREE TIMES IN A ROW! Soul Calibur Four thought it was the Bees Knees just for being on a PS3 and putting Star Wars characters in there...Don't they have critics for things like this?

SCIV was only good for it's graphics (Even though I hated how the developers made the character look more anime than nationalic.) I was actually more hooked on playing SCIII more than IV but eh, that's just me. I'm just pissed that they changed some of the character stories in IV like with Taki and Mitsu's big face off in the end of I think Taki's ending in SCIII. it never concluded in SCIV...

@zenix25 I for one saw only one thing that pissed me off, it's Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. Both of the swords look exactly the same except for color swap, and I know that the swords can shape shift into the wielders best fighting weapon. But Soul Calibur is small and sword-like and Soul Edge is more than twice the size of Soul Calibur. Besides that it looks like an OK game, I just hope they remember that fact in SC5

But yeah, she sounds really manly in SC3 and 4, it does sound more intelligent, but SC2 Renee Hewitt voice ftw, it had sounded more realistic, wild, and powerful like Ivy's personality. Overall, Ivy is on my opinion one of the best in the entire Soul Series and by far has the most wicked weapon the gaming community has ever seen... >B)
