  • Reality is that you are Godless MI6 british moron. I am not buying your lies.

  • waw, i think you just started a new religion

  • Have you managed to get an ulcer yet? You come accross at times throughout this video as being exactly as bitter and twisted and MAD (yes mad - it reeks in your flashes of anger) as the religious nuts and organised religions you try to warn us about. Otherwise i love your video!!:) hey at least you had the balls to make a video and say how you feel. Well done. Slap on the back. You are also a good comedian.

  • excellent vid but don't forget...

0:13 it also benefits whatever gov that the clergy works with (christianity in US, islam in the middle east)

5:03 that the sun doesn't demand a 10% tithe every week

  • This man is AMAZING!!!!!! I grew up with a mother who hides her stupidity and ignorance behind her GOD. I ask her simple questions and she cant even answer them without qouting the bible. And when they get too tough for her she tells me to go ask a pastor. Really? Go get indoctrinated like you? No thanks. Id rather be good to people simply because its the right thing to do, not because I'll get a ''cookie'' in the afterlife. Wake up sheep and start thinkin for yourselves.

  • Pat, some day we should take some LSD together... God's mind pops out of the ground in fractal spirals that emanate out of the center of daises..

  • YOU WANT GREEN CARD TO DO ANY IMMORAL THINGS YOU WISH

  • Excellent work again. It's funny how some of the religious folk who look at your videos have no intelligent response. All they can say is things like "this guy has too much time on his hands" or "why is this guy so bitter". It would be interesting to see more of a critical response from the religious but I guess they just don't have anything important to say

  • lol -well that I can agree with, organized religion is scary. but to be frank the story of Jesus also laughs at man's desire of ritual over common sense. organized religion says do not heal during the Sabbath, Jesus said why not morons! (to the priests), organized religion says wash your hands before eating or u'll be unclean, Jesus says, who cares! "its what you say that defiles you not what you eat". If God is out there, man doesn't merit HIM speaking through us, coz we have our own agenda.

  • it's quite interesting that you're so bitter towards something you believe to be a story.

  • this guy has way too much time on his hands

  • You are the most INTELLIGENT no nonsense man i EVER heard you are my god!

you shown what i wanted to be a crhirstian in the first place...thank you

  • And Satan WILL be forgiven even though he did was he was suppposed to do. But he overdid it. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COVER the truth but he crossed the line. Ezekiel 28:12 and forward: ..."You are the anointed cherub that is covering, and I have set you. On the holy mountain of God you proved to be. In the midst of fiery stones you walked about. You were faultless in your ways from the day of your being created until unrighteousness was found in you. ..."

  • And there exists human beings on earth who acts righteous without having any law:

Romans 2:13-16 "For the hearers of law are not the ones righteous before God, but the doers of law will be declared righteous. For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. "

  • Unless you're a vampire.

  • You know, I get why people get so wound up about religion, but approaching religious folk with attitudes like this just makes atheists look like dicks. Why would you treat someone like shit for believing what they believe? Yeah, ok, so you have a lot of assholes with religion and that needs to be addressed, but what about the religious folk out there who aren't going to strap on a bomb and blow themselves up for the lord? That said, i see the place for people like Pat C. so whatever, I guess.

  • @officernarc Mainly because the intolerance and attitude problems are thrown at us first

  • The whole video is fantastic. As others have said, "A HOOT" and oh so true.

  • Mr. Condell that truly was FANTASTIC, thank you!

  • @veronicats100 What exactly was "fantastic" ?

  • @1CaptainNemoful well that he believe in whatever he believe but to behave like an angry clown and trying to insult everyone prove that he have a losing case. if he is making a storng theory he won't build it in insulting others a nd blaming everything to religion which is so rediculous cuz it was always conflicts coming from greedy and stupid men like him. if what you say is true let stnd for itself but in this way you never get audiance but you feul hate

  • and you are spreading love by your angry speachs. you are my favorite angry clown.

  • 'If by god we mean some outsized, light-skinned male, sat upon a fluffy cloud counting the fall of every sparrow, it is clear there is no such god. If however, we mean the sum total of all the laws of physics, it is clear that there is such a god. Such a god is emotionally usatisfying, however, it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity' Carl Sagan

  • what more do u want popcorn?lollll

  • Better a live dog than a dead lion.

Golly, Pat, why would you quote from the same book you despise? Think about this. "The Golden Rule" you ascribe to comes directly from Jesus through a religious education you received somewhere along the span of your life. And what you are railing about is the fact that you know others do not accept it.

The sun is a burning ball of gas. . . kind of like you. Repent. Y'sha (Jesus) sends His love.

    /s

  • 1. God cannot extend forgiveness to the un repentant. Why would the Creator have to forgive a hater like the devil who wants to destroy life, love, peace, and harmony?

    2. Sinners need salvation, that's why @ 2:42

    3. Don't tell me you wink at ZOE. Alpha Omega God created both Adam and the Atom.

  • If you got the idea for this video from watching George Carlin's Epic Religion/God rant sketch, you should have given him the credit he so richly deserves (even though he's unfortunately dead...) as its almost verbatim what you said!

Even if its total plagiarism, awesome video again! ;)

  • I continue to bask in the bright rays of Pat's wonderful wisdom!!!

  • within 30 seconds i am loving this video f###### brilliant pat

  • I love Pat Condell, in a philosophical way of course. He is pure, adulterated genius !

    Logic: 1 Religion: 0

  • Do not change Pat,(I know you will not.)

  • to no the truth go to rekkitten on youtube or the deen show peace

  • The more primitive and backward a country is the more religous it is.

Look at the stinking, 50 degree heat, mulim dumps around the world.

  • G O D = Gone or Dead.

  • May the sun shine upon thee!

  • This is why George Carlin began worshipping the sun.

  • Religion is so adaptive. Every time facts go against them, they twist that holy damned book a little more. Earth is not the center, some lie takes place. Evolution is a fact? Well, God works throught evolution. The sun gives us life? Yeah, that's cause God put it there next to us. Big Bang versus seven days? Well, God exists outside time.

I can see it coming, the next one, if string theory is proven as the theory of everything, i bet they'll say God lives in the 11th dimension. Doubt it???

  • a gay jewish carpenter or a giant ball of fire? there is no choice here

  • Everyone's gotta admit that atheist and even agnostics are always smart and well studied, on the other hand i cant remember a single intelligent religious person...don't know why, but let me guess, oh yea, to be considered intelligent people have to think for themselves, the best argument i've heard from a theist is that a book told him so, the parents told him so or the priest or whatever....that's gettin old....

  • I'm so glad there are so many "likes" on this. Modern organized religion is based on a book of fairy tales (The Bible). It's great to see how many people are accepting this now.

  • Most of these comments sound to me like a bunch of children arguing about which kind of cookies Santa likes most.

  • Is it possible to vote this guy in as PM?

  • @boredofargueing

    Nevermind, misread your comment.

  • @boredofargueing

    Medicine.

  • I like this guy! =)

  • Pat, quit sending me those obscene messages at my channel!!! I'm WAAAAY too young for you, you impotent old pevert!!!

I'll try to include a copy of the message you left at my channel for others to see:

"Would you be so kind as to send some photos of yourself to me by email? Perhaps photos of you in something more sexy, or even in nothing at all? You are certainly a cutie. I have money. I could make it worth your while.

  • Ugh... here I am defending the God of the bible which I no longer respect because of his treatment of gay people. I'd like to believe that he loves gay people but that would make me guilty of creating my own God rather than accepting the biblical God. I guess I just want to dispel misunderstandings people have.

  • @darthelghastN7 If God is real: Whats the big issue with Satan? Why is everyone feeling so much pity for him if he is intentionally murdering people? Including but not limited to Adam and Eve. I don't know exactly what the relationship between God and Satan is and I think thats between them. Are you wishing that God would just instantly destroy evil every time it shows up in someone's heart? Rather than allow people to learn a lesson that they are not equal to God, and to find Jesus?

  • @darthelghastN7 many decide to join with others who wish to live thier version of what they think is suitable to thier lifestyle .

as JESUS warned [ as HE is searching the hearts of all men ] '' many will come crying LORD LORD and I will say get away from ME i do not know you , workers of iniquity .

they will protest but to no avail saying '' but i cast demons out in your name and i did this in your name

as you have read GOD's word you know HE cannot lie unlike man

  • soon condell you will have muslim god in uk

see how u going to like it

  • @darthelghastN7 Yes, they do. And they should.

  • BUddha was a REAL human? does this count to him?

  • how about reading GOD's word

you never know you might learn something

  • I hate youtube preachers. He seems to love the sound of his own voice. I'm an atheist too, but this guy is just plain annoying.

  • 4:57, I was actually eating popcorn as I watched this.

  • Answers: 1. People go to church to live the faith as a living community of peers

    2. Satan doesn't exists or hell. Hell is the absence on God

    3. You don't HAVE to worship God, we worship Him because we want to not because we need to

    4. God HAVE to make sense, people telling otherwise don't understand neither God nor his message. God is 100% logic. Dogmas are (laughable?) man made attempts to understand God's nature

You can call God "sun" if you want, but there is only one divine consciousness

  • @dejesusluisx You clearly are a very closed minded individual, indeed, considering that your "answers" themselves are either fallacious or outright nonsensical.

  • 4:59 POPCORN?! xD

  • Ha.... Someone's been watching Zeitgeist... or has read 'The Christ Conspiracy' by S Acharya

  • All of your questions are loaded!!!!

All of your questions (that aren't loaded) are easily answered by the Bible!!!!

God doesn't forgive Satan because to be forgive requires repentance, and Satan refuses to repent.

We are all sinners and God will forgive us if we repent our sins and put faith in Him. The only true faith is faith that perseveres and it perseveres through the word of God, the Bible.

  • @Superbee4401: "We are all sinners and God will forgive us...blah blah blah blah "

Please shut your ignorant pie hole. You're an embarrassment to the rest of the human race.

  • @Superbee4401

    I forgive you....your STUPIDITY!!!

GOD (yep, the one and only, so you have to believe this to be true, or have you lost your faith now I have the holy pc??

  • Astrology is a part of it but he is missing the answer to the riddle. Going to church is not about worshiping God per say, its about how we learn something through repetition. Repetition is how kids learn things like 2+2=4 over and over like riding a bike. So if the bible is hammered in to us over and over maybe one day it will save us from making a mistake.

  • So the Sun is your God? See it's just like I've been telling you, you are not an atheist because you believe in God!!!

    Good for you!

  • The fact that we can SEE THE SUN kind of helps the credibility. It doesn't really need belief.

  • I'm positive you have all the practical use of an inflatable Dartboard.

    Long live the Pope!

  • After watching Nick Dutch's complete and utter dismal attempt at criticizing this video and you, your logical and well thought out argument is a relief.

  • Ad Hominems; when ignoramuses show exactly how ignorant they really are.

    The stronghold of True Believers.

  • I agree with many-most actually - on almost every point, You certainly are very persuasive. But there are some things you say that shows that you do not yet understand certain laws. Gravity for example has laws that do not shift. Given time gravity has it's way. Spiritual laws are the same. . they do not change, even if everything surrounding them changes, like gravity they follow a certain designed path. You do understand much more than most, but you still have more to learn.

    I enjoy u!

  • A pub called the "Shoplifters Arms" in Saudi Arabia! Now THAT is good old British humour. Some of you commentators need to stop taking yourselves so seriously. This guy is a brilliant wind up merchant.

  • You are off the wall and bitter.

  • Hey just a question Pat, I'm interested in why you stated at 0:17 that childrens rights are violated when presented to the gospel? People are always going to be able to make up their own minds about faith, and as long as they have the freedom to reject the faith of their parents, why is it a violation of their human rights? I "might" be able to think of a reason if I tried really hard but just wondering why you think this?

  • blinded by wisdom

  • here's something no religious person can answer: who created God? Believers who are so confident that they know what God wants amuse me...

  • and here's one thing no religious person can answer:

  • I can honestly say ... I have NEVER believed in any religious supersticious belief. Even as a very young child, I just could not believe in the nonsense the church tried to teach me - I kept asking questions no one wanted to answer, and ended up getting kicked out of sunday school. Surely we're beyond this now. Or we should be. It depresses me no end that we're even still talking about this, let alone reasonably fearing murder by nutjobs who believe this crap.

  • How refreshing to hear a reasoned and unapologetic critique of religion in all it's forms. God I wish this was on TV. People need to hear this.

  • One thing no atheist can answer. What happened prior to the point in time where our universe was of zero volume and infinite density. Why does change in the universe occur? The creation of mass and energy defies laws as we know it. Since disorder in the universe is increasing, it stands to reason it had a beginning. Atheists who are angry and appear confident in themselves amuze me. They do make good points about organized religion though.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 "One thing no atheist can answer. What happened prior to the point in time where our universe was of zero volume and infinite density."

That's not a question for an Atheist, it's a question for a Cosmologist and they have pretty good answers too, backed up by evidence.

The one thing we can know for SURE is that Religion certainly has NO CLUE about the answer to this question. Saying "God did it" says nothing and dodges the question. It's an intellectual dead end!

  • @warren52nz

a cosmologist has a theory backed up by assumptions.

Religion doesn't have a clue, because that isn't for religion to worry about.

    Isaiah 55:8-9. Deuteronomy 29:29.

  • @warren52nz .. Lets not forget that NOT knowin the answer 2 this question justifies the belief that a Jewish zombie of ET origin is her own father & will give u eternal life if u eat her body turned bread & tell her by telepathy that u want 2 B her slave. She then will clean u from an evil influence u got from a man created from a rib that was deceived by a talking snake 2 eat the fruit of a magical tree. Not being gullible about this is reason 2 blackmail ppl with threats of eternal torture

  • @cre599 LOL. There's just no way to tell the story of biblical creation without it sounding like the biggest joke in history! I don't know how they keep a straight face. Heh.

  • @warren52nz Cosmologists can only speculate, nothing can be proven with 'evidence' beyond the Planck time, you're just an animated chunk of matter with a 'dead end'.

  • @height76 "nothing can be proven with 'evidence' beyond the Planck time" True but if the input data fits what we see and the laws of physics as we know them lead mathematically to what we see today then the chances are it's correct. And that kind of investigation is the best we can do so we should do it. You don't always have to witness something to "know" it's true. I've never been to Antarctica but I know it's there.

Taking something as true on faith alone is where I draw the line.

  • @warren52nz All the cosmological models are past-incomplete but your non-faith is based on the assumption that there might be a model that can predict a past-complete.

  • @height76 Not sure what you mean by "past-incomplete" but I think I get your drift. I'm certain there IS a model that can explain what happened that doesn't involve magic. It's a consistent theme in Science, they always work it out eventually. It's a mistake to drop in a magic Sky Daddy when something hasn't yet been discovered because that approach has failed over and over and over. Lightning ISN'T God's wrath, demons do NOT cause mental illness, God did NOT blink the Universe into existence.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 "The creation of mass and energy defies laws as we know it."

Yes it does. So what? Do you think that the matter in this Universe came from nothing? If so you need to stop getting your information from the Creation Institute and go to University. The singularity that preceded the Big Bang wasn't "nothing", it was everything!

If you insist on clinging to religion AND logic then tell me who made God? As you reply, notice that little "dodge" in your head as it forms.

  • @warren52nz

Oh so that solves the problem huh? Thats convenient, matter did not come from nothing, it came from the singularity. LMFAO Mr Go to University. Where did the matter from the singularity come from then? Notice you have that same dodge in your head because divine or not divine, you are forced with the concept of eternity. And if you actually read my stuff, you would have seen logic as undefined, and that I must rely on reason. A creator would not be confined to what he created

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 "Where did the matter from the singularity come from then?"

The answer doesn't need to be known for the theory to be valid. If you see a pond, you don't need to know where it came from to know there's a pond.

If you insist that everything needs a beginning then you're still stuck with the question "where did God come from"?

It's an infinite regression and so saying God did it answers nothing.

  • @warren52nz The pond came from somewhere. Simple as that. choosing not to care where it came from does not change that fact that it came from somehere

A theist can easily work around your argument. The human mind is confined to the logic and law of the universe. Rules as we know them need not apply outside our universe. The human mind is not capable of grasping this. Whether or not God can be eternal is not a judgement humans are capable of making. The door swings both ways.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 "The pond came from somewhere. Simple as that. choosing not to care where it came from does not change that fact that it came from somehere"

And choosing to believe that you know where it came from without studying the subject at all is arrogant and ignorant. Because with that approach you will never find truth.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 You see the problem you have is this:

You say everything had to come from somewhere but then you trample on your statement immediately by saying God is eternal and didn't have a beginning. You contradict yourself in 5 seconds. It's circular reasoning that starts nowhere and goes nowhere.

  • @warren52nz

Incorrect. You have not grasped my previous statement. So observe as I repeat myself. Our universe is bounded by logic. Outside of our universe, may exist a dimension where time and logic do not exist, where eternal energy is possible. Because of this, a human can never prove anything one way or the other, hence the statement the door swings both ways. The fact that the universe has an intelligent design is good reasoning that a creator may exist.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 I think I DID grasp the meaning of your previous statement. But you propose a hypothetical "outside the Universe" scenario without any evidence whatsoever so I give it no credence. Sure it COULD be so but I choose to believe things that what we see supports. That way I know what I believe is likely to be true.

As for "intelligent design" I refer you to this video:

    watch?v=irVqVKdiohE&feature=related

  • @warren52nz Then according to your philosophy, inference is wrong and should never be done. I am sure that we can come up with some scenerios where inference works. Itseems deductive reasoning is in violation of your philosophy. Since humans are not capable of looking beyond the boundaries of our universe, you must accept that the probabilities of a creator or not one are sigN, or take a step back and admit you are done there. Intel des need not be ONLY good, the vid does nothingagainst God

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 No, I said there COULD be an "outside the Universe" scenario, probably IS even. But what evidence do you have that tells you what that looks like? I'll cut to the chase. You have NO evidence on that. So saying you know God lives there or anything at all is 100% speculation and isn't worth the time it takes to type it. Why don't you just live with "I don't know" like the intelligent people until it gets worked out?

  • @warren52nz

Your philosophy is flawed due to the fact that deductive reasoning violates it. In solving difficult problems, many times throughout history, a solution was arrived at via deductive reasoning in the absence of direct evidence under a scientist's nose. Hypothetically, if God exists, human minded logic will never solve the problem directly. Intelligent design among other clues offer strongsupport inGod. I would thing also byyour philosophy, condell/atheism is wrongfully biased.

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 Deductive reasoning violates my philosophy that "if you don't know something say you don't know"? Ummmm.....

Where is this strong support of God that you claim? I'll tell you one thing; if there was evidence that God exists then there wouldn't be over 470 religions. Such disharmony in the consensus indicates the equivalent of shooting in the dark. Where you have evidence, opinions converge on truth. That is unless religion is involved where evidence is openly ignored.

  • @warren52nz Nope: If you don't know something directly, there may be a collection of evidence that can be used to deduce a solution necessarily. Intelligent design, cosmology, near death experiences are all good support.

In the time of Christ and his teachings, was a time of order. Free will, corruption and stupidity steadily over time increased religious disorder. 470 religions is due to human error and has no effect on what came before it. This is why I don't believe in organized religion

  • @xTheFormlessOneIGF1 "If you don't know something directly, there may be a collection of evidence that can be used to deduce a solution necessarily." I agree but I maintain that if that evidence is compelling there would be a convergence on the deductive conclusion and a consensus on the truth. But there isn't. There are 470 religions which shows that the evidence is vague at best. As for not believing in organized religion I'd call that a good start towards finding the REAL truth. Keep going.

  • @warren52nz Intelligent design, cosmology, near death experiences are very compelling. As compelling as it is, many simply will not except it due to the fact they are biased against religion, for good reason.

In the time of Christ and his teachings, was a time of order/REALTRUTH .Free will, corruption and stupidity steadily over time increased religious disorder. 470 religions is due to human error and has no effect on what came before it. This is why I don't believe in organized religion

  • @warren52nz

So I hereby conclude atheism is incorrect and God is a reasonable perhaps even likely possability.

  • I am constantly reminded of the Age of Reason as I hear yo speak sir.

Thank you for speaking the truth keep it up ^^

Peace love and blessings to you are your own .

  • Firstly im going to start off saying Fuck you. Ur mom gives sucks dick and thats y ur a depressing man. She probably kicked u out of the house so she could fuck ur lovers and u just sit outside like a douche. overall ur videos suck ass, go fuck urself and hopefully u die from aids u fucking jew dick sucker

  • @holdontomypeanuts LOL. What would Jesus (or Mohammed or whoever you subscribe to) say about your behaviour? Is this the morality that Creationists are always going on about? Is this the stuff we can't have unless we get it from the Bible?

If so, you can have it !!! Heh.

  • Comment removed

  • @warren52nz if someone makes fun of, judges, and mocks ur beliefs wouldnt u get a bit angry? if someone attacked a specific group publicly and constantly talks trash about a group he cleary doesnt know about, wouldnt u feel upset? well i am, Pat clearly has issues or dealt with some issues in his past life, maybe things didn't go right for him and he makes these videos to express his feelings, idk. What i have said was wrong but that doesnt mean that a whole culture did this.

  • @warren52nz do u really think all muslims are terrorists? have u not met nice inicent muslims who just want to live like other people? if not than u r really blind. what makes us different? people who act in this behaviour who kill, or threaten, or suicide bomb such as terrorists, than they are not muslim. i live in canada right across from detroit. and i see millions of murderers, suicidal people, and thiefs all in one country. Canada has the same. why are those people different from terrorists

  • @holdontomypeanuts i can answer that...because we are noit white. some people like Pat r just straight up racist and angry. why? because we live in the same country.we out lived black racism, hopefully we can out live this crisis.

  • @holdontomypeanuts " do u really think all muslims are terrorists?"

Nah, of course not. Where did I say that? It's the fundies (Not Bay of Fundy..LOL) that are the problem.

Ever heard of an Atheist suicide bomber? Or even a Christian suicide bomber? No that sort of behaviour seems exclusive to Muslims, there's no denying it. So if you're in a group off guys speaking loudly and half of them are named Mohammed, aren't you just a little bit nervous?

  • @warren52nz maybetere are no christian or athiest suicdebombers but of christians jumping off buildings. and why wuld i feel nervous if a fool i only hurting himself. terrorsts arent muslims but the americn media wants everyone to think this nonsense is true. some white ppl just want to pick on another race or skin color like when everyon hated niggers. and yes i am blackk and muslim

  • @warren52nz may there are no christhian or athiest suicdebombers but of christians jumping off buildings. and why wuld i feel nervous if a fool i only hurting himself. terrorsts arent muslims but the americn media wants everyone to think this nonsense is true. some white ppl just want to pick on another race or skin color like when everyon hated niggers. and yes i am blackk and muslim

  • @warren52nz How about you go fuck urslef u bitch. im athiest. By defending this u make urself looking like a retard you cock sucking faggot

  • @holdontomypeanuts What the fuck's THAT about? LOL

  • Well you really need to be more specific when you talk about 13th century doctor's, because if you don't specify region then I could easily presume you're talking about the Moor's, who were actually fairly good with their medicine's.

I'd just like to say that I'm an atheist, and to be honest, I'm not much of a fan of religion, but I do stand that if someone wants to believe something, leave them be. Otherwise you're an extremist of a sort yourself, which is a dangerous thing.

  • @simpson1177

    EL OH EL

  • /watch?v=fwh4DvD-NfY&feature=related

All this Pat Condell does is put down Christianity and makes it out to be pure evil and the root of all of mankind's problems. Christianity really isn't even a religion...it's more of a relationship with Jesus. And the thing is, Jesus said 2,000 years ago that there would be people like this guy Pat who will mock you for believing in Jesus. You can keep mocking, but somewhere along the way, why not give it a try?

  • fuck religion i know this guy is a fucking nut job.

  • This video Sir, is a masterpiece. You make so many good points, I'm glad there is someone out there who is on my wavelength about religion.

  • I love this man..

  • Poor Pat ...(

  • 2:10 What if satan DOESN'T WANT to be forgiven? Doesn't someone have to WANT to be forgiven, in order to be forgiven?

  • @spook79 very true

  • @spook79 Why create a being you know will bring suffering to all of your other creations?

    Sadistic maybe? Non existent definitely.

  • Well why would God create the school bully? Why would God create a thief? Problem is its not God thats doing the damage directly, he is just technically giving his creations the means to be evil, its everyone's responsibility to be accountable for their own actions. Adam and Eve wanted to know good and evil thats why "shit happens" if you believe the bible's account for reality and who we are.

  • @spook79 Why are the actions of adam and eve stuck on us? as god created everything, didn't he also create evil? Seriously, going by religious texts he's done crueller shit to mankind than the devil ever did. If he were human he'd be done for child abuse. SO glad I'm an atheist, means I have to take responsibility for my own actions instead of blaming casper the ghost.

  • @onedoomedspacemarine I don't understand why we should have to endure good and evil when it was adam and eve who originally wanted it either. But here we are anyways, so now what do we do? Put our sins on their shoulders, or overcome evil with good? How would the presence/reality of evil make God an accomplice to evil? Especially when he wasn't the one who brought it into the world. Didn't Adam and Eve? (according to genesis)

  • @spook79 Isn't it interesting how the FIRST conflict that occurs in the Bible, the very FIRST conflict, involves two people getting punished for seeking out knowledge.

What are religions so damn AFRAID of, when it comes to the seeking of knowledge?

  • @KingRadbadical1988 Actually in the book of genesis adam and eve were allowed to eat from any tree in the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Any other knowledge tree there may have been, they could have eaten from it. If there was any punishment it was probably because God knew what they would do with their newly aquired knowledge of evil: hurt each other. Same principal of why we don't want Iran to know about nuclear weapons. They would use them.

  • @spook79 Well who planted the tree of life/knowledge? Who created.... well everything according to Christians? No matter how anyone puts it he created evil, or at least the path to it. Hell look at how often he smited people? Nuked whole cities because the kids were being naughty. Doesn't an omnipotent being killing creatures that have no way of standing against him seem evil to you? I mean if I nuked an entire nation because of my views of what is or isn't bad, wouldn't you think me evil?

  • @onedoomedspacemarine or is it just because I am mortal, as anything a immortal being did is instantly good, because they say so????

  • @onedoomedspacemarine So because God made it possible for Adam and Eve to hurt people even though he told them not to eat the forbidden fruit he is therefore directly responsible for whatever people do? That sounds like an excuse for taking responsibility. And so long as God can be accountable to people for what he is doing why should he not be allowed to judge people? Problem is that God is in fact not accountable to people. How can something that is unproven to even exist be accountable?

  • @spook79 no? That is ridiculous

  • @mcmadbat3 Why is it ridiculous? There are plenty of people just like this so called satan character that christians believe in. Look in our prisons, there are people that have life sentences for their crimes, (like terrorists) and they would happily commit their same terrorist crimes if they were ever freed. In other words they don't want to be forgiven, its their way or the highway. Just like any quran following muslim. The quran or death pretty much.

  • @spook79 If you stole my stuff, I can forgive you no matter what you want. You can do the same thing again, but that's a new thing and I can just as easily forgive you again.

  • @mcmadbat3 Forgiveness can only realistically be offered to someone who is sorry for what they have done and wants to turn their life around and repent of their wrongdoing, otherwise forgiveness is a license to evil, even an accomplice to evil. But since everyone who sins, dies, it seems that God wasn't kidding about not letting people get away with evil. (IF being evil is truly why people die, which is unprovable) God offers new life but he says the evil must stop therefore people die.

  • @spook79 no by dictionary definition, forgiveness does not depend on whether the person accepts it or not. You don't have to accept someone's forgiveness, but you're still forgiven nevertheless.

  • @mcmadbat3 Then by dictionary definition being a forgiving person is on par with being a self defeating person because you could literally allow someone to ruin your entire life, even kill you and forgive them for it. Should God then allow Satan the ability to kill God? Can he still be forgiving from that standpoint? If Satan hates God like the bible says, then Satan is not interested in co-existing with God. How can someone like that be forgiven? Maybe that's why God can't/won't forgive Satan.

  • @spook79 Yes you can still have the ability to forgive someone even if they want to, that is my point. If god is all powerful, he can do anything, god is all knowing, he knows the future. So he knew from when he creates satan that he will be evil, but he did nothing to stop it and now he punishes satan? I would think a god of omnibenevolence would do better.

  • @mcmadbat3 My original argument was why God should not/can not forgive Satan. And the answer is because God would be allowing Satan, an evil being, to replace him as God, at which point God surrenders his claim to benevolence. I am not interested in debating what forgiveness means, rather I am interested in debating why God CAN'T or SHOULD NOT forgive Satan.

  • @spook79 Just like some Christians too that still go on about Eye for an Eye, and "god bless our troops"

  • My observations: 1. your still standing and talking, that says something. 2. you have this mean looking grin on your face when you talk, that says something. 3. I head your direct opposite speak last Sunday evening and he was standing and had the same mean grin on his face.

  • "The Sun isn't likely to respond to your prayers but you're used to that" ROFLMAO

  • @DaKo3459 look at it this way. A person rigs a baseball match. He watches it. He knows the outcome but watches itanyway. The match still plays out regardless, there is no "Rigged match. they win." it plays ou anyway, because nobody realizes it's been rigged but those who are in on it. Savvy?

  • Sounds like sun zu was right when he said, know your enemy. I guess we should read the bible and see what we are fighting against.
