Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. I've done another clip on some old cigarette cards of 1930's actors and actresses: Boris Karloff, Gracie Fields, Florence Desmond, Boris Karloff from The Mummy, Charles Laughton, Laurence Olivier and many more.
Yes, the producers of the film went through all of this, though Universal owns the copyright of the look, Sara Karloff handles the likeness, there has been quite a bit of litigation in there, but to my knowledge, Conor Timmis was in constant contact between Ms. Karloff and Universal.
