  • Aussie cop-"We'll get him when he comes back in!"

    Johnny Utah-"He's not coming back."

  • warren rocks

  • Thank you for your input woodworker1964 wish there were more people like you

  • This guitar player is fuckin sick.

  • This song describes some pretty tough lessons I had to learn the hard way. There are consequences to every thought and action we do and say to another human being. When a person talks to another individual. He or She can only come from a position of Love or Fear. The consequences can be either positive or negative. I work at the positive consequences in conversations to others. Thank you RAT for your positive influence in my life... -Leroy-

  • I remember seeing these guys open for Billy Squier summer of "84", the next year they were headlining and bon jovi opened for Ratt. The next year joan jett and poison opened for RATT. Those were great times.....

  • @01po01po Those were the best times..... we both had our high school times in the 80's.... memories don't get any better then those !!!

  • @01po01po Right on bro...Definitely GREAT times indeed. I saw those concerts myself in Indianapolis @Market Square Areana(R.I.P.) Took my son to the Get your Sting & Blackout Farewell tour last year in Tampa. Had the privilige to see them open for the Scorps...GREAT show!!! Rock on \m/ (>.<) \m/

  • @headkickerIII You certainly got that right !! Warren was Amaze'g on guitar & Slash..... well, they can have him, he aint got noth'n on di martini. I miss those days !!

  • Juan and Robbin made Ratt what they were! Juan's backing vocals were great! Reat in peace Robbin you are missed!

  • RATT---"NOBODY RIDES FOR FREE"

  • Robbin Crosby's riffs were the anchor for the Ratt sound, and it's not the same without him. Rest in peace Robbin. Those first five Ratt albums are classics.

  • R.I.P aqua net 80's hair glam metal 1980 - 1990

  • Absolutely TRUE GREATNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • You gotta pay to play so dontcha stand in my way 'cause nobody

    Nobody rides for freee!!!!!

  • i got to meet warren and bobby once in misoula, mt. As a life long RATT fan it was pretty cool to shake their hands. Thanks to Blotz and W. RATT & ROLL!!!

  • this is Great > i hope i can play guitar like Warren someday

  • Wow - great footage (guitarist only) and great audio (guitar only)! 5 stars to the videographer for getting what's important!!!!

  • Nice, but they need to amp up Pearcy's mike.

  • God I love this song so much!!!

  • Who rides for free? What? Who?

  • Besides Warren's obvious abilities to shred, imo another thing that just put him head and shoulders above the other guitarists of his genre and era was the sheer ability to make a quality riff. All great songs are centered around that powerful riff.

  • i love ratt's music in studio but not so much live. but ratt is one of my favorite bands

  • They were both uniquely awesome but different in style. I love em both man.

  • i was born way to late

  • I always wondered who was the better guitarist back in the day? Warren DeMartini or George Lynch?

  • @VooDooBuddhaHead

    Lynch hands down!

  • @VooDooBuddhaHead, I prefer Warren. He was more technical and more groovy.

  • whatta killer riff warren plays so well and tasteful.

  • WOW!!! Great close ups....what a super video!!!! Thanks!!!

  • Another great tune, DeMartini is brilliant!

    RIP King!

  • Warren DeMartini is an absolute monster!!

  • I always thought this was supposed to be Johnny Utah's theme music at the end of Point Break lol

  • im so pissed that youtube took down the music video wtf!!

  • When did he turn into Michael Shenker?WOW!

    Awesome.

  • since they played together on some tour dates lol;warrens guitar hero,im sure he would love your comment.

  • Yeah, totally amazing. I've always heard a little bit of Schenker in Warren's phrasing. In this Vegas show he was really on fire. He just slays.

  • GREAT SOLO!

  • Warren, playing a Performance Guitars 'Corsair' model custom guitar. These videos by the Oil Can (meant in appreciation) are fantastic for any guitar player to watch, listen and learn....

    INFESTATION: April 20, 2010

    RATT & ROLL !!!!!

  • Good job keeping the camera on Warren!

  • they sound awesome live

  • wow amazing nice solo

  • Dont get any better.

  • great video man....nice to hear and see him close up on a live show like that. Nice camera work! heh

  • Wow, this is awesome! great filming oilcan00 and thanks for sharing.

  • You simply don't hear guitarists of the caliber of Warren much any more, it used to an essential part of the culture. I remember for a while in the shitty mid '90s, it was highly frowned upon to even play any solo. But people have been coming back to their senses in recent years!!

  • I like Brittney Spears!! \o/

  • Agree, "grunge" required your instruments to be out of tune and strummed randomly while wearing a crappy flanno shirt, I'll take actual talent over that any day.

  • Huge Ratt fan. This is actually one of my favorite songs. It has that Ratt-n-roll attitude. Can't wait 4 the new CD.

  • Just to add a little history. This song was first written and performed by Steve Caton who was the long time Tori Amos guitar player and then ratt purchesed the rights and cut their version. Which as you all know the caton version was way different, although the lyrics were close the entire feel was different( I only heard the caton version once though and it was like 15 years ago) and that's the story if you don't beleive me check the songwrite credits on ratt an roll!

  • Sweet....I know Steve pretty well....I used to surf with him all the time at Malibu...I was aware of him being Tori Amos' guitar player,,but not about this..thanks...by the way...he says he hasn't picked up a guitar for years..

  • refreshed4everme;

    It's J-I-M-I

    Thank You.

  • Where's Robbin????

(this is during the Detonator tour, so I think I have an idea....)

  • in re-hab 4 herion addiction,so sad he was so talented too !!! csc/09 in Lynchburg V.A. !!

  • Seriously, Ratt were a badass! hard rock band. They were really great. Warren is just one of the best, I always include him in the holy trinity of LA Shredders who are George Lynch, Tony MacAlpine and Warren. Bobby kicks ass and Stephen voice is great and totally unique.

  • Warren totally rips the solo on this, and the outro is amazing. Great song, one of their best.

  • P.S. Also was just in the Hard Rock Casino and Resort in Tulsa OK, they have a pic of Jimmy Hendrix, that's where Warren gets that Hot opening his mouth thing, I think!!!! There's a shirt and pic of it in there...Wish I had one of Warren....wheeew!!!!!!

  • sweet music...helped me get home without crying all the way home from seeing my mom......Love the 80's!!!!!!!

Warren is HOTTTTT!!!!! Wish he had a VH1 special.....I'd be glued to it!!!!

  • FUCKIN BAD AZZ....

  • wow when he play the intro looks like welcome to the jungle

  • I hope this music will never be forgotten...

  • @TheHairMetal It won't. Hey this is clearly one of the metals best rock songs! Barnone~

  • tu soy el aweonao

  • Excellent song at the end of "Point Break"! Please get better Patrick!

  • Was at the end of Speed.

  • It was Point Break...but its not a Ratt Original Song...They Bought it and reworked some of the Lyrics

  • Totally Jams,,,5 Rocking Stars !!!

  • Rockin!!

  • Man youtube is taking down all the Ratt music videos. Communist Tube

  • Warren's phrasing is so unique and cool... man I miss his stuff...

  • You're right about George Lynch, bayley

  • Classic! Warren is out of his mind.

  • where`s robin crosby? he`s at the osaka show......

  • the best rock guitar player EVER!!

  • Great an awesome shot of Warren ripping it, and it gets ruined by Pearcy's balls getting in the way.

  • Warren holds the pick like George Lynch!!!

  • In the early 80's warren and George were best friends and you can notice slight similarities in their play I think.Since you mentioned that, you might have known this already, but others may not.One reason Warren ranks high on my fav guitarist list...Awesome video to the sharer and thanks for sharing....Ratt and roll on friends!

  • Thats how I hold it. It makes your hand much more relaxed and it makes fast techniques easier. relaxed.

  • THIS IS AMAZING. WARREN IS AMAZING.

  • Warren DeMartini es un CAPO!

  • Una masa. Uno de los mejores guitarristas de los 80s

  • I remember walking out of the movie theatre after seeing "Point Break", thinking 'WOW, I have to get that Ratt album'! Best closing song in a movie!

  • AGK972, I agree!

  • @AGK972 The timing, the setting of the scene, everything was fucking perfect with this song. "He aint coming back"

  • Warren has very cool sound! Nice sharp tone on rear humbucker and such melodious tone on neck single, which he used a lot on "collage" and "ratt" '99.

By the way, who plays keyboards on the background???

  • @Robostomp, Warren's friend used keyboards. Nobody wanted him other than him.

  • omg Warren smokes on here. Thanks so much for posting!

  • He was on fire for this whole set. Oilcan really captured a fantastic gig for Warren D fans. For me personally, this is like a flashback, because I watched him from this exact angle for a show on that tour in London, but could only get still pics.

  • @giantrobot9000, have you uploaded the London photos for a YouTube video?

  • This is the best mix of Ratt I've ever heard! I can enjoy listening to Warren DeMartini without having to listen to Stephen Pearcy!!!

  • That's one of the best rock songs ever and my absolutely favorite from Ratt! Warren at it's best!!

I'm so glad that I've had the chance twice to see them live here in Germany...

  • warren's tone is amazing

    so full of mids

    he's so tastefull too.

    ratt n roll

  • Back when songs & solos actually FIT together, not just some million note per second random finger picking noise. Go Warren!

  • Exactly. Players like Warren spent time crafting these solos like mini-songs within songs. That's why they stand the test of time. That, and the attention to tone, touch, vibrato, and all of the little things that make the greats stand out!

  • Amen

  • Yup, I miss the quality metal guitar players! I can't believe the crap they are passing off today as solos!

  • ratt should just call themselves...."warren D"

  • @bonscottrules, they should call themselves "War in D" (the name of the intro to Shame Shame Shame).

  • this shit is fuckin TIGHT!

  • WARREN! The GOD of GROOVE!

  • thanks OILCAN for posting...Note to Warren Clones: These are the best videos to watch / hear his playing techniques for these songs...BTW, nice Performance Guitar Corsair Model....

  • As a working guitarist myself..I must I've always appreciated Warrens talent...certainly one of a kind.He still plays just as good as he did back then.

  • Much better playing by Warren here than what he did in more recent years. His guitar seems to be quite out of tune here, though. Listen to the end of that solo on the 22nd fret. Ouch.

  • Warren is so tasteful

  • 4:20+ is the greatest warren close-up soloing

  • He holds the pick like George Lynch!!!! cool!!! ~cheers.

  • Nailed! Thats good live...F you boneheads you can do better? GJ Warren! Cheers!

  • That was a nice solo. Great.

  • Nobody, nobody rides for free!

  • I met Warren DeMartini this week in Ohio. What a great guy. He put on a great show and went completely out of his way to talk to me.

  • LOL....in a way, I'm glad Warren struggles with that solo a bit. It always makes me feel better when the original artist has problems with it too. Warren really gets smokin at the end. He's just RIPPING there near the end. It may not be note for note like the CD but really,,,who cares. The guy flat out can play.

  • couldn't of said it better. fuck yea

  • he plays it alright to me, almost right on, i think ur on smack when u play lol

  • That solo is one of the coolest ones from Warren IMO. I cant get tired of this tune. It's a shame Robbin's gone. I think it would be totally awesome if Ratt's original lineup would get back together like Crue's did and do a new LP. I bet it would sell big time too.

  • Robinn Crosby passed away in 2002...

  • 100% pure adrenaline.

  • I GOT WARRENS PICK TONIGHT!!!

  • Such a great song to live by, the words really speak life's truth!!! RATT ROCKS!!!

  • Crosby did not pass away before this song was written. He passed away in the later 90's, this song was done in the the later 80's/early 90's, it's on the Point break soundtrack...

  • ratt told crosby they didnt want him in the band due to his addiction..

  • 2002 dude........

  • i love ratt's version of "walking the dog" you guys should check it out if you ain't heard it yet and listen to warren's killer guitar breaks!!! totally awesome!!!!

  • Warren is one of the best guitarists

  • ...It goes both ways. I'm mostly noted as a "Guitarist". Never "Guitar Player"...I take it you're NOT a guitarist?

  • incredible!!!

  • warren = SICK! awesome

  • What a guitarrist Warren is man, unbeliveble!!!

  • What a guitarrist Warren is man, unbeliveble!!!

  • hahahah the last 3 times i saw him he was using 2 soldano slo 100s

  • Was Robin Crosby not playing at this show? I only heard one guitar and never saw Robin in any of the shots.

  • crosby passed away before this song was ever written

  • Warren should work out so he can look more like George Lynch. Think about it. No shirt - No muscles. ??? lmao!

  • i think he needs to get the Georges roids beef it up a bit

  • this song first hit the big screen when POINT BREAK was released , then they realized thatthe song was to good and stared to make live performances of it

  • Awesome stuff by Warren. Any clue what amp Warren was using for this show?

  • GREAT!!! One of my favorite songs by RATT! Thank you for sharing!!

  • the legends at probably the height of their career playing one of their best songs eva. cant wait wen i see them in melbourne on the 14th of november.
