  • Ma'am,

Is the crease for the leg behind the body exercises create a acrease behind the lower back or in the but? I have asked this many times on youtube trying to get the proper response. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Katie,

    Coweta, Ok

  • Perfect for dancers.

  • I love this leg sequence. Wow. :-)

  • WOW that woman is bendy!

  • Come On Guurls lets burn some Calories ;) x

  • Soo, a one hour dance cardio routine, one hour mat workout, followed by this, all equaling to around 3h of exercise. Yep, this is a quick workout that every normal woman can afford to fit in her day-to-day routine... Now I see how Gwyneth can find the time to blog, cook, act, sing, take care of her family, and save the world. It finally makes sense.

  • @Knishable I know! I'll add to your list...she is juggling the team of people like PR ppl, assisants, nannys, maids and other various hired help she has working for her just adds to her work load. She is superwoman. It must be tough.

  • i looooooved this workout!!! It reminded me of my dancing years :)

  • I have a question is this work out for your legs to get firmer?

  • go tracy!

  • Sorry but i dont like her at all... starving yourself and doing hours of exercise all day will make u lose weight, but also make you weaker and unhealthier..

if you wanna see real changes and feel stronger and prettier check bodyrock.tv ;)

  • that looks like it can improve your turnout too....

  • I have been doing this video for 3 straight days now and can honestly say that there has been an incredible lift in my bum. I have a J-Lo type butt and have to work on it CONSTANTLY to keep it high & round. I don't agree w/her theory on being the teeny, tiny (sorry, but I like my curves, so does hubby), but I DO like her theory on women's arms, not lifting over 3 lbs. However, a woman w/a flat butt needs to do slower, controlled movements with some weight unless she does not want sexy curve.

  • @germangirlwithcurls I like my curves too. I don't want a body what looks like a boys body. you know? :)

  • @germangirlwithcurls -- the theory is only in regards to MUSCLE MASS, not overall body form. Her theory is related to dancers -- ever see a dancer with totally a bulked out physique?? Probably not - just well defined and lean...I have a large frame and wide hips - a curvy person. This w/o makes your muscles tighter, leaner and longer, not bulked and not losing your natural curves....

  • @ditaforyou I appreciate your point of view, but I've watched nearly every free video and workout online that has anything to do with T.A., and I've heard her say more than once that her workouts are designed to do things such as give you a teeny, tiny butt, NOT the melon shape it WANTS to be. Not exact quote, but she uses those words. I like my melon booty, I don't want it totally tight, and so I supplement other exercises to keep it full.

  • @ditaforyou ...and even J.Lo's backside got much smaller after she started working with T.A. last year. My husband even took notice and said he preferred her curvier. She looks to have gained a few pounds back now, but just sayin'. To each her own I suppose. And in regards to 'wide hips', if this is due to bone structure, that's not going to change anyway. However, booty and thighs can decrease and lose shape through this type of training. I've been in the gym and sports for 15 years.

  • This has to be the world's most boring routine. I think I can see her falling asleep.

  • 8 people actually did it.

  • Her work outs suck. Learn to lift weights, you won't get bulky, ladies.

  • cool free workout!

  • This sucks.

  • I think Tracey is stalking Gwyneth. I seriously doubt she trains any stars. I haven't seen any endorsements. Furthermore, I don't see any physical training certifications for Tracey....hmmmmmmmm fraud maybe?????

  • @DouchebagSpotter666 Gwyneth actually is a partner in her company and uses her own money to support the Tracy Anderson method.

  • @DouchebagSpotter666 Gwyneth talks about the Tracy Anderson method all the time actually.

  • @lovecutie108 yeah and she's weak and horrible looking, almost dead.

  • @DouchebagSpotter666 -- ding-a-ling! Just got to Gwyneth's website GOOP.com -- see endorses TA all over the place!

  • I hate when someone uses movie stars to promote themselves.

  • I have been using Tracys workput for a month now and have noticed amazing results. My body is so much more toned up its unreal!! Your body hurts like mad the next day but so does working out at a gym..so its great!

  • @MsEmoGirl22 ohh absolutely! I love her workouts! Especially the MAT workout but boy does it change your body! shes a genious!

  • Sorry but this workout is a sure recipe for hip replacement in 5 years. Too much on the hip. Especially for the really overweight who'd go flying off the chair. It's just another workout that will go out as fast as it came in.

  • @dnmagcon You have a good point but bare in mind that this video workout is tailored specifically to Gwyneth Paltrow and her current fitness level. Even in the beginning of the video Tracy says" Hello Gwyneth here is your workout". So keeping that in mind no one should use this video to start out with, they need to work up to this point. Gwyneth has been working with Tracy for years, this is simply a "Refresher" video for Gwyn.

  • beware! The part where she mounts the chair is quite dangerous. If you're not perfectly evenly distributing your weight when you mount the chair, you risk seriously bashing your calves against the chair (if it's hard) as it tips and your body rebalances. Just got a rather nasty bruise on my shin doing exactly that. I'm a dancer by training and have good balance, but the chair portion on knees is quite hard on the knees if you have knee issues. I recommend NOT doing the knees-on-chair portion.

  • I need to buy a chair...:)

  • Hi- can I also have the link so that I can d/l it to my ipod also?

  • bikers have terrible body's imo, that why you have no butt.

  • newsflash: eating healthy & doing ANY type of work out for 2hrs a days 6 days week will give you a slim/trim body. This is not rocket science nor is it ground breaking...

  • Exactly! I've assessed and contributed to hundreds of people across 12 yrs and this method is 1 of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of. 100 reps runs the risk of overuse injuries over time due to joint stabilizers fatiguing, 6 days/wk is for athletes & not the general public showing how inefficient this is, 1000 calories is 1/2 recommended intake & can't possibly fuel efficient training, etc (I could go on for a while here). She's a joke among professionals w/good reason. Very sad!!!

  • @EngagedFitness

Would 100 crunches cause you to overuse your muscles?NO! it's the same concept here. The exercise is acute enough that 100 reps is not go to overuse your muscles unless you've never moved a day in your life. "Joint Stabilizers", what bullshit! That term puts PT's (Physical Therapists), and anyone who's taken anatomy to shame. If you are going to be giving terms they should be correct anatomical terms.

  • @dancngraindrop02

The only bullshit around here is your absurd defense of Tracy's bullshit! Anyone who defends people that don't know what they're talking about is guilty of the same lack of intellectual integrity. Don't try to pretend like you know your stuff here. You can only fake the funk so long. Bringing up a crunch as an example is laughable. Try looking at the shoulders with the rotator cuff and serratus muscles after 100 reps of overhead activity. Or a fatigued inner unit (core) during

  • @dancngraindrop02

a push-up no longer capable of stabilizing the lumbar region. Or how about lateral pelvic stabilizers (glute medius and minimus) fatigued after 100 reps no longer being able to balance a person properly? And since you mentioned the crunch what happens when the scalenus group or sternocleidomastoid (SCM) are fatigued while in that supine position? Just b/c you have a dance background doesn't mean you can provide anatomically rooted and rational arguments for a ridiculous fitness

  • @dancngraindrop02

system that is dance based. Dance just like anything else is not something that can be implemented so broadly to help people achieve different goals. I've been part of a dance culture for 20 yrs, martial arts for 13 yrs, hiking for 3 yrs and rock climbing for 2 yrs. If anyone comes up with a fitness regimen based on any of those activities, I'm not going to jump to its defense simply b/c I enjoy them. That's a biased approach, which is clearly the case here with you

  • @EngagedFitness if you're such an expert why are you watching tracy anderson?

    a little jealous perhaps?

  • @nickhaslam1

LMAO!!! Sorry but that was hysterical. I hope being an amateur psychoanalyst is replacing your day job.

Being an expert partly means looking up & critiquing the works of others in the industry. In an industry where professional licensing isn't required (yet) charlatans like Tracy emerge from time to time & are slammed by those w/a commitment to learning & teaching. I've watched & read many people's work. There are 3 Tracy vids I've watched & commented on--THAT's MORE THAN ENOUGH!

  • @ribbedwon but for some people it's more fun/entertaining and easy o stick to than going to the gym...so for women who are bored at the gym it works.

  • @ribbedwon well said very true

  • Tracy is an inspiration!!!!!! I love her!!! Have any of you tried the Mat Workout?

  • the mat workout is amazing and VERY hard! :-) She rocks!

  • Tracy: ring ring

Gwyneth: hello?...who's calling at 5 o'clock in the morning?

Tracy: Hi Gwyneth, I'm your personal nightmare...

    XD

  • Tracy you are inspirational and awesome!

Thank you for sharing your method!

  • can't wait til I get the mat workout! this workout looks tiring enough on it's own though! lol

  • Tracy Anderson is the best!! awesome results

  • 3:27 :D sweet

  • unfortunately if she took it out of her mouth, she'd be out millions-it's her client dude. Anyhoo, she's a really amazing trainer and I'm an athlete but use her moves for even more toning. Try her stuff, you'll really see results.

  • Um, well, what I'm talking about is self-respect and this midget clearly does not have any. So unabashedly gushing over Gwyneth's "amazing cooking talent"? Are you kidding me?! Sorry, but no one deserving of my respect - and dollars - so embarrassingly sucks their clients' dicks to get, ahem, ahead... Very sad!

  • aren't these moves in the mat workout and the post pregnancy vids?

  • this is a great workout...I was def sore the next day!
