sorry...my mistake...i found out now that mitch perry was on guitar...but what happened to steve man...he was the other lead guitarist between 1986-1990?
Steve Mann's father had cancer in the late '80s. Mitch Perry was brought in when Steve decided to return home to be with his family. Unfortuantely, Steve's dad lost the battle to cancer and passed away. Steve was asked to return to MSG. Steve and Rocky were in the band "Lionheart" during the early '80s.
Although Steve Mann played Keyboards and Rhythm Guitar on the "Perfect Timing" album, the 1987-88 tour included Mitch Perry on Keyboards and Guitar. Mitch's guitar solo on "Gimme Your Love" was added late in the album's production sequence. Steve returned to MSG after his father passed away and was heavily involved with the writing and recording of the "Save Yourself" album.
hey...thanks for the info...but i'm not sure if he was just a rhytm guitar player...i saw him doing some solos...for example...the duo with michael on anytime...and on a live video of gimme your love he played mitch's solo
You're not the only one crying. I'm sitting here in disbelief. This has to be the best McSG video I've ever seen, and heard. Michael looks and sounds fantastic, as usual. The camera shots are incredible. We actually get to see Bodo in action. Not only is Robin singing this one, but ROCKY's doing backup. Even Bodo has a mic. I'll bet that guy standing 2 inches from Michael will remember this concert for the rest of his life. I have memories like that and I wouldn't give them up for anything.
only one thing bothers me...on the guitar/keyboards was steve mann(1986-1990) ...not mitch perry

Yeah, Bobo is amazing! He's as underrated as Schenker, if not more.
Also, I love the energy at the McAuley/Schenker shows. They don't make bands like this anymore... unfortuenatly D:
