Learning a language well enough to perform in an academic environment takes 5-7 years. (Collier and Thomas, 2002). One year is not enough. Further, students do better in their second language when they can draw upon resources in their first language, whatever that is. Oooohh hate to see nice looking fellas like him spout such nonsense!
Students can pursue linguistic studies with their own money. Taxpayers resent paying for the education of children not their own and especially those here illegally...

Linguistic studies should be optional and outside of government education which is not authorized in Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution and therefore, UnConstitutional...
It may take five to seven years in American public schools, but it may surprise you to know that German schools routinely transition foreigners into regular classes over the period of a single school year. I've been there, I've been through it, and it works.
Yours is a prescription for supra-nationalism. American taxpayers do not want to pay for multiculturism which leads to the balkanization of the sovereign. The nation-state will not survive policies that promote its antithesis...
Are you not suggesting a similar approach for this country? Regardless of whether the Germans or the Dutch or any other sovereign implement policy directives that adversely affect their internal security is of no direct concern of mine not should it be the concern of this nation collectively...
The real purpose of "bilingual education" is to segregate the Mexican kids from the Anglo kids. It's a very devious way for liberal racists to pretend to help the people they despise.
