you dont need speed, its all in momentum and traction, i run 12.75 in semi aggressive mich tires(stock size) on my 00 silverado and can go up anything there easy. speaking of. WHOS READY FOR OPENER!?!?!?!?!!? haha
These guys seriously do not know much about sand... You need the right air pressure, those heavy trucks can make it up no problem if they would air down properly and use the right technique. Momentum is key here not speed.
correct you are. i was runnin 12psi in my 99 f150 w/ the 5.4 and 4 wheel was simple, i did everything in 2 wheel, but i started from the parking lot on test hill haha.
noooooooooooooo u don't. watch my other videos.. i generally start at the bottom of the hill (unless in 2wd). if u have the right air pressure - u can go much MUCH slower.
I was running 12 psi in my wrangler and could climb test hill w/ momentum and not a lot of speed. Then I saw this local guy creeping up test hill in another jeep, he could stop anywhere on the hill and continue at anytime. His only trick was 5 p.s !? He had a special gauge too..
GK Bass Man and Brass Sloope....
p = m * v (momentum = mass times velocity)
Traction is king.
