  • I always will love this guitar sound of this group

  • excellent

  • HE PLAYS THE GUITAR WITH HIS MOUTH!?

  • so thankfull for this!

  • i feel it so real...

  • loving them to the day i die thats all it is to it vickie b out chattanooga tn

  • This is such a good tune...lOVED it when it came out from Seals and Croft...and the Isley´s just added the right ammount of Soul to make it a groove...Love it...thanks for posting...

  • BEST ALL ROUND!

  • they cant get the staff nowdays in reply to S/records

  • damn ernie!! u made that guitar your bitch!!!

  • Thumbs for air guitar moment at the end :)

  • What's up with those people in the audience....You ought to Clap and Scream the hell out of yourselves for this shit!!!!!

  • @iPrometheusQ Because this strange ass performance is all build up, never picks up. Humdrum and full of themselves. Playing God. Now, I know the Isley Brothers are famous and well liked, so I'll give them another chance myself, but as far as Summer Breeze goes, I'm going back to Seals and Crofts version I will never revisit this dreariness again!

  • @tvbabay THE TWO VERSIONS OF THE SONG ARE DIFFERENT FORMATS I LIKE BOTH VERSIONS BUT TO ME THERE ALMOST DIFFERENT SONGS

  • REAL music! The guitar solo is I N C R E D I B L E! They just don't DO it like this anymore~.....Sadly

  • Ernie Isley ..........wow played it better than ziggy

  • music will never be made like this again.

  • Steven Jo!!!! SWAAAAAAG!

  • Dont really like this type of music but this ight

  • just want to know what's not to like about this one? 54 Dislikes, really???

  • Amazing and perfect!!!!!!!!!;);););)

  • Ernie's playing a hell of a guitar there...

  • Nice playing like Jimi!!

  • @tigerguitar69 that's who he learned from, jimi was with the isley's at the beginning of his career and he heard ernie play bass and said that he would kill on a six string, so jimi taught him and the rest is history

  • @nantoassassinfist Thanks for your comment!

  • @tigerguitar69 Hullo Tiger best wishes from Scarborough, North Yorkshire U.K I could well be mistaken but I have heard that Ernie was very influential in Jimi's very early days. As I have said it could all be a load of old bollocks but it's a goodChinesse Whisper. Regards to you and yours. Peace

  • @wobbly585 Thanks for your reply. I learned the saying ,meaning of "Chinese Whisper" . Nice to say like that influence is "Chinese Whisper".

  • Of course he was influenced by Ernie. And of course, there are many things that led to the popularity of Jimi Hendrix that had nothing to do with music. He was just another great musician among the giants of his time...like Ernie Isley.

  • この季節にはいいでしょう♫Isley Broyhers Summer Breeze

  • This is a phenomenal group.

  • @megasweet051 Hullo MGS you took the words right out of my mouth. They never got true recognition but music lovers and diehards will always appreciate them Best wishes to you and yours. Peace X

  • Ernie and his effects - bloody brill!

  • Killing cords!!!! PLAY IT MAN!!!! PLAY IT!!!! This right here is music!

  • The guitar riffs alone will get you pregnant! PLAYYYYY IT!

  • 52 No tasted

  • LOOKING BACK AS YOUNG TEENAGER,,,,,,THIS IS HOW I FEEL IN LOVE WITH THE BADDEST BAND...........SUMMER BREEZE AND A CLOSE FRIEND LOL.

  • STEVEN JO NIKKKA!

  • Fuckin Ernie!!!......

  • 1st day of summer ya'll. June 2011. :-)

  • shit solo

  • oohhh, weeeee!!! he making that guitar sing!!! :)

  • Ernie is kicking ass on that guitar, and those dancers are hot!

  • Ernie doesn't get his props as one of the greatest electric guitar players ever, but anyone who heard his work on the 3+3 album gets it. Incredible performance here gives a whole new dimension to this old song.

  • I am so glad I lived to experience this music daily.

    Intense!

  • a classic!! whats wrong with the music nowadays it seems

no one could ever be like this I wonder why I mean that really touches your inner soul and after all thats whats music should be all about ;)

  • Oh Ron, you are the man!!!!

  • Very nice bootay

  • It is amazing that Ronald voice has withstood the test of time.

  • Hifi banda topiąc plastik Coppy the tittle and listen best polisch rap artist sampled thist track ; ) one love for everyone

  • Hendrix played with the isley brothers for a while

  • god damnit ernie WANTS IT.

  • QUITE POSSIBLY THE GREATEST GUITAR SOLO OF ALL TIME!!!

  • you got that right.

  • The Song for Easy Time

  • The evergreen anthem for lovers in summer !!

  • Awful guitar to such a wonderful rift!

Truly awful!!!!.... Idiot. soiled one of my all time great tunes.

  • LOL!!!.....Ernie is off the hook with his guitar pedals, Leslie rotating speakers, playing with his teeth. I mean, it doesn't get any better than this, because it almost looks like he's got some dirt on Ronald or something that he might spill if he's not allowed to wail on his guitar at will. This is an R&B groove but Ernie is putting his Jimmy Hendrix / Van Halen spin on the whole experience....too funny!

  • Foreal

  • I don't look at the computer to see these capitalistic-driven commercials. Give us a brake!

  • I know it's been said time and time again; but I'll say it. The music industries will never have or make music like this ever.

  • @SacrificeRecords2 ` ur rite about that

  • Respond to this video... this is one of the best songs they ever made

  • yeah ernie!!!

  • yeah ernie!!!

  • love this song so much ever since i was little! my god awesome

  • I SAID IT BEFORE..THAT ERNIE ISLEY ..IS THE MOST UNDERRATED GUITARIST IN THE WORLD !!!

  • @LEBARRON2009

I don't think so. Ever heard of Ernie Hazel? Thought so. He's the most underrated guitarist ever.

  • @LEBARRON2009

Meant Eddie Hazel :) He's so underrated I can't even get his name right.

  • HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THOSE FOLKS SIT IN THEIR SEATS WITH ERNIE RIPPING LIKE THAT? ARE THEY HIGH OR JUST DEAD?

  • Ernie lit it Uppppppppppp ;0

  • Beautiful, got to love Ernie Isley and Mr. Big

  • Play that shit Ernie!

  • Awesome track!!

  • Hendrix played with these guys, at first i couln't belive it now I understand.

  • @libra61060 true and ernie was taught by hendrix

  • Ron sounds terrible here......off key, no voice control whatsoever

  • @paulthepill Do you play? Anything?? Sad that you have to make a negative comment. Go find some other place to make your tiny brain troll remarks. Besides, it's obvious--you're outvoted by a majority who've been fans for all the years the Isleys have been around. You're just another [useless] hater. Pitiful loser.

  • a little sad that ernie had to imitate...

  • @paulthepill Yo Paul. Not that the musician requires defense, BUT, the reference is misinterpreted. The "sound" sounds familiar to Mr. Hendrix, however, the emotional content of those same notes come from a different place. Thus, the distinction. Both were pure and true! It's the instrumentation you see.

  • there is new video from 1994 isley brothers live summer breeze posted 3 days ago really good check it out also between the sheets found it on google

  • there is new video from 1994 isley brothers live summer breeze posted 3 days ago really good check it out also between the sheets

  • @0:22 Dat Ass

  • Ernie mastered one of Jimi's sounds without all the power!

  • all my old school fans let me ask you all a question. which artist today do you think will have the longevity like the isley's,whispers, prince, michael jackson, ect? me personally i just don't see anyone who has that type longevity like the artist of the past. for one it's the quality of music that's being produced today and the substance that comes along with it. the industry has traded in great music & professionalism for auto-tune,no voices, and weak ass beats. today it's all about IMAGE. sad

  • ERNIE ISLEY tutorede under hendrix....hendrix told him to keep that sound...so ernie did!!!!!!!!

  • This is music you can't turn off, not like today's shit, which is a waste of power.

  • Ernie Isley doesn't get the credit he deserves for the guitarist that he is. Everyone always says he's a poor man's Hendrix but I call BS on that.

  • lots of songs have used this sample aint they

  • @CPAlyssaBroadcast aww thats just what the forlorn and heartbroken need at such a time. sneaky crafty shiksas pulling treacheries. no what we need is time, diatraction and to know that things do get you caught up where you honest cant get over thim. which addiction plain and simple. people are the easiest to break the cycle of that painfull wanting needing etc. give it a time to pass cry, hurt ,call her and you'll find that the very idea of somebody controlling your live (1x)* (nth*-^0)

  • Ernie is THE SHIT!!!!

  • The country is spelled Colombia not Columbia :)

  • The country is Colombia not Columbia.

  • Bet you guys didn´t no that Elton John was also in these guy´s group years ago. trivia

  • If you want to be recognized, check out zoetri.com

  • First off,Ernie Isley is awesome.A big influence on my own guitar style along with a handful of others but as great as he is,if you are a real guitarist/musician and not an armchair/guitar hero wanabe then you'll notice he did lose his way on the solo towards the end,he hit a lot of off notes.I'm sure at this stage he could still pull off killer solo's but I think later in his career he tended to over play a bit.I first seen him in about 78 and he just scorched that fretboard. No Disrespect.

  • @austingunsmoke

well, he learned from the master, hendrix.

really, in a lot of his later playing you see and hear a lot of jimis influence.

Jimi is simply the greatest there ever was.

imagine Jimi exploring the Funk even more in the 70s if he hadn't died.

He would have played so many great solos in all genres to come.

  • @OropherThranduil Yeah,he learned and mimicked a lot of Hendrix style and image.Jimi was great and left a huge mark on Guitar but best is your opinion. There are a lot guitarists as good as Jimi.He would agree to that himself.Who knows what Jimi would have done Funk,Maybe, maybe not. He may have dissolved into a mental basket case too.Check out Randy Hansen if you want to see Hendrix perfectly copied. Anyway, what I was saying is Ernie was tighter in the 70's & 80's than later.

  • the best at doing hendrix was ImO Stevie Ray Vaughan, he came clostest to Hendrix on his covers.

Jimi was doong funky stuff in the studio from 69 onwards, but since he didn#t have a fourth album it was all split up on his post death releases if it was ofiicilally released, but a lot of the best stuff is only on boots.

not many come close to hendrix in his prime, the one who comes to my mind is 66/67 clapton, at the beginning of cream, 66 he was fresh from the bluesbreakers and smoked.

  • ...wow that solo was painful to hear.

  • erick should have soloed

  • Stupid guitarist trying to act like Hendrix. For fuck's sake, this is NOT a rock concert! Why play with his teeth? Trying to prove he's so cool he can play with his teeth? Fucking show-stopper! Wanna play with your teeth, do it at ROCK CONCERTS please!

  • That guitarist was awesome

  • @joeheng80 You came to an Isley Brother vid to disrespect Ernie Isley? This guy lived with Jimi Hendrix you idiot. You have to be a white guy. True to form. What the hell is rock any way? Who created rock?

  • @joeheng80

    That's Ernie Isley you bozo.

He doesn't need to prove he's cool, he IS cool and he's so cool he can play with his teeth, or behind his head, or just with a pick like mortals.

You clearly know nothing about this man and his place in music history so go away. A long way away.

  • ERNIE ISLEY WAS FRIENDS WITH HENDRIX THEY PLAYED TOGETHER!!! GUITAR GODS

  • what a solo :L

  • Guitar solo killed the song. Out of tune.

  • @platypus237 u dont know what the fuck your talking about

  • Eso es tocar una guitarraaaaaaaa, jodeeer

  • Does he really have to bite the guitar?

  • Lovin it!

  • nobody is as smooth as the Isley's

  • nobody is as smooth as the Isley's

  • Firm tight and round OMG

  • hehsexI girl looking for a sexi Guy Or girl hihi

  • Ernie does it well at first but then the solo simply gets toooo loooong and overweighted, loosing the listener. You can't wait to get to the end. Disappointing for a decent start!

  • @hagnuj They were probably loaded, most of us were and we went to concerts just that wonderful every weekend!

  • It really felt like I was at this concert

  • I saw them live when all the brothers were living in 1978 . I was lucky

  • Ernie does the business, but is that Oprah's backing band? I mean, did they even listen to the original? They've turned it into elevator muzak.

  • Englewood NJ Boys bringing Seal and Croft's Summer Breeze down to soulville

  • Ernie Isley is awesome! I wished I could play guitar like like

  • @shonrock1969 go to you community college and take some lessons... When i get the time im going for.. Ima try to bring back music.. Do how sly did it.. went to a community college learned how to compose and play instruments and became big.

  • Ernie Isley is awesome!

  • Ron got a brand new solo album coming out in a few weeks with a duet with Queen Aretha. Can't wait 2 hear that. Wonder why it took them 50 years 2 finally record 2gether?

  • This song reminds me of my friend who use to get drunk and cry off this song. She's deceased now. I never find out why she would cry off this song. It was so funny .

  • after playing this song my speakers dont work anymore

  • I think Ernie Isley is Prince's Daddy.

  • i'm diggin those background singers.

  • This was real music. No synthetic stuff. Smooth to groove baby...

  • 2 meke te waiata, this song is to much my all time no 1 it makes me wana light up

  • 2 meke te waiata, this song is to much my all time no 1

  • The dude plying the axe with his teeth......fucking AWESOME...

  • who is this guy, some overweight hendrix wanabe, he's a bit old in the tooth to be doing hendrix impressions, i'm suprised he never set light to his guitar at the end.

  • @thehomefront Hendrix lived with the Isley Brothers in March of 1963 to November 1965. The guitar player you see here is Ernie Isley. Hendrix gave him personal lessons during that time. Ernie is one of the Greatest guitar players in the world!

  • @therealraybaby THAT WOULD OF MADE HENDRIX ABOUT 20 YEARS OLD, he would'nt of been good enough at that age to give lessons. who are you anyway, hes manager

  • @thehomefront you're an idiot. Go play with on a freeway.

  • i saw them in houston in the 70's

  • Summer Breeze in the summer time

  • the lead guitar solo is to die for

  • ERNIE.... wow awesome.. so much like Jimi... gotta love it

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah !!!!! RIP THE FUCK OUTTA THAT GUITER ERNIE !!!!!!!!!!

Wish I could play like that!!!

    lol

I am good but nothing like this!!!!

  • @itchyfingah lol. man ---raw ! i couldn't be in that audience and still in a seat. smooth jam

  • @itchyfingah Try to use your educated mind to express yourself with words instead of trash. It makes you sound like a red neck...all of you.

  • @itchyfingah ernie is the master

  • I don't care what anyone says! The Isley Brother's are the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever been! How many other family groups have stayed together since the 50's and still sound awesome?

  • @RANGER96SSG the brady bunch.

  • I love the Isleys. They were the best to ever do this song. My fave rendition is their video of their live performance in 1974 on Soul Train. Hands down the best!!! So if you don't like this one go watch that one

  • @thehomefront ur a dumb ass!

  • the lead guitarist is inside for man slaughter and wife beating.

  • Comment removed

  • @thehomefront where did you get your info?

  • @thehomefront: Can you give us the info, please?

  • @Neville6000 what do you want to know my friend?

  • @thehomefront: I want to know about the bullshit you said about Ernie Isley being in jail for manslaughter and wife beating.

  • A very soulful rendition of Seals & Crofts great song. As ONLY the Isley Brothers could perform. After seeing several live performances by them. To me they could never play up to the standards of their recorded releases. This is one of the exceptions. I was/still am a big fan of the Isley Brothers.

  • so bad... almost like a parody of a soul singer

  • Ernie Isley is the black Nigel Tufnel!

  • Que lixo!!

  • Hendrix lives on in Ernie Isley!

  • @bigresonance noooooooooooo

  • omg this is the stadium where i graduated from highschool and i sung for the ceremony in the same place as the isley brothers, that's effin cool!

  • is very very beautiful, isley brothers ,you're the best, god bless.

    LADY SINGER I LOVE YOU,REMEMBER.

  • My God,the ladies in this video prove homosexuals are true freaks of nature.

  • @robert140602 youmust be on the verge of homoville yourself, or that thought would have never occurred to you. Why don't you just listen to the music instead of trying to relate it to your self, whatever your self may be?
