Funny. I'm proud and embarrassed to be an American simultaneously. I'm proud because I attended a graduation for my 60 year old mother and 41 year old sister this weekend at Capella University (they each earned a Bachelor's and Doctorate degree respectively).

So is insurance a magical key that gets you health care? No, insurance is there to help a person pay for an emergency, like a heart transplant. You can get help without insurance, which is how most of those 6.7 million people do. I would estimate that only about 1% of that amount cannot pay for health care at all.

The femur is the biggest bone in your body, and in a growing child required immediate attention. He didn't receive this and now his doctors don't think his legs will grow evenly.

to get blood work it does not take long, you can almost go to any clinic and ask for it to be done. I was in that predictment a few months ago.. Surgeries that are urgent, are done right away. Your grandmother would not be able to get a heart transplant in a month or so!
