  • HOTMAIL SUCKS THE BUTTONS DONT WORK ANYMORE

They told me to delete my cache and shit, I loss all my saved passwords but hotmail still doesn't fucking work. Also they ban my account for spamming and they won't give it back.

    DON'T USE THIS EVERYONE

  • Gmail :D

  • MrYoubrian - I'm sorry to hear that you lost your contact list and mail.

Hotmail provides you the ability to export your contacts into a simple file that you can store on your hard drive. Just sign into Hotmail - click on "Options" and then "More Options." On that page you'll see a link to "Export contacts."

  • @wharpmi, HotMail account recovery tools is useless, think twice before use hotmail. you do not own your personal data. so if your a/c loss, they don't care. I have 10 years contact list. someone try to hack it and their disable the account. even you have right password. they don't list their phone no, to resolve your problem or pay them to recovery your account. I don't care how good new features, if you loss your a/c, what is good for it

  • Hot mail made all of these so called improvements but you still cannot download hotmail emails and your contact list to your hard drive to back them up.

How the fuck hard is that?? Just put a simple button on it and specify which file the info is to be saved in!

I lost my customer list and did not work an hour in 10 weeks this summer because of this stupid shit. Thanks, Microsoft....

I needed to be poorer anyway........and the new motel room is everything I ever wanted for a home.

  • I don't use all these fancy gizmos and gadgets and whatnot. Just keep it simple, clean, and fast. Hotmail has got to be the slowest email provider I've ever used, especially on Internet Explorer.

I also wish when you would delete an email that you be brought to the main inbox screen, not to the next already read message.

  • How long Hotmail is gonna dupe people with these improvements? Anything they do it seems to make it worse. They lie us when they say they clean and sweep your inbox from unwanted whatsoever garbage. They made that Junk folder just to group it out all the Junk and it still comes to my email. All we want is to have the spam and junk unable to access our emails. Mark it junk to move it to Junk folder and so to be unable to delete it. It is disappointing. Gmail is the best so far now!

  • @painetcirque

It used 2 be Gmail was thought 2 be the best email service. Its almost 2011 & thats no longer true! Gmail has major problems. You can verify that by going 2 Gmails Help Forum where youll see many people pleading for Google to help them find their email that suddenly vanished! That circumstance can be pure hell. It gets worse: Google ignores many of their pleas & does not help them even though its a Google forum. Want proof? Simply search engine keywords "Gmail Disappeared"

  • @ConsumerDog Same with Microsoft

  • @painetcirque

    You said:

"Gmail is the best so far now!"

    I say:

One day I went to my Gmail& my account disappeared. With no warning. I had important email in that account email pertaining to legal issues & family matter. If that hasn't yet happened to you then you're lucky. If you use Gmail you should back up your Gmail account the way you back up your all your digital data. I called Google & was on hold for over 1 hour no one came to the phone. I posted 2 their forum & they didn't help.

  • My hotmail was just attacked- they changed my password, got access to my contacts list of family, friends and customers and then sent everyone in my list an email that says I am in desperate need and I am in Europe and I need $2250 dollars immediately sent to me. Forums are full of hundreds of other windows live users with the same attacks as of July 30th, 2010. The Windows team says it was "down for maintenance" but they really got hacked and are to afraid to tell everyone.

    Shame.

  • @MrYoubrian

As noted by others Gmail has major problems with accounts that vanish. Though GMail allows you to use 100 characters for a password. Yahoo allows 32 characters. While Hotmail allows only a paltry 16!! Why set the limit at 16? Whats Windows thinking? I always use the maximum amount of characters: 100/32/16 with all 3 services. I too once had a Hotmail box hacked at a hacker discussion forum that boasts about their ability to hack Hotmail. The boss for Hotmail team is totally obtuse.

  • @SanDiegoAddiction Here is an update! My Hotmail was hacked and is now be used by spammers, this was in JUNE and Microsoft has not even tried to contact me to help and it is the MIDDLE OF DECEMBER!

I hope companies with poor customer support go broke. At least EPSON printers will call you back and stay with you until it is resolved. But I never have ANY help from Microsoft, Garmin GPS, and others are horrible.

Maybe they will call me back next year?

  • @MrYoubrian

When you click on Google Craigslist & all the other Internet giants youre giving them 1 cent or more. Cause traffic is money to them. Traffic ranking is what determines their market value. CL is worth more than the Dallas Cowboys. We read that Google is very bad to users. Ditto for Craigslist go to their Help Forum & see how they talk disrespectfully to good people. A court order might wake them up. I may take one to court. If theyre no good dont click on their site.

  • @MrYoubrian

"I hope companies with poor customer support go broke. At least EPSON printers will call you back and stay with you until it is resolved. But others are horrible."

My sentiments exactly. The industry needs guidelines. Essentially the Internet is same age as a toddler. The companies who benefit & render bad service to good people need guidelines to follow like auto mechanics etc the only 1 bigger to make them change is the govt. The Internet is 'freewheeling' as is Google, CL, etc.

  • I HATE THE NEW HOTMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The new Hotmail SUCKS! I cant even download videos in ym email. ffs

  • sounds good but I can't send emails now, reply, forward or more importantly attach documents in my Microsoft Live or Hotmail account now. I use Live for work. Can Dick Craddock or someone sort it now, please? magziatekwork@live.com

    Thanks.

  • sounds good but I can't send emails now, reply, forward or more importantly attach documents in my Microsoft Live or Hotmail account now. I use Live for work. Can Dick Craddock or someone sort it now, please? magziatekwork@live.com

    Thanks.

  • I have 100,006 e-mails. I still like the old Hotmail better.

  • I HATE THE NEW HOTMAIL! Its terrible. I'm using IE8 in Win7. Never had an issue with Hotmail until the new upgrade and now it crashed about 75% of the times I open it. Not just my browser, but it crashes my computer for about 2 minutes!!! Is there anyway back to the classic hotmail?

  • @dannyd1572 I'm not liking it either - I now don't have a functioning Hotmail or Microsoft Live. I'm waiting patiently - maybe it's not been upgraded yet. I guess I'll get used to the new one once I've worked out how to use it! Editing docs is gd idead but now all my personal stuff might be on it...?did really like the classic version.

  • I hate the "new hotmail"

how can i get back to the classic one?

  • Does anyone know how to get the classic back?

  • Comment removed

  • OMG My email just updated to the new hotmail! OMG I can't believe it! I can now quickly reply to my facebook messages/add pictures to facebook without leaving my inbox, and also other sites like twitter and myspace!

  • But why does it have to auto sign in to your messenger account (logging you OUT of your proffered Messenger)

Once again, MS releases something without testing it on more then PC with Explorer.

  • @cdpage416 found it! click in the right upper corner on your name, there you can log off.

  • That sounds really good! too bad Google already solved this problem six years ago with Gmail, picasa and Google docs. But thanks for trying :)

  • does anyone know the exact release date in India

  • gmail sucks, who made the computer ur using right now? Probably Microsoft. Who made office? Micrsoft. Now use hotmail to support microsoft

  • C'est beau, ce style d'Hotmail.

  • Will the Skydive thing be limited to the usual 3 supported browsers will all browser, even Opera be supported?

  • I hope that woman is talking from the goddamn kitchen.

  • Will they do some insane server upgrades too to make this run as fast (or faster) than Gmail? Hotmail is already kind of slow at the moment. With these (extremely Gmail-like) features it will be even slower so I hope they thought about that.

  • @MarkHilkemeijer gmail is better. i'm tired to expect a lot from microsoft. Just see the browser: it takes YEARS to release the new ie even with tons of people saying what is wrong about the browser.

  • what, no screenshot?

  • When is this Coming Out?

  • @greedgame14

    This summer

  • @MrRayoflight REALLY! O: Can't wait! :DDDD

  • nice one from Microsoft, it was about time that Hotmail to be changed and be made more user friendly...

  • Looks good, I'll be making the switch from Gmail. When does it come out exactly? i.e. available to me?

  • great :) I don't hate M$ nor love it . But now, they move a good step :)

  • It's about Freaking Time!!!

  • also, wow... you guys are just giving away the farm! allowing editing of office documents within hotmail? sounds like gmail... and sweep sounds very ambiguous.. 50MB per attachment? geez! . best of luck microsoft!

  • lol @ her/she. and yeah... it's cute to create little videos that may provide more powerful features but it will be very difficult to take me away from Gmail and use hotmail for anything other than newsletters I mostly don't read...

  • Adonde vamos a parar.......2010....hotmail 2010

  • my gmail acc like this since the beta came out. :) by the way nice coloring

  • looking good!

  • como se llama

  • @199Ruben hotmail,. el correo de toda la vida

  • Pues no les ha costado ni nada... aunque llegan demasiado tarde. Hotmail is made for spam.

    Gmail infinitamente mejor.

  • no creo que sea gratis

  • When is this gonna happen.

  • Long time waiting updates for hotmail has finally arrived. it is even better than I was expecting!!

  • hotmail tiene un chingo de publicidad, se la rifa mas gmail

  • she this, she that... jeez >_>

  • esto es genial facilita todo!!!!!

  • goaw esto es gnial!!!!!!

  • no comments....

    O_O

  • no entiendo na compadre

  • Always a step behind, Doesn't Microsoft know anything else but copy? (Copying from Google, copying from Apple.....I really did agreed with Steve J. when he said "The problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have no taste and I don't mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way" They really have no shame to copy everything at all) I really feel sorry for those whom use Hotmail. Gmail is the best.

  • @nekofer I wonder copy Microsoft is doing here. most of the features in this video, I haven't seen in Gmail before, plus editing your office just right into your inbox! this is totally brand new!!!!

  • @dodo309 Sweep is something that gmail does automatically (copied). "Spam?? there is hardly any" LOL. Gmail spam is zero, they redirect to a spam folder. (Sorry copied). The only way you'll be able to see a spam in your gmail inbox is cause you put it there. Arrange email by conversation (yeah new, only for hotmail) LOL, (you must be kidding me man) another automatically feature of gmail (copied, again). Do you want me to continue?

  • @dodo309 Preview or d/load pics as a zip file,

(damm!!!! man, you've got to be a microsoft fanboy, am i wrong?) this is an available options from the beginig on gmail (sorry copied). Edit pwrpoint files or any other microsoft office file........there's a thing called edit online on google docs that happens to be on gmail as standard feature when you preview a file, but i bet microsoft didn't know that (yeah right....copied my friend). There's more............

  • @dodo309 "The new Hotmail's been completely reworked and redesigned (it was about time), with smart tools (taken from gmail) that make it easier than ever...........bla bla bla" BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, you (hotmail users) needed this anyway. It was just about time hotmail get onboard of the really way to do emailing easy (the gmail way!!!). Don't you think? And just to end my dissertation:

Grab a napkin homie, you've just been served!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nekofer I'm goni have to open a gmail acc - can't do anythin on Live or Hotmail now but maybe not upgraded yet.

  • @nekofer that's what they've been doing since xerox, no sorry, apple copied xerox, then micro$oft apple and then the spinn begun..

  • @ teluricooo HOTMAIL does provide PUSH to mobile phones... You can get a LIVE account also. All Microsoft emails push to phone... You can download WindowsLive Mobile... Let's give Microsoft its good name back. We're killing it for no reason. All these other companies are doing just a few of the things that Microsoft has been doing for years.

  • Gmail is still #1 for professionals. But Hotmail's these new features are good news for home users who uses internet for only social services.

  • Does hotmail have enable the push for mobile phones? I can move from gmail to hotmail only if have push

  • Cool I really want this new hotmail! Enlarge your penis for free!

  • I like the look of Hotmail. The problem is functionality.

GMail "just works". With this idea of clutter and stuff, I mean, I use IMAP (which apparently Hotmail doesn't have?) so all of my devices see the same inbox. That's vital for me. If I need to track down an individual email I just go to the All Mail and search it. The rest of the stuff is all well and good, but not necessary to get things done.

  • Pros: Sweeper/Limpador.

Cons: Google Docs copy./ Copia descarada de Google Docs.

Improvements/Mejoras: Microsoft try to find your own way./Microsoft intenta seguir tu propio camino.

  • @171151 Actually Google Docs copied something that use to be in Windows Live.... I don't remember what it was called, but this is just a reinvention of that... not a copy of Google Docs....

  • @charleskesler Man, if you don't know shit don't say shit. Google Docs didn't copy anything from Micro$hit. Micro$hit jumped in really late, online editors were threatening the software market and they got desperate. Google's master strategy of processing everything on the cloud (no software, all in internet, and free) is a real threat for the future of Microsoft (a software developer), and that is what made Micro$hit panicked restructuring the whole monolithic organization of the company.

  • @quelorepario Somehow agree, Microsoft isnt that bad too, they have some good things, not free, but good ones xD

  • AWESOME

  • Nice work Microsoft, Hotmail is looking real nice and heaps better than gmail which upsets me every day that I use it, looks like its time to move back to hotmail!

  • @Brendonjford

"Looking really nice and heaps better"? You sound nothing a MS sales cheapshot.

  • @hoteizo You have got the wrong guy, I don't work for MS I just like what they build and I don't like how google pretends to be the 'nice guys' when they are just like any other big busniess and are trying to make as much money as they can!

  • me agrada la nueva version

  • hay que aceptarlo, a pesar de parecerse mucho a lo que hace Google... tiene su mérito, sobre todo por la posibilidad de modificar documentos Office online, que nos guste o no, es el formato más "estándar" que existe.

  • Typical Microsoft, giving us today what Google has had for years. Just like their operating systems. Way to catch up and not give us anything new.

  • @RobLeish And so Google has been offering the full Office Web Apps for years... I doubt it...

  • Great feature release. Kudos to the devs.

  • Great, now if you could just stop SPAMMING me with emails from the windows live team it would be perfect. Until then I'll stick to Gmail or Yahoo thank you very much.

  • hotmail = SPAM

  • great animation and great re-branding by the way ..

  • @veerendratikhe totally agree.. no wonder your comment is considered as "spam" in here !

and they say google is evil !!

  • Comment removed

  • Am waiting to dump Gmail but, cudn't find anyother which is better. I'll check this out now. MS rockz anyway!

  • Finally! A great effort by MS to reclaim their market share. Amazing features. I want it!

  • I want it.
