The 2013 Shelby GT 500 will be hard to beat in every category including price as this vehicle is more expensive than the 2012 Shelby as well. Ford is squeezing out companies like Roush. I can't blame them as it is better to keep it all within SVT and the Ford Racing division. Ford Racing has come along way and winning in all areas!!! Long live Ford Racing!!

@musclerocker Automatic is an option, yes. The Stage 3 adds about $17k on top of the cost of the Mustang GT - so your final price will be option dependent, and then if you want to upgrade any of the Stage 3 options.

4.6L in the 2010 Stage 3 was a built block with forged internals. The new 5.0's run a high compression pistons, which require less boost to make the same power, but also means that we're making the same power on stock internals. The car is under warranty for 3yr/36000 miles, like a new Mustang GT would be from the dealer.

We saw right around 21 mpg during the One Lap of America event in the convertible (3.55 rear end). The coupe's have 3.73's.
