Jesus was not born in a shed, He was born in a house. Almost every single person owned animals at that time, and kept them inside their homes. Jesus was born in a manger, but mangers were located in family/living rooms. In greek the word that has been translated as "Inn" is κατάλυμά (katalyma) which actually means "a place to stay" (Jesus uses this word in Luke 22) Also, since Joseph was from the line of David, and Marry was pregnant, they could have easily found a place to stay.
@DagakkiP It says in Luke 2:6-7 that Mary "placed him in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn". Also Mary and Joseph were in bethlehem because Joseph had to be registered on the census (Luke 2:1-4). There would have been many other people visiting Bethlehem, all from the line of David because it was the people from his line being registered there, Bethlehem was the town of David. Thus it would have been very busy and not that easy to find a place to stay.
