This is a poorly made knife. The lock has some play in it and does not lock tight. I would not trust this knife if I had to put it to the test... Moreover, the blade has too much play on the pivot, probably from the assisted opening mechanism. If you are into quality engineered products, you may be disappointed by this knife for the price you pay.
All these "knife testers / reviewers do is to play with the knife and talk about the grip on the handle and how sharp the blade is. Test it for real.
Es un comodo, facil de aperturar, el mango es super liviano, lo q lo hace muy practico y facil de manipular, es acero AUS8 es genial, un muy buen cuchillo.
After buying Benchmades for so long, I get disappointed every time I buy a Spyderco or Sog and don't get a bag(sack) with it. :-( I know they have never included the bag(sack) but for the price of some of the Spydercos I've bought I just feel like they should. A spiderweb sack(bag) would convince me to buy more Spydercos!
Good review, Bob! Hey...question for you: I have a Flash II...but my locking mechanism doesn't look like an arc-lock. It is more of a slider. Did SOG change the lock for the Flash series?
The lock used to have a straight slider as you say. It was changed to have an arc probably to simulate the look of an arc lock for consistency of appearance across the different lines of knives. The mechanical function though is unchanged and it is not an arc lock in reality, only simulates it in appearance.
The ones sold at Knives Town are exactly the one in the video. The lock has an arcing or curved appearance as you see in the video, but be careful to understand I am NOT saying it is an "Arc Lock". It is not an Arc lock it functions as I describe in the vid. A good lock, but different from an Arc Lock.

Yes as far as I know they changed the look of it.. not so much the function but I could be wrong. I do know that it is NOT an arc lock though.
