  • @iloveyouhunny This is rock and roll as defined by the world rock and roll confederation

  • this is NOT rock and roll!!

  • crap crap crap this is NOT rock and roll!!

  • crap crap crap

  • I like this dance. It's amazing :)

  • WOOOW,! Amazing show!!

  • this is rock'n roll acrobatique a modern french extreme variant that have evolved based on aerials. The term rock'n roll has been used extensively as has jitterbug so no one has license over it per say, however if you say rock'n roll in the North American competitive circuit everyone know you mean the european aerial based form you see above. Australia/NZ were slow to get on board with the swing revival so you can't really take a name claim to a name that's been in use competitively for years.

  • no way is this rock n roll, iv been doing it for 5 years now in wellington, new zealand and this is so not it!!!!

  • This isnt rock n roll

  • what is song????please!

  • The song is

Shout, shout, knock yourself out by Rocky Sharpe & The Replays.

  • @steveromans and this is rock and roll ? my god ...

  • @steveromans suggest you look at bill haley and rip it up for proper rnr dancing, yours is no where near

  • Awesome acrobatics, I love the paired acro's. Although I have to agree with the guy below, this really isn't rock and roll. RnR is a Raw, crazy, dirty flirtatious dance. And this is Obviously Choreographed and too neat. Your timing is perfect but it's toooo perfect & not rhythmical enough in my opinion. I don't mean to offend, it's amazing for what it is.

I teach Capoeira so I appreciate that side and I dance Lindy hop so I can also appreciate that side.

Awesome Video. thanks for putting it up.

  • Crazy... I like it :)

  • rock'n'roll dance looks sooo funny^^

  • hey yeh i reckon u should come to aus in june..

u can put on a demo for us! it would be awesome!

  • I compete in rock n roll comps!

they may be good at acrobatic dancing

but they can not dance rock n roll at all

but like i sed the acrobatic stuff is good! :D

  • you should come to aus in june for the worlds.... see how you go over here... just dont get upset...lol

  • I won't... RnR in Australia is not the same dance as RnR in Europe. If you search for "acrobatic rock roll" or "rock acro" or something like that you'll see the European style of RnR.

  • does anybody know the name of the guy in the video and where they're from??? please it's important!!! thank youuuu... :)

  • Yep it's me (Steve Romans) + my dance partner (Amy Oliver). We're from the UK.

  • The song is

Shout, shout, knock yourself out by Rocky Sharpe & The Replays.

  • that's fantastic!!!

  • Good dancers. Viva el Rock and Roll.

    (Autentic Rock & Roll)

  • Great dancing! Just AmazinG!

    ************

But I even can't make out the words of the song - to find it on my own!!!!

PLEEEEAAASE - WHAT IS THE SONG NAME?

  • yes what's the name of the song

  • what'da fuck name this SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is not the rock n roll we do in Australia

  • hay you guys are good but im in new zealand and your basic step is completly differnt looks difficult

  • hay i do rock and roll dancing in new zealand your basic step is completly differnt it looks weird but love the song

  • your v.good but rock n roll isnt doing certain steps its feeling the beat then your feet should go along...thats rock n roll...!!!!

  • What is the song name?

  • VERY GOOD !! I do rock and roll dancing =D

  • Nice. You are really improving compared to the old videos on your web-page:) But you dance rock quite strangely in UK. Seems you guys are the only ones dancing for the judges...

  • Thanks for the compliment! The UK has no history of dancing this style of rock 'n' roll, no syllabus, few clubs & no coaches or judges... so the reason we're the only ones dancing for the judges (+ a few other couples) is partially because the judges don't have the experience to know to stay on one side of the dance floor and partially because dancers just don't have the knowledge or experience to know how to choreograph a routine.

However, things are changing... the UK will catch up!
