  • Visited Mimoyecques a few years ago, pretty eerie down there knowing that a few levels below theres still the bodies of hundreds of Germans and slaves..

  • so is the new one 2000 lbs or 20.000 lbs ? is the explosive better and do they have diamond

lubriplate surfaces to penetrate solid rock for hundred plus feet ?

  • old coke bottles will do!

  • sounds great!!! but... will it blend?

  • Holy Christ look at those craters.

  • Americans are proud of this killing machine. What a shame.

  • @micheal74rich For starters this was a British weapon, not an American one. And you're right the Brits should just let Germany indiscriminately launch V2's into London, idiot.

  • In britain bomb drop you !!!!

  • This is what happened to the last people who launched intermediate ballistic missiles at the United Kingdom - Israel was under sustained attack from such weapons (albeit smaller) for a grand total of Eight years, and when it finally retaliated against Gaza it was condemned by virtually everyone in the UN including the UK - I believe the UN building is to receive a face-lift in the near future, perhaps a Minaret would be appropriate.

  • Dear Santa.......

  • if i had one, i probably bomb lancaster and the prime minister

  • That's nothing, you should see me at the top of empire state building eating carrots!

  • makes me proud to be british!

  • なるほど。日本にはこれが落とされたのか。

    あぁ怖い怖い

  • 65 years later, the hole is still smoking

  • i cant find any footage of the actual explosion :/ just a shitload of after-explosion craters

  • @engaurd america did not single handedly win ww2 you ignorant fuck... britian and canada were fighting 100% of germany while america did nothing, then years later, when britian was off the edge and 80% of germany was tied up in russia, america came along and started to engage the nazis.. spend more time reading history books and less time watching fox news

  • @101andrewj don't feed the troll dumbass, your only stoking the fire.

  • @engaurd OH OHH I SMELL TROLL SHIT

  • "it fell into the bunker, killing a lot of people"

    ...thanks for that....

  • Very useful video for my research, thank you so much.

  • What did they use to guide the bombs ? NATO don't seems to be able to get that precision even today...

  • @jb0433628 They had a very special Bombsight called a Stabilised Automatic Bomb Sight which included gyros and were fed with a lot of Data. They could plant all bombs within a circle of 100m and when you drop a 6-tonn "Earthquake Bomb" that is accurate enogh. I cna Reccomend Paul Brickhills book "The Dam Busters" where he tells the whole story. These guys bombed the Dams, Droped the first 6 aond 10 ton bombs AND they sank the Tirpitz..

  • I'm trying to look for the V3 Supergun

  • I always thought of the bouncing bombs as those skipped across the nets to blow up the dams as in the movie The Damn Busters. The march of the same name vibrates too

  • what about the bouncing betty???????????????????

  • Refresh my memory. A B-17,24, or 29 coundn't carry a British earthquake bomb, correct? And IF it were still in production in the Cold War-era, could a B-36,47, or 52 carry it? Just curious. IT's been regarded as the WW2-era version to today's "bunker-buster" bombs, granted the difference in weapons technology then and now. Thanx.

  • @TheSV3

The B29 superfortress did carry and drop a grand-slam after the war on the 27 march 1946 (I think) I don't think any other aircraft other than a Lancaster has dropped such a big device in wartime. You can look this up on Wikipedia .

  • @taffy402 Thanx for you info. I figured a 29 could do it (but probably for a short-range hop). With today's tech, I'm guessing we can do the same thing a Grand Slam could do, but for a lot less. (Same bang-less cost; this excludes nukes). Thanx again. I will follow up on your lead.

  • that'l keep my neighbors dog from crapping on my lawn

  • This is my theory on the earthquakes in japan, i the the united states or another country is dropping them on japan

  • Still looking for a video of the 42,000 lbs one.

  • Dear santa...

  • isn't this called the "grand slam"?

  • @onimischa No, this predates the Grand Slam earthquake bomb. Plus, the Grand Slam has about double the TNT tonnage to the Tallboy.

  • Germany never gave up the fight for world control. With the US stuck in Afghanistan and Irak wasting its wealth making new enemies, Germany made a large leap forward. Having lost two open wars to become the dominating power on earth, Germany reverted to the tactics used before 1914 and between1918-1939: Infiltrating other countries with snitchers, manipulating them and draw as much wealth as possible from these victims of German greed. My brother Markus Bott was murdered because of our homepage

  • AKA the Chuck Norris bomb

  • Germans got a heavy underground bunker? Just make a bomb so big no plane can carry it, upgrade a plane to carry it, and just blow a hole through the earth? xD

  • wow

  • It sure blew the shit out of whatever it hit lol

  • this is what we used on haiti so we could get troops in there to find oil

  • .Varning history is faked here. This movie is a mismash of fakes at 0.48 you got no lanchaster but short stirling outdated and not part of this at all eg deliberate lies ,next some parts if not all is about the grand slam bomb if not every except the intro images.

  • @Buzzlybonk Its because there is a limited amount of footage of the tallboy so they end up having to use images of the grandslam and other aircraft.

  • @naltrexone23X No, what comes in mind is they didnt know and didnt care when they did this since the story was more important.

  • is that not just a really big bunker buster

  • @randomocity999 Not exactly. The bunker buster penetrates the bunker while the earthquake bombs penetrate the ground next to the structure, hollow the ground under it causing the structure to collapse into the crater.

  • I need one for the next Labour Party Conference. It's the only way to rid the world of these treasonous oafs.

  • @Gruntol5 HERE/HERE 20 STARS

  • but still cant find Osama Bin Laden

  • what documentary was this from?

  • If a Lancaster could drop it, a B-29 definitely could have dropped it.

  • Fantastic video!

  • Lolol it's so huge that you can run over to it and kick it a couple of times before it begins to move.

I wonder how the pilots would describe flying after they dropped it. Barely stalling to full speed XD

  • God bless, Barnes Wallis!

  • cool bomb!

  • i need one

  • @14ramosr LOL, I need one too. I need to drop one on my neighbors. Oh but wait, i think that it will destroy my house as well.

  • @14ramosr I need ten. And a couple of aircraft.

  • @TheCrazyFinn howsabouts we team up. but we gotta share the planes and bombs...

  • @TheCrazyFinn ill find the aircraft. it might be a little bit dangerous if we just throw the bombs seeing as the blast radius is much further than our throwing distance...

  • (Now that`s a STASH!)

  • They have one at elvington air museum...disarmed hopefully-a real wtf moment when we saw it...

  • imagine that thing landing on your head

    0_0

  • Comment removed

  • lol any bomb dropped out of a plane could kill you without exploding if it hit you XD

  • True...But he meant to say no RAF bomber could carry it as is...So a regular Lancaster couldn't load the bomb because it didn't have the proper rack to carry the Tallboy. In order to deliver the weapon, the RAF modified the bomb bay rack of the Lancaster to carry it.

  • what is the name of the place where the v3 was located?

  • Mimoyecques, France

  • @millsi1978 MAMONYAK, SORRY I LATE ABOUT 2 YEARS

  • damn! thats a big motherfucker!

do you have any vids on the "bouncing bombs"?

    thx

  • I sure do...I will upload it.

  • thx m8^^

  • @jaglavaksoldier i cannot find a video of the actual explosion >_<

  • @jaglavaksoldier You are obviously a weapon enthusiast, can you tell me, how can you even fly a plane with bombs so damn heavy dude

  • @theGoldenAgeOfBoredo the dam busters?
