If a crying child is struggling to get free, the person giving the shots has to be quick and get them done. she doesn't have time to give a shot, throw it out, then get the next one ready before the kid starts struggling.

TIP: Get a new toy that they've really wanted for MONTHS, and just when they're gonna stick the needle into the kid, whip it out and let them see it. They'll be so focused on the new toy that they won't feel or notice the shot. I just got my flu shot today, and I didn't feel a thing :)

It usually depends on the standards of your school. Where I live you have to get a Hepatitis B shot every summer before school, or you can't attend. But those are quick though.
