  • just amazing

  • he makes it look so easy lol

  • He seems like a pretty strong dude, but I would have to believe that Zydrunas Savickas is the strongest man on the planet, not hossein RezaZedeh. I wager that Zydrunas Savickas could not only out lift him on the bench, Squat, and deadlift, but even in his own event, the clean and jerk. Nobody has the shoulder power of Zydrunas. The only person I would say may rival zydrunas, is if we went back in time and got bill kazmaier when he was young.

  • @VikingII Stronger overhead than Reza? LOL get real. It's been reported that Reza has Clean and Jerked over 600lb

  • @biglogstrongman if he can do 600i bet zydrunas can do 650

  • @VikingII a jerks and presses dont correlate with each other. if it were true then you would see weightlifters do presses, which they dont.

  • @feces9999 I would have to say that they do entirely correlate with each other. What weight lifters do you speak of?

  • @VikingII the term weightlifting is short for olympic weightlifting and a weightlifter is someone who participates in it. and the fundamentals of a jerk and press are entirely different a jerk is when you drive the weight off the shoulders with your legs and press yourself under the bar as fast as you can with your arms. the key about jerks is speed, the arms move the weight little. a press is about strength and using just your arms to push the weight up. unlike the press your jerk....

  • @VikingII will be disqualified if your arms aren't locked out by the time your feet hit the ground. another thing that separates power lifters from strongmen is their explosiveness. shane hammond, an olympic lifter, weight over 350 lbs yet could still dunk a basketball at 510. and theirs snapshots of olympic lifters jumping out of celebration on the platform with jumps clearly over 30 inches. Im not saying zadrunas isnt strong, he is, in his sport. hossein is strong in his. apples and oranges

  • @feces9999 That would suggest that I could Jerk more than Savickas if I was fast enough.....

I think you are downplaying the press power needed to perform the Jerk. it isn't purely leg strength. It is also upper body strength. The technique is obviously a key component to the clean and jerk, but I don't think it is purely technique based.

  • @feces9999 U haven't seen strongman jump - many jump just as high if not higher than olympic weightlifters.

  • @URAGR8M8 Yes I have, Magnus Samuelsson, and his jump was about just as high as my little brother, don't stick your nose into shit you don't know, strongmen don't jump near as high as olympic lifters.

  • @VikingII LMA0. THEN WHY ISN'T HE 0N THE STAGE WINNING G0LD MEDALS F0R HIS C0UNTRY. Y0U'RE A FUCKING RETARD.

  • @asborisov1 Faulty logic. Zydrunas does strongman competitions. That is his passion. That is similar to me asking why Razazadeh isn't winning all the strongman competitions as evidence as to why he is not able to match or beat the competitors. Reza does olympic lifting. that is his passion.

  • @VikingII L0L Y0U THIN ZYDRUNAS CAN CLEAN AND JERK 500 PLUS? Y0U'RE INSANE.

  • @asborisov1 Why wouldn't Zydrunas be able to clean and jerk 500+ pounds when he can press 465+ overhead after doing an entire series of weights from 300-465lbs? It is completely logical and possible.

  • could you stand further back next time?

  • he looks like he could do 20 reps with that.

  • That man should have been in xerxes army..

  • Great form, goes beyond parallel.

  • Perfect! WOW!!!

  • That didn't even seem to phase him. Strongest human to walk to the earth

  • he warmed up with 120KG....-_-..... thats my dream goal! LOL

  • @geoluo88 Hahaha, that's a horrible dream goal unless you weigh about 100 lbs.

  • That's just so fucking amazing. I love the squats, but fuck me I can't power through like he does =(. The curve in his back is always tort! It's just so perfect!

  • yea, that's how Persians do it :)

  • he warmed up with 120 and this is 305... LOL.

  • TEACH ME... :(

  • If I did this, my anus would explode.

No wait, the weight would crush me to dust, thats what it is. =(

  • @Ycondaman lolllllllllllll

  • Great form

  • yep, pat mendes is going to own this guy at the olympics.

  • Comment removed

  • @michaelzwarszawy Reza Zadeh has retired already. He is a legend and is in a class of his own. He holds the current world record for Snatch(213KG), Clean and Jerk(263.5KG), and Total(472.5KG). For Mendes to have any chance of owning this guy, he must first improve his snatch at least to the 210KG neighborhood, and then he must be able to Clean and Jerk more than 265KG. I know Pat Mendes is a strong dude but sorry I just don't see this happening.

  • @ChinaNite89 I'm gonna agree with you on this. I think Mendes's snatch could come close, since he's already doing 200 kg. But his clean and jerk needs some serious improvement. Like 40 kg or so before he's "owning" this guy. And 40 kg in an exercise like clean and jerk is a LOT... And from the videos I've seen, rezazadeh has far better technique than Mendes does. He makes it seem effortless almost

  • @Zoidypoo89 rezazade lifted a 263.5 kg, but in training he lifted a total of 265kg, he didnt risk it on the day of the competition. l

Ali-Hosseini Saeed lifted 215kg in the snatch category and 270kg in clean and jerk.

  • @zebel20 What did that have to do with what I wrote? But yeah, I heard something about a middle-eastern guy who's supposed to be awesome... will he be at the next olympics? Do you know?

  • @Zoidypoo89 oh yea i left my comment 4 the wrong person, but its ok, his name is Saeed Ali-Hosseini, hopefully he will be in the london olympics.

  • @zebel20 Well he should be if he can do what you say he can. Has he competed before?

  • @Zoidypoo89 He has the world records in all olympic weightlifting categories in the highest weight class (c&j, snatch and total). Won olympic gold medals in 2000 and 2004.

  • @seltersss You're talking about Hossein Reza Zadeh, I was talking about Saeed Ali-Hosseini

  • @Zoidypoo89 Do you mean "Saeid Ali-Hosseini"? Sorry dude he failed 2 doping tests in 2008 and 2009, now he's banned for life.

  • @ChinaNite89 Dude, he left because of a knee injury. That being said, nobody can touch this guy. Even if they made doping legal

  • @bjf5027 do a google search on the Saeid guy yourself, he is banned, not because of the injury.

  • @bjf5027 im pretty sure every olympic weightlifter dopes at one point. Not knocking them but to be competitive its the sad reality.

  • @CptCoolXD I don't but that's why you will never hear about me at international level, you wanna be competitive you gotta train like the rest and that mean's lots of training with a good hit of doping in a 2nd world country

  • @seltersss WELL ACTUALLY TARNENK0 H0LDS THE REC0RD UNTIL THEY CHANGED THE WEIGHT CLASSES

  • @ChinaNite89 If only guys like Pisarenko were still around, who clean and jerked 265 while weighing a whopping 125kg.

  • he growls like Chuck Norris' stomach

  • someone knows where i can find videos of him squatting closer? in this video he is too far from the camera.

  • Now imagine if he competed in powerlifting he would set a super elite record.

  • @Biggerblue666 he won the Olympic Gold medal twice already (C&J 603kg), also set the World Record.

  • 263 kg I meant. Obviously not 603kg. :-p

  • @ProcyofPM hahaha,that would have been CRAZY.

  • @ProcyofPM that has nothing to do with powerlifting because those are not lift's in a power meet.

  • @Biggerblue666 possibly, but not necessarily. Even if the only two lifts in power lifting were the squat and deadlift, it is hard to say if even the best oly lifters would do well. Because of the significant difference in training between type IIA and IIB muscle fibers. What people don't seem to understand is the difference between simply lifting a weight, and lifting a weight quickly. Powerlifting and Oly lifting are as different as the 100m and the mile.

  • @Biggerblue666 Why dosen't he?

  • damn his hamstrings are strong

  • "He warmed up with 120" lool what a fucking beast!!

  • The Olympics test steroids use before and after. That is how they found out some of the gold winners was test positive.

  • as far as steroids goes in the Olympics, there is a lot of politics involved but there is no doubt that any of these people are gifted with strength as well as their hard work that goes to it...... props to the strongest man in the world!!!! Rezazadeh aka YA ABALFAZLLL :)

  • Deep for two! Fucking insane

  • Reason why I like Oly lifters is that they squat clean and ATG. None of this equipment whoring that powerlifters often do

  • agreed

  • I think if he would train to powerlifting he could squat 1000lbs easily, using all protection, help, and the same skills used by powerlifting to squat HUGE weight.

  • but thats gay.

  • ass to the grass squats. what a beast.

  • @patryklau We all know ass to grass is a stupid term. His ass comes no where near the ground. Hamstring to calves is much better and makes sense.

  • @NPFfumbi But it doesn't rhyme and everyone knows what ass to grass means.

  • @NPFfumbi umm "ass to grass" its not "ass to ground." grass normally doesn't lie flat on the ground so dont think atg squats are meant for your butt to contact the floor.

  • @neoalphaone Dont think too much

  • @NPFfumbi wtf you sound like a geek dont you? take it easy man

  • he is the badest man in the world...

  • i have a friend(now he stuy in england)

    name spartak,whose hands are

pretty weak compare with his legs

his full squat record is 300kg.

    that's insane.he's not a lifter or

    something.but squat is very insane

    espcially 300kg +

  • i think it would be a little more dangerous when squatting

  • He should fight in UFC.

  • hes way too fat.

  • Yeah, it would be fun to see him on other fighters' knockout reels.

  • superpredatorr did u just say that he used roids he is an olympic champion

  • Because Olympians never use steroids, right?

  • @RebelWrestler45 no because they are checked at the end of every month in the offseason so no they do not

  • The Olympics occur every 4 years, the Olympic athletic commission does not make monthly trips to every participant country to test their athletes for steroids. If you're saying that Iran tests their athletes, then OK. If they say they are importing P2 centrifuges for nuclear power plants, I might just question the legitimacy of their steroid testing. When you have 4 years to cycle anabolics, you can gain some serious muscle mass and strength, before pre steroid test purging.

  • @LoganCart u r a fucking idiot almost all olympians use steroids

  • @LoganCart ur fucking retarded... 95% of olympians are jacked, get over it... lol 305 squat naturally, give me a break...

  • Ben johnson could squat 300kg at a body-weight of 80kg. evethough he roided is that still impressive?

  • @turnbacktime You can do squats differently. Most athletes don't need deep squat so they only go 90 degrees. Reza would probably do like 400k like that.

  • but here Reza does them relatively deep. I would think Reza could max closer to 500kg (1 rep) if Ben could do 6reps at 300kg.

  • @ohedd

most athletes are doing it wrong then. anything less than this is not a full body train but a quad isolation exercise.

  • not at all, most poepel can do that.

  • @turnbacktime Yes that is strong.

  • usually you see big dudes like him take advantage of his large thighs and barely go parallel. he goes full range of motion for an amazing 305kilos

  • Can't cheat yourself if you want to take home the gold.

  • The big dudes you talk about usually are powerlifters. Different rules, different needs.

  • now THATS A FREAKIN A SQUAT.

  • @bbot3k how do u call this a squat? real men use suits belts knea wraps have about 3ft wide stance go about 3 inches above parallel and have 3 spotters no way this is a real squat... ;)

  • What an athlete. I'd like to see how many reps he could do at that weight if he pushed himself. I know 4 time olympic champion in the discus, Al Oerter, said on a podcast that he could lift 340Kg for around over 5 reps. These guys are awesome.

  • wow thats incredible for his bodytype-very lengthy- not to mention as a natural athlete also. Makes me wonder what modern day shot putters-more known for strength- could have squatted for reps.

  • there is no way oerter could have done 340 kilos for 5 reps. he was in his peak before squat suits and would have had to squat raw.paul anderson was the only man who could have done this at the time

  • @paul418cj i heard andreson could do 1200lbs twice that around 545 so who knows

  • und er liegt sie noch selber ab die 305kg, hammer!

  • he can squat 380 raw and deep, so he is stronger than powerlifters in the raw squats

  • I was thinking I wonder if a bar's ever snapped on someone!

  • bars dont snapp, thay BEND. Metal bends.

  • LOL first set was 264 pounds and his second "wamup" is 671 pounds. What a beast.

  • beast! no effort apparently!

  • All those who shout "steroids" about this man, should remember that he is a devout Muslim. Taking drugs is absolute anathema to Muslims. I think some people are just jealous of this man's talent. Is he retired now, by the way?

  • Dude that utter nonsense. I think Rezazadeh is a legend but steriods is a major part of weightlifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding and pretty much all of them take it, regardless of religious beliefs. It is against the Bible to take drugs as well but Ronnie Coleman (devout Christian) takes roids. Personally, I dont think there is anything wrong with it and it doesnt undermine Rezazadeh's acheivements at all.

PS. Yeah, he retired before the 2008 Olympics and now coaches young Iranian lifters.

  • Umm... you don't seem to have the slightest knowledge on either subject. To even put bodybuilding and olympic sports in the same sentence when talking about drugs is so ignorant that it's crazy.

  • You dont even know me so I dont know why you've jumped to that conclusion. I've competed in several bodybuilding and powerlifing contests so I do have some knowledge. If you think that Reza is natural (simply based on the theory that his religion forbids drug abuse) then you're the one who's ignorant.

  • You fail to understand that the obvious issue I have is that you've put olympic sports next to bodybuilding and powerlifting. Your knowledge is on the completely irrelevant part.

The difference in testing, both in frequenzy and methods is so big that I'd have to use adjectives that don't exist yet to explain it.

And don't use guilty by association on me, I have never said anything about whether or not his religion prevents him from taking illegal substances.

  • Yeah I understand what you mean. I know that Olympic testing is very strict but my first comment was a response to "ralucagymnast" comment. He had suggested that Reza would never take steriods simply because of his religious beliefs. I was just pointing out that someone's religious morals would not be a valid reason to suggest that they were natural. Hence the comparison the Ronnie Coleman. I just never explained it properly. I wasnt trying to compare weightlifting and bodybuilding : )

  • Alright. =)

  • they dont take steroids, they take GH and Insulin. I know because my uncle is there Dr and i know their protocol

  • they test for gh, your uncle dosn't know shit. INsulin isn't even that great for strenght, more for size for bodybuilding and extremely dangerous. More then likely some of them just cycle around testing. .

  • are u fucking stupid? how the hell can they test for GH, its naturally occuring, you only need to stop a week before and there is no trace you ever taken any. Insulin if used correctly is the single most powerful substance you can take, go learn some chemistry you dumb kid.

  • Haha. Testosterone is also natural occuring - they test for that. Stupidity is also naturally occuring, as you are evidence of, they also have tests for that. Lol.

Tests for detecting HGH use was introduced at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens. Your uncle probably missed those games. Lol.

  • youre obviously too much to realise u dont have to stay on the HGH during the games as you get the permanent gains already and you can cut the GH up to 2 days before competition, without nay evidence of HGH usage. Testosterone is naturally occuring, but when you're showing over 2000ng/l of test its quite clear you are using. Better luck next time chump

  • Haha. Easy with the powerpunches, friend. Lol. I am sure you are speaking from experience. They have started to test out of competition too, you know, albeit on a limited scale for the time being. However I must concede when it comes to HGH use I am sure you are much more experienced than me, as I have no experience whatsoever in that department. Lol. Good luck with that. Hope your head doesn`t become too big, it will be awful lot of space for your little brain in there. Haha.

  • You don't seem to have much knowledge of the Bible, and to imply that sports medicine is something the Bible is against is like saying it's against blood transfusions and pain killers. Don't bring that mess here. His lifting is impressive, so don't be butthurt because you think it's unfair. He earned his achievements, and I'm surprised anyone marked your statement as a good comment.

  • iranian you Knob!

  • Comment removed

  • "If your ass doesn't touch the floor, your not squating deep enough" Best advice I ever got about lifting. Much better than the half ass squats I used to do.

  • He squats deep! That`s the way to do it!!

  • no belt or wraps

  • I love this man . A real hero of my country IRAN . The one and only , and never seen befor in the world . Reza Zadeh , the best for ever !

  • how much could those bars take before they snap?

  • they wouldn't snap, just be permanently distorted. depends on quality of the bar.

  • wov

  • hes takes the word monster to a new level

  • He definitely does it for the free pudding.

  • looks like he trains in a prison lol

  • the bar is bend when he has it on his back

    that is insane

  • he looks like a bulldog

  • That horse threw up 580pds on clean n jerk.

  • Holy shit!

Why are all his lifts so freakishly fast and easy for him!

  • i know.. that's just not fair..

  • even though i like powerlifting, i must admit that oly lifters are just better squatters. their form is 100 time better and they can lift almost the same. ironic.

  • Animal!! Forget about finding a nuclear weapons programme in Iran as the only weapon of mass destruction they will find is this behemoth Hossein Rezazadeh!!

  • better recognize, its the power of eating kabob and keeping it as a constant diet! its part of a nurtiuos breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • What's kabob?

  • SHAME ON YOU

only the most delicious thing ever

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 120 4 warm up lmao

    jump str8 to 305...lmao

  • does he have a BELT on??????

  • no it was also done high bar much harder then powerlifting low bar squat. This was most likely warm up squat, as his maximum is somewhere in the high 800's oly squat.

  • Not doubting you, just wondering if there is any vid of him squatting high 800's oly style, and I agree, that type of squat is superior in athleticism to the 6 inch suited up crap you see in powerlifting videos.

  • I have not see any videos, but its listed on wiki as 390+ raw-wiki no credible source usually though- but I have heard it on a few message boards also like goheavy ext. I would guess 400kg wouldn't be too hard for him, as there are like 10 900+ raw suats in powerlifting I could see best weightlifer ever going 900+ raw also.

  • Yep I agree with you, definitely possible, would be awesome to see 900+ raw oly style, maybe a video will surface one day.

  • u need to shoot yourself really

  • Mate.... lol.

  • On wikipedia it says he has raw squatted 850lbs+.

  • that is a real squat. nice!

  • insane power

  • Готовиться стать стронгменом

  • very deep squats, and so easy ! i recon he do the same with 330 !

  • som1 tell me why he only does two easy reps and dosnt go to failure, maybe he was warm up, or ur not ment to go to fail?? not suresom wd experience plz let me know

  • failiure isnt really used for pure strength training, its great for bodybuilding, but strength athletes will usually only do a certain set of reps

  • so they stick to a vertain rep/set scheme and not to failure? ive heard that its better do 1 set to failure than 3-4 sets not ot failiure. i like to go to failure because itsl ike a mental toughness challenge for me, i like to see how far i can push myself, and only when i fail do i feel like ive accopmplished something, so last question, is it better training not to failure, or to failure for strength, which tyle gives you faster results.

  • Reza trains everyday, you just can't go train to failure all the time. Training to failure is something you can do once every couple months but definitely not something you want to be doing every session.

  • he is class man

  • aww awesome, deep and strong !

  • WAYYYYY past parralell AWESOME

  • Ok

Before Sydney 2000 there was a program where the records to the different lifters stood.

And i saw on Rezazadeh and it stood:Reza zadeh,Hossein ,IRI Records: snatch:215 kg C&J:275 kg Back Squat:400 kg FrontSquat:350 kg And this was before Sydney 2000!

  • ne never clean and jerked 275 kg, back squat best is 390 kg, front squat 340 kg, and deadlift 380 kg, are u sure u got those figures wright, what programme?

  • only 305 kg?iranian discus thrower ehsan hadadi does half squat more than 400.i thought that he is much stronger in back squat.a lot of world best hammer and discus throwers and shot putters

do more than 300 kg back squat

  • Honestly my coach Hamed knows Rezazedah from when they were on the Iranian team together and he told me that rezazedah warms up with a 130kg snatch and 210 c&j (after he's streatched of corse) fukin awsome strength. And he can deadlift close to 500kg maybe even more now. And that is with a narrow hand and foot grip. You know a clean pull not like the steroid head flabby powerlifters.

  • Close to 500kg deadlift? come off it. You mean close to 400kg.

  • Hes personal record deadlift is 380 kg ! not 500, so you are right, his best full back squat is 390 kg, and he can bench 220 kg if yoy look on Powerliftingwatch news.

  • how can he squat more than he deadlifts? that doesnt make sense to me, i mean i assume that he does everything raw.

  • he needs to do everything raw, there is no equipment in comp, and he doesnt deadlift, he 'pulls' that is clean (or hook) grip and with a second pull at the top
