  • Natasha really killed this song - what a loss to the world of theater =C

pls i really want to know

  • @Alxeloke check 4shared.com

  • I love the way Natasha Richardson sings this :) you can tell she's smiling and enjoying this song

  • Is one of the two ladies a man? o.o

  • @blithium - Most certainly, yes. He's in drag.

  • No matter what was changed from movie to production to production to whatever. This musical is GENIUS every song a show stopper! Since by this time period there was the lasts of Rogers and Hammerstein, Without Kander and Eb there would be no at the same time Sexy, Classic, Modern, and Meaningful musicals

  • Ah, Alan Cumming. Along with NPH, truly the best Emcee ever.

  • Somebody please explain to me: is Sally American or British. Here she sounds British, but on Wikipedia it says she's American. Does it matter?

  • hmm, well i thought she was coz of her "american attitude" as a contrast to the stuck up brit...

  • I belive in the Broadway version, Sally is British and the lead male is an American named Cliff. In the film, Sally is American and the man (renamed Brian) is Brittish.

  • It was written for Cliff to be British because he attended Cambridge university or he was still at Cambridge.

  • She's British but in the film version she's American.

  • If you take 'Mein Herr', one of the songs she sings, at face value, she implies that she is from the British Isles. With Sally's character though, who knows?

  • In the film version, she is American, while she is from England in the stage musical.

  • She's British :)

  • The original Sally from Isherwood's I Am A Camera was British and the therefore Sally in Cabaret is to. In Bob Fosse's film version however Liza Minnelli was cast and it was decided to reverse the nationalities.

  • In the play, Sally is British and Cliff is American. In the movie, Sally is American and Cliff is British.

  • @TheRazzleDazzler and called Brian, the film just isn't a patch on the play

  • This is so nice. Truly remarkable girl, that was Natasha Richardson. I wish I had seen this.

No wonder she is the daugther of Vanessa Redgrave. It breaks my heart to know she is no longer with us. Beautiful talented actor.
