I had a really hard time getting into black metal, until I heard this. This is the song that finally made BM click with me, and is now my favorite genre. Demonaz's tremolo picking on this song is friggin hypnotic, it's like a sleet storm! That, mixed with the chaotic drumming = something I had never experienced before, and I was hooked.

Well, I think Darkthrone had a big impact on black metal, but personally I haven't listen to then that well, and Marduk I only heard maybe one song. Personatly, I am not the biggest Black Metal freak, but bands like Bathory, Immortal and Emperor really do it for me. I also enjoy Mayhem "The Misteries Don Sathanas" as well as some of the work from Burzun. Honestly, I prefer death metal or prog rock I listen stuff from Morbid Angel to Porcupine Tree, but nothing is more evil than black metal!
