  • Yes George Harrison's My sweet Lord recorded in 1970 was inspired by the 1967 recording of Hawkin'ns O Happy Day which was taken from a hym written in the 18th century originally in 3/4 time. Hawkins was the first and inspired a number of songs after this recording which were influenced by "HIS" recording.
