one thing i dont get about star trek is they never have areal military system

such as earth should have a planetary defense grid such as star bases and sattelties in orbit with guns phasers and torpedos on them and the starbases should house thousands of fighters and bombers

I dunno but if they can adapt to a Phase compressed particle beam and Bullet would bounce of thier shields. The Enterprise in TOS took a hit by a nuke while unshielded as was unphased. Thats sort of what would happen.

The Borg have one thing they can't adapt to, impact. Worf and Data cave in like 8 borg skulls in the movie and the borg never adapt to it. And picard kills two with the holographic bullets. Bullets kill through their impact, ergo it is the one weapon the borg can never adapt to
