  • well done and aint that true!

  • I served with the US Navy Mobile Riverine Force 1969-70, a combination US Navy/US Army unit; we transported the US 9rd Infantry Division ("The Old Reliables") and gave them gunfire helo gunships and medevac support with our landing craft with flight deck. This is a wonderful tribute Guuru7, and as a Navy bluejacket sailor, we were might proud to have you in the "Nam with us. Thanks for your service, old mate. You blokes were all right!

My Dad was a vietnam Vet so proud of you all and THANKYOU

  • Gurru47: Really great mate! It is very interesting to see that you Aussies got the same treatment back home that we did in the States, when we returned. I suppose we Yanks simply either didn't know this, or it was never made known to us through any form of the media. I'm in an outfit here in the US made up of Vietnam vets who were members of our Electronic Intercept units. It is called "Old Spooks and Spies". We have several Australian fellows who are also members. Great mates all!
