Great vid mate. Gave me some good tips. I notice you "trail" brake all the way to the apex. Quite a few years ago I was taught to only brake upright (before turning in) and then begin rolling the throttle on, pre-apex. (This is the Keith Code methodology). But these days everyone uses the brakes to adjust their entry line, rather than the throttle. I guess really fast guys use a combo of both depending on the track/conditions/bike etc etc. thanks again.
nice video, I have never videoed myself from this point of view. After seeing this, did you change your style in any way? I see that after braking for a turn you keep one finger just off the brake lever for some time. Can you explain why you do this?
@ccsargent I didn't change my style at all. The reason for the finger on the brake lever is really just a weird habit. When I walk around my index finger ends up straighter than the rest of my fingers like I'm pointing at something. This just translates to my putting a finger on the brake and clutch. I don't think it's helped or hurt in any way.

Nice video Chris, thanks for sharing. I hope to set up a similar camera for myself next season.
Also if you look closely your rt-side lower fairing appears to move quite a bit on straights. Might help you steer even better in fast turns. :)

was he using a quickshift?

Yes I was. I do normally blip though between 1 and 2 due to having to go through neutral and it not always doing it well with the quickshifter.

There's no braking while in the throttle and what's wrong with the shifting?
ChrisArianaBurgess 3 years ago
Ey, brakin while in throttle? also wrong shifting..

He's shifting clutchless which is the appropriate way to shift on the track..good job mate.
