I am not much of a fan of pop singers, but really do enjoy hearing David sing. He has a great voice in my opinion. Love this new Christmas song, well new for me as I have never heard it until this PBS special. The song has a fun beat and lyrics and David sounds great. I was pleasantly surprised at how good he did with the opening. I'm not sure but I'm guessing its Gaelic which would not be native to him like it would be for singers like Orla. You couldn't tell though from the way he sang it though, and Orla's voice blended perfectly in the background

This can't by lip-synched. For one, David could never get into moving w/ the music like that and contain himself - he'd start singing. People in the audience would have noticed, since his voice is so strong it definitely would have been heard over a recording. Additionally, can you imagine David even agreeing to lip-synch at all? @EmylSJ IT IS MORE THAN PERFECT..He is simple amazing live. I have seen him in 4 concerts and each one was so special. His voice just fills the room. At the Christmas concert last year, when he sang, "Oh Holy Night". I just stared up at him,(I was in the second row) and had tears in my eyes. I never heard a song sung with so much emotion or so beautiful. He gives his all everything he sings.

This is just beautiful. I am now listening to his Christmas from the Heart cd non-stop in my car. I am currently hooked on Ave Maria, What Child is This, and Oh Holy Night. Last week it was Pat-a-Pan and Angels We Have Heard on High. This Christmas cd is very, very beautiful.
