If they do remake it ( it's rumoured they are planning to do so ) then let's hope it's a whole new take on it, as there is no way they will come close to this underrated comedy gem!

There are some characters that could not be played by anybody else, Leslie Nielsen ( R.I P ) is Frank Drebin, Matthew Broderick is Ferris Bueller, Eddie Murphy is Axel Foley and Tim Curry is Wadsworth!

they shot a fourth ending too in which the " brandy " was dosed with a slow acting poison and the final scene was Wadsworth driving away when he sees one of the dogs is sitting in the back of the car ( we presume he was killed ) it was shot but has never been seen ( i have a hardback book/annual and it's featured in the back with a single still of Wadsworth in the car )

I hope they release a Special Edition DVD/Blu-Ray with extras!

No I don't want to spoil this for anyone that hasn't seen the film before, but out of the 3 possible endings only 1 makes sense due to the way the film was edited.Mind you it took me NUMEROUS viewings to pick up on it...despite the fact that it is rather obvious

@TNO73 They all make sense. If you'll notice, during the kitchen scene, Yvette is missing, and for a few moments, you'll notice that both Prof. Plum and Mrs. Peacock are gone, also. You'll also notice that Mrs. Peacock is also missing when everybody runs to Yvette.

@smellslikechildren1 You are correct about that, but those are only the 1st set of murders. When the Singing telegram girl is supposedly being killed by Mrs. Peacock (When the lights are out) we can clearly see her smacking the furnace in the basement. Also once the lights go out we are told Mrs. White is downstairs killing Yvette, but she too is clearly shown upstairs screaming her head off & Wadsworth trying to find her. Once the lights come back both are back on their respective floors.
